Tough Love actually out this week?
I thought that was a surefire huge smash until recently when it became clear it was getting no support or anything from anywhere. What a disaster.
A new Jamie Woon track? sure took his time there, Night Air still sounds great these days tbh
The Piano Guys! <3 you guys should check their work on the Star Wars Chello vid, it's great!
Cheering on Pony as it's a great fun track. Can't see it do too well though but will cheer it on anyway
Wet Dollars should do very well.
I hope Body on me does decently I think she is making a mistake though releasing it so early.
That is a bit weird that R1 didn't even playlist 'Pony (Jump On It)'!
I'm guessing that horrific Charlie Puth thing will be soaring to #1 this week then Praying for Calvin to somehow hold out...
Hoping Hailee Steinfeld does something this week, utterly amazing pop debut Also loving Marvin Gaye, Threads and Body On Me
Also of course highly anticipated for Lana's new one, should be amazing
Team Rita and Only The Young this week *.*
Really hoping OTY can make the top 40!
I don't hate that Marvin Gaye song, but it's kinda bland and that main lyric has to go down as one of the ABSOLUTE worst I've ever heard, I actually cringe when I hear it I can't see how someone thought 'yes that's a good lyric' when writing that song.
Meghan Trainor getting another hit too :/ This song being huge highlights why my interest in the charts is rock bottom atm. Grumble grumble etc.
Only The Young out too, quite a poor song, shame as I liked them on XF and was hoping they'd get something stronger for their lead single.
25. Charlie Puth - Marvin Gaye (feat. Meghan Trainor)
264. Only The Young - I Do
275. Tazer & Tink - Wet Dollars
277. Rita Ora - Body On Me (feat. Chris Brown) >> GREAT START <<
593. Tough Love - Pony (Jump On It) [feat. Ginuwine] [Radio Mix]
895. Sarah Harding - Threads
A boring week of Charlie Puth & Meghan Trainor at #1 it seems. Marvin Gaye would be turning in his grave if he heard that song
Rita Ora doing OA/OS? She's the last person I'd think would try that tactic. Looks like lots of labels are going for OA/OS now which is a GOOD THING!!

759. Sarah Harding - Threads
Team Calvin of course, although I'm expecting "Marvin Gaye" to reach atop on iTunes in a couple of hours though~
Anyway, there's a remix package of "How Deep Is Your Love" out (it should be considered that the original release of the Calvin and Disciples track was today, so I assume it was planned), so I hope it could help with the sales.
did Kylie's new single chart in the top 1000 yet?

119. Alesso - Sweet Escape (feat. Sirena)
235. Kylie Minogue, John Greswell & Christopher Taylor - Absolutely Anything and Anything At All (From "Absolutely Anything")
This Sarah Harding single is giving me Amelle - Summertime vibes performance wise.
Is Rita Ora available to buy or to pre-order?
Any sign of Sarah Harding?
The new Kylie track looks likely to miss out on a place in the official top 200 next week by the looks of things and Sarah Harding is looking to do even worse. It leaves it hard to predict how Sarah Harding will perform with her album when released, id like her to manage a top 40 album at the least.
Tbh assuming it gets there officially, I think "Marvin Gaye" is going to become my favourite #1 of the year thus far
1. Charlie Puth - Marvin Gaye (feat. Meghan Trainor)

984. Alex Adair - Heaven
1399. Digital Farm Animals - True
Grades doing very well there!
Come on Wet Dollars!
The Rita Ora/Chris Brown song could have been so much better.
Even the Charlie Puth song isn't THAT bad, just a little dull.
Marvin Gaye number 1.
Glitterball and Omen look like they might have some longevity in the top 10.
Black Magic still hanging in there too!
Body On Me is a bit flat for me. Good but not great.
YAY for Charlie Puth Delighted to see this is heading to #1, said right from the second I heard it I knew it was gonna be a future chart topper.
Poor Sarah though. Expected, yes, but not nice all the same. 'Threads' is a good song, no 'Beat of My Drum' but it's better than a lot of what Cheryl's put out in recent times.
I love body On Me and I don't like Rita at all.
Surprised they went with OA/OS for Rita
Sarah Harding is flopping, down with OAOS!!!
Rita Ora & Chris Brown to #13 now. I hope it goes top 10!
That slag Javine should have gone in Girls Aloud instead.
Tough Love doing a LOT better than I thought so far, I'd love for this to scrape a top 40 position.
Based on its pre-orders I was anticipating 70something for it (though that still may happen).
12. Rita Ora - Body on Me (feat. Chris Brown)
26. Tough Love - Pony (Jump On It) [feat. Ginuwine] [Radio Mix]
64. Dr. Dre - Medicine Man (feat. Eminem, Candice Pillay & Anderson .Paak)

163. Fetty Wap - Again
165. Eric Prydz - Opus
171. Hailee Steinfeld - Love Myself
176. Melé - Ambience
185. Martin Solveig & GTA - Intoxicated (Radio Edit)
228. Gabrielle Aplin - Sweet Nothing
325. Alex Adair - Heaven
385. The Piano Guys - Fight Song / Amazing Grace
696. Digital Farm Animals - True
1412. SoulCircuit - Rolling With Me (I Got Love) [feat. Maverick Sabre]
997. Sarah Harding - Threads
Tragic and hilarious at the same time, but I'm really baffled by how badly this has done. I swear it got higher in the chart on pre-orders than it has since official release?
I don't think a lot of people know who Sarah Harding even is. They probably think she's just a random newbie.
Bra
~
I'd say most people in the UK that follow music/entertainment will know who she is, for sure. It's just the case that a lot of people don't like her, sadly.
Interesting to see Rita Ora doing relatively well from OA/OS, especially so soon after "Poison" was released. Nothing spectacular as far as I'm concerned, but it'll probably grow on me. Guess the label were keen to get the Chris Brown collaboration out there, though I reckon we'll get another single promoted on the X-Factor live shows (no Chris Brown in the UK remember).
Karen Harding is a more recognisable name than Sarah Harding. Let's be real here.
Floppy Adam is back
In that case I've only heard of Threads from her opps. Maybe I live in the USA too
Sarah is about 5 years too late with this single.
Is that new Foals track only just released yday?
Poor Only The Young, I'm guessing it will just manage top 100 but I don't think it will do anything else unless they have incredibly strong physicals.
WOW at Sarah Harding though!
Poor Sarah Harding.. and Alesha Dixon thought she was flopping.
Maybe Sarah should give Alesha a call and find out how she made her single ineligible.
8. Body On Me
This is news to me. What happened to Alesha's single?
9. Rita Ora - Body on Me (feat. Chris Brown)
18. Tough Love - Pony (Jump On It) [feat. Ginuwine] [Radio Mix]
68. GRADES - King
73. Tazer & Tink - Wet Dollars
93. Otto Knows - Next to Me
108. Eric Prydz - Opus
112. Fetty Wap - Again
115. Alesso - Sweet Escape (feat. Sirena)
120. Dr. Dre - Talk About It (feat. King Mez & Justus)
195. Gabrielle Aplin - Sweet Nothing
219. The Piano Guys - Fight Song / Amazing Grace
1016. SoulCircuit - Rolling With Me (I Got Love) [feat. Maverick Sabre]
Only people who show a vague interest towards Sarah Harding's new song are people who visit Popjustice daily so what do you expect..
Marvin Gaye is one of the best pop songs of the year IMO so happy it's heading for #1 (although Calvin would be even better).
I'd be okay with it if it wasn't for that lyric (you know the one I mean).
I just can't get past it, it makes me cringe really hard.
n/a
Maroon Flop
It looks like pre-ordering losing its popularity. Less and less songs are top 100.
'Threads' has left the top 1500 This is the first time I've ever followed a single's trajectory out of the top 1500 and it only took... less than two days?
yasssssss @ tough love's progress despite virtually no radio support~
Wait, are people claiming there are some lyrics in 'Marvin Gaye' that are not utterly cringeworthy?
Really hoping Natalie gets added to some radio playlists this coming week!
Come on 'Around The World'. Be a smash
08. Body on Me (feat. Chris Brown) - Rita Ora
17. Pony (Jump On It) [feat. Ginuwine] [Radio Mix] - Tough Love
27. Peanut Butter Jelly - Galantis
4th Sept for Sigala and it's at 72, really?!
'And when you leave me all alone
I'm like a stray without a home
I'm like a dog without a bone
I just want you for my own'
Brings a tear to your eye haha
Well you only have to look at the main hook to find a sentence that DOESN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE.
All this bashing of Marvin Gaye like we're living in an era of pioneering lyricism.
Tbf I think it could be bashed on any level you fancy. Except chart position!
I hope the Meghan era is over soon. It's painful.
Although Robin Thicke probably trumps her....
Marvin Gaye is a good pop song. It is a shame they couldn't have thought of a better way of phrasing things in the chorus but I can live with that.
I love Marvin Gaye, better that song being then at number one then all this dance music
16. Tough Love - Pony (Jump On It) [feat. Ginuwine] [Radio Mix]
17. Shaggy - I Need Your Love (feat. Mohombi, Faydee & Costi)
26. Galantis - Peanut Butter Jelly
80. Otto Knows - Next to Me
89. Fetty Wap - Again
96. Eric Prydz - Opus
172. Gabrielle Aplin - Sweet Nothing
201. The Piano Guys - Fight Song / Amazing Grace
282. Alex Adair - Heaven
799. SoulCircuit - Rolling With Me (I Got Love) [feat. Maverick Sabre]
1D back to #6, hoping for BBCR1 A List this week!
15. Pony (Jump On It) [feat. Ginuwine] [Radio Mix] - Tough Love
17. I Need Your Love (feat. Mohombi, Faydee & Costi) - Shaggy
52. Like I'm Gonna Lose You (feat. John Legend) - Meghan Trainor
Yas at Pony 'jumping on' the top 15 truck!
72. GRADES - King
Holding on quite nicely through the weekend effect, would've been nice if this had got some proper radio support
hopefully radio 1 actually supports tough love now that they've done decently on iTunes without their support
Kudos to Rita Ora doing very decently with an OA/OS release, I didn't expect such a thing from her! The song didn't click with me at all like most of her output - but if it's doing decently then congrats to her. Hopefully it will also peak decently in the top-10, and that would ensure another big hit from a pop artist with OA/OS.
Now I do like a lot of rap music, bit this Whip song is somewhat terrible
Meridian Dan to somehow reclaim chart success and stop this viral atrocity going any higher please.
52. Me And The Moon - Shane Filan
https://open.spotify.com/track/1iA5ZEXOmpBPuB1lGujpGB
Could Shaggy be a future sleeper hit that will slowly climb the charts and have a long chart run with strong sales?
46. Me And The Moon - Shane Filan
Surprised by how fast this climbed up the iTunes chart. I quite like the song though.
Rita Ora is holding up much better than I expected. It will probably miss top 10 this week because of streaming, but hopefully it will get there in future weeks.
17 Good For You
New iTunes peak
31. Lana Del Rey- High By The Beach
pre-order update
101. Easy Love - Sigala (4th September)
114. Don't Be So Hard On Yourself - Jess Glynne (14th August)
136. Fight Song - Rachel Platten (21st August)
146. Intoxicated (Radio Edit) - Martin Solveig & GTA (14th August)
182. Ain't Nobody (Loves Me Better) [feat. Jasmine Thompson] - Felix Jaehn (21st August)
249. Cool for the Summer - Demi Lovato (28th August)
658. You Know You Like It (DJ Snake Remix) - AlunaGeorge & DJ Snake (4th September)
724. Around the World (feat. Fetty Wap) - Natalie La Rose (4th September)
1146. Let It All Go (Radio Edit) - RHODES & Birdy (11th September)
1194. This Summer - Maroon 5 (14th August)
If I were Maroon 5 I'd pull that release since it's obviously not going to do much (also to avoid the haters getting joy in it flopping x ) as any hype surrounding it has very quickly evaporated by the time of it's release
Intoxicated has been around for eons quite surprised it's looking likely to do something!
I wonder if Jess has a slight chance of #1 next week, just like how 'Glitterball' nearly surprised us a few weeks ago. It'll be tough to beat Charlie, but she may have a chance - at least on iTunes.
Is this the beginning of the end for pre-orders?
Hopefully! I'm enjoying the mini comeback of OA/OS releases. The recent (relative) success of Rita Ora, Calvin Harris and now Selena Gomez demonstrates OA/OS DOES work in the UK. The sooner it's implemented fully, the better.
I'd be more than happy for Jess to go to #1 with what I feel is her best solo single thus far for me
Come back when Jess Glynne's had over 12 years in pop music and is still getting hits xx
Seriously though, Jess matching the record so soon would be a bit :/ but if any song of hers does it, this should be the one as it's her best yet by a MILE imo. I don't think it will make it though - even if it's #1 on sales and misses out due to streaming.
I can't see 'Don't Be So Hard On Yourself' getting to #1 after never even cracking the top 100 on pre-orders (AFAIA), I'm sure Charlie will still be selling more than well enough in week 2.
I think we actually could be seeing the end of held-back releases (at least on a major scale) for real this time, the fact there have been some SUCCESSFUL OA/OS releases (Calvin and 1D) this time should hopefully stop labels from immediately saying it doesn't work and giving up.
I think Jess may just get to #1. It's #2 in airplay and I think it'll do better than its pre-orders may indicate. Would be great to see Jess get her 5th #1 in less than 2 years.
20. Lana Del Rey- High By The Beach
I looked in the pre-order peaks thread and here are the peaks for Jess Glynne:
#07 Rather Be
#30 My Love
#55 Right Here
#47 Real Love
#40 Hold My Hand
~#27 Not Letting Go
I don't mean to be negative, and I know pre-orders are underperforming as of late, but this doesn't bode very well for Don't Be So Hard On Yourself. Which is a shame, because I personally would have liked to see it it number one.
I've just properly listened to Marvin Gaye and wow, such a sweet song!
Yeah the lyrics are like wtf but their vocals are pretty good.
Poor Only The Young. Well, maybe their signing tour this week could help 'I Do'.
Does anyone know if they have any TV promo this week?
They did their promo last week and the week before as that was the original release date unfortunately. They had to push it back last minute as their CD singles hadn't arrived into the UK but of course they couldn't push back their promotional appearances at such short notice.
Jess Glynne wont be going to #1 next week, it will just be that boring song that doesn't make much sense that will stay there instead.
One Direction still top 5
I would like to see Jess get another number 1, simply to take the record from Cheryl.
Not even wearing PVC can save Sarah Harding out of the Top1500. She is.
7. Rita Ora ft. Chris Brown - Body On Me
14. Lana Del Rey - High By The Beach
17. Selena Gomez - Good For You
37. Foxes - Body Talk
41. Pia Mia - Do It Again
47. Meek Mill ft. Nicki Minaj - All Eyes On You
93. Charles Hamilton ft. Rita Ora - New York Raining
In all seriousness, Pia Mia has just shot up out of nowhere, and I'm not quite sure why. Was it released last night for some reason?
It has been smashing in Australia, so I imagine people are starting to notice it more? idk but it's been around for quite some time
Maybe Pia Mia is benefiting from exposure from 1Xtra
In all seriousness, it was only a matter of time before a song like this took off in the UK to some degree.
Pleased Meek Mill is consistently high! I hope he pushes R.I.C.O. soon, but with the Meek Mill - Drake beef I cannot see Drake appearing in any video
Good to see Body On Me in the top 10, but I'm yet to hear Lana's new song. She is a bit of a hit and miss for me but I do lurve a bit of Summertime Sadness w' Cedric
'Don't be so hard on yourself' is certainly Jess' best song yet since 'Rather Be' so it's a shame that it doesn't look like it'll be number one.
She definitely won't go top-40 this week, unless she shoots up top-5 and stays there. Remember Cilla and her #41 peak last week.
Great to see Lana doing well - it's a shame it probably won't chart in the top 40 this week though. I can still see it doing better than 'West Coast' in the long run though.
Isn't Lana still a pre-order? It comes out tomorrow in the UK.
1470. Watermät, Becky Hill & Tai - All My Love
This is the first occasion of a dance track (that isn't a big dance DJ like Calvin) that would've been expected to do very well being released without a pre-order. Let's see if radio picks it up!
Yess at Pia Mia starting to do something, really liking it
Also hoping Lana can go top 10 on ITunes
11. High By the Beach - Lana Del Rey
28. Do It Again (feat. Chris Brown & Tyga) - Pia Mia
171. All My Love - Watermät, Becky Hill & Tai
pre-order update
98. Easy Love - Sigala (4th September)
102. Intoxicated (Radio Edit) - Martin Solveig & GTA (14th August)
108. Fight Song - Rachel Platten (21st August)
120. Don't Be So Hard On Yourself - Jess Glynne (14th August)
141. Ain't Nobody (Loves Me Better) [feat. Jasmine Thompson] - Felix Jaehn (21st August)
198. Cool for the Summer - Demi Lovato (28th August)
669. Around the World (feat. Fetty Wap) - Natalie La Rose (4th September)
786. This Summer - Maroon 5 (14th August)
817. You Know You Like It (DJ Snake Remix) - AlunaGeorge & DJ Snake (4th September)
1246. Don't Worry (feat. Ray Dalton) [Radio Version] - Madcon (14th August)
Demi top 200 with still nearly 3 weeks until release! Maybe she could grab that #1 instead of Rachel (or Felix Jaehn) staying there for two weeks
Yay Sigala top 100 on the pre's! : should be an *easy* #1.
Would love for FS to get to #1 too and Intoxicated is STILL not released yet?
Oh and Maroon 5 is going to flop (like a motherf***er)
I really hope OA/OS works for Watermat! All My Love is incredible :'(
Do pre-order positions really indicate how well/poor a song does in the charts?
They just make themselves poor indicators as they are too stubborn with their release and are held back too long!
Is that an indication 'Intoxicated' could go top 10? I'd really love that, it's so good!
20. Galantis - Peanut Butter Jelly
23. The Score - Oh My Love
24. Pia Mia - Do It Again (feat. Chris Brown & Tyga)
47. Meek Mill - All Eyes On You (feat. Chris Brown & Nicki Minaj)
54. Fetty Wap - Again
58. X Ambassadors - Renegades
67. Jack Garratt - Weathered
110. Watermät, Becky Hill & Tai - All My Love
132. Julio Bashmore - Holding On (feat. Sam Dew)
395. Jamie Woon - Sharpness
Nice to see 'Intoxicated' coming back to smash! It was a BJSC 16th place for me earlier this year.
10. Lana Del Rey
101. Watermät, Becky Hill & Tai - All My Love
378. Jamie Woon - Sharpness
15. Selena Gomez - Good For You (feat. A$AP Rocky)
94. Watermät, Becky Hill & Tai - All My Love
I'd love to see Watermat go top 40 but I can't see it happening unless it gets airplay and a video...
I kind of hoped they'd just put it up as a pre order but I could be wrong
So happy to see Galantis smashing in the top 20, I'd love this to give them another top 10
21. Fetty Wap - Trap Queen
This is holding up remarkably well I think this could go down as one of the most loved songs of 2015.
66. Dr Dre - Talking To My Diary
Seemingly the highest track from his Compton album. Such a legend
Really enjoying 'Intoxicated' atm, hope it goes Top 10. Also Lana Del Rey deserves another big hit and 'High By The Beach' is great!
Oh wow, Demi's pre-orders are doing great!
15. Pia Mia - Do It Again (feat. Chris Brown & Tyga)
Go Pia!
Wow at Pia!
Would love for this to be a big hit, one of my favourite songs of the year!
10. Pia Mia "Do It Again (feat. Chris Brown & Tyga)"
38. Watermat, Becky Hill & Tai "All My Love"
Rise, rise, rise!
How is Pia Mia doing so well? Not at all complaining cause the song is excellent!
Watermat yes!
Although personally prefer their Instrumental Frequency (well it had lyrics but only one line) but it's great to see him (and Becky Hill) get success again!
07. Do It Again (feat. Chris Brown & Tyga) - Pia Mia
pre-order update
84. Intoxicated (Radio Edit) - Martin Solveig & GTA (14th August)
90. Fight Song - Rachel Platten (21st August)
95. Don't Be So Hard On Yourself - Jess Glynne (14th August)
98. Easy Love - Sigala (4th September)
117. Ain't Nobody (Loves Me Better) [feat. Jasmine Thompson] - Felix Jaehn (21st August)
216. Cool for the Summer - Demi Lovato (28th August)
541. This Summer - Maroon 5 (14th August)
560. Around the World (feat. Fetty Wap) - Natalie La Rose (4th September)
977. Good Times - Ella Eyre (21st August)
1073. You Know You Like It (DJ Snake Remix) - AlunaGeorge & DJ Snake (4th September)
With such a bleak pre-order list, it's no wonder why all these OA/OS tracks are doing so well/building to decent peaks.
Do It Again was like #96 the other day, was it just released then?! Amazing climb anyway, hope it's a big hit officially. It's such a jam
Is it 59p? Are Capital randomly hammering it?
How bizarre. It's not the video being released, that was released months ago, wasn't it?
It was just released this week
Even still, with it just being released it's doing amazingly well. I don't think it has any major support at all?!
She's had NO radio plays in the past 30 days according to comparemyradio too, that's crazy
06. Do It Again (feat. Chris Brown & Tyga) - Pia Mia
HUGE increase - 0.2489 > 0.2972
Wow at Pia! I hope it gets picked up by Capital/BBC Radio 1, potential #1 in the future?
You'd think this stands a chance at #1 once it gets airplay, surely! This rise has been very organic and she's not really much of a fanbase act yet so the signs are pointing that way.
DELIGHTED. It's pretty generic but that's no bad thing to me personally, so catchy and reminds me of the sort of songs that smashed in 2010 that you all probably hated.
I must be the only person so far that can't stand that Pia Mia track!
I am thrilled to see Watermat in the top 40 I just hope it can make it officially but I won't hold my breath!

Weathered up as high as 52 is fantastic to see!
I'm shocked by Pia Mia.
Not really liking it so far, but it could grow.
98 Carly Rae Jepsen - Run Away With Me
It's back! Now stay there and make a proper impression this time.
05. Pia Mia - Do It Again (feat. Chris Brown & Tyga) , I hope radio picks this up!
98. Carly Rae Jepsen - The Best Pop Song of the Decade
08. Disclosure "Omen (feat. Sam Smith)"
59. Example "Whisky Story"
If Do It Again makes the top 10 it'll make up for Lose Control by Keri Hilson, Lay It On Me by Kelly Rowland and Help Me by Tinchy Stryder missing the top 40.
surprised Intoxicated actually looks like becoming a big smash, thought it was gonna end up like Flutes with the amount of pusbacks it had. Good to see though
#1268. Leona Lewis - I Am
Finally re-appearing in the Top 1500 now. Hopefully it'll rise quite a bit more once BBC Radio 2's playlist comes into effect saturday and the release of the video within the next week.

Haven't check iTunes chart for most of week but WOW at Pia Mia! Had all the sounds of a "big in US only" kind of track but to see it rise so rapidly here is brilliant, loving it right now
Run Away With Me is good but can't help but feel like it's overrated on here and on Twitter. It's nothing ground breaking. We won't be talking about it in a years time. Let's calm down people.
Jess is looking like a #1 for me now especially when taking into account songs have been doing better than their pre-orders suggested recently, unless her streams next week are awful. Very pleased if this is the case, another fab song from her!
Wow at Pia. Happy for her, the internet seems to hate her purely for the fact that she's friends with Kylie Jenner.
I can't see Jess making #1 at all, maybe on iTunes (although I still can't see her overtaking Charlie Puth), and she'll almost certainly be knocked down by streaming.
14. Galantis - Peanut Butter Jelly
45. Example- Whisky Story
I'm still not getting that Jess Glynne song.
To me it seems like they struck upon a moment of brilliance with 'Hold My Hand', then spent some time trying to recreate what they achieved with that in the studio but after an hour thought "this will do" and gave up.
Good to see Omen by Disclosure responding well to increasing airplay!
07. Omen (feat. Sam Smith) - Disclosure
14. Peanut Butter Jelly - Galantis
31. All My Love - Watermät, Becky Hill & Tai
44. Whisky Story - Example
