The omissions from this era were all quite easy to overlook based on their chart peaks and licenses. Eminem was the only omitted #1 single from this time and along with him some omissions for the likes of Britney Spears, Example, Robbie Williams, Neon Jungle, Union J, Coldplay, Iggy Azalea and Rudimental amongst others. For some artists, this would be the only time they appeared in the series, and on this occasion that list includes Storm Queen, Arctic Monkeys, Klangkarussell, Ben Pearce, Ray Foxx, Showtek and Ylvis. Artwork Rating: 9/10 Amazing This beautiful artwork is so picturesque it could be the centrepiece of a snow globe. The stunning visuals of the city of London at night with a full moon backdrop and glittering snowfall falling onto a lake of ice makes this one of the finest artworks in the series. The giant white logo works well and its not painful to the eyes. This would be my 10/10 if it were not for another artwork to come some time afterwards. Disc 1 Favourite: Avicii Wake Me Up Always would this be my favourite track on this disc. It became his signature single and his best known one. I recall the crowds going wild for it at the time and I just loved the infectious vibes it brought. I will never tire of hearing this song. Disc 2 Favourite: Wilkinson Afterglow This is an excellent piece of D&B music from the time, from an artist that showed much potential. Probably one of my favourite dance tracks from the first half of this decade. Such a shame that Wilkinson never delivered a song on par with this one since. Disc 3 Tracklist: (A concept of what a third disc might look like if other hits from the era were used) 1. Eminem feat. Rihanna The Monster 4:10 {1} 2. Jay-Z feat. Justin Timberlake Holy Grail 5:38 {7} 3. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Mary Lambert Same Love 5:20 {6} 4. Iggy Azalea feat. T.I. Change Your Life 3:40 {10} 5. Britney Spears Work B**ch 4:07 {7} 6. Neon Jungle Trouble 2:32 {12} 7. Tinie Tempah feat. 2 Chainz Trampoline 3:45 {3} 8. Example All The Wrong Places 3:29 {13} 9. Sub Focus feat. Kele Turn It Around 3:13 {14} 10. Rudimental feat. Foxes Right Here 5:36 {14} 11. Disclosure F For You 4:29 {20} 12. Le Youth C O O L 3:34 {26} 13. Fuse ODG Azonto 2:43 {30} 14. Robin Thicke feat. Kendrick Lamar & 2 Chainz Give It 2 U 4:17 {15} 15. Justin Bieber Heartbreaker 4:22 {14} 16. Union J Beautiful Life 4:03 {8} 17. Matt Cardle & Melanie C Loving You 3:37 {14} 18. You Me At Six Lived A Lie 3:24 {11} 19. Imagine Dragons Its Time 4:00 {23} 20. London Grammar Strong 3:59 {16} ---------- Total time: 1:19:58 Overall Rating: 9/10 Amazing Credit where credit is due, this volume is amazing! This is a highlight from the series for me, so much brilliance spread across both discs and a gorgeous artwork to match it. When I considered carefully the omissions there were very few I would have opted to have included, the only ones I would have wanted were Neon Jungle and Tinie Tempah feat. 2 Chainz. The rest were expendable and therefore the right selection of songs we made. Its interesting that a previously unreleased version of Bang Bang featuring uncredited vocals from The Voice winner Leah McFall was included. This volume ends 2013 perfectly, and its 4x Platinum record is nothing to be sniffed at too! Andrew's Best 5 (as of June 2018) 1. Avicii Wake Me Up 2. Wilkinson Afterglow 3. Storm Queen Look Right Through (MK Vocal Edit) 4. Fatboy Slim and Riva Starr feat. Beardyman Eat Sleep Rave Repeat (Calvin Harris Remix) 5. Martin Garrix Animals Andrew's Worst 5 (as of June 2018) 1. Bruno Mars Gorilla 2. Jessie J Its My Party 3. Sean Paul Other Side Of Love 4. The Wanted Show Me Love (America) 5. Foxes Youth |

Looking forward to hosting this one this week. This is where they got the tracklisting spot on which couldn't have been easy considering the omissions this time around!

Disc One
1. Avicii Wake Me Up 4:06 {1} 2. OneRepublic Counting Stars 4:16 {1} 3. Lorde Royals 3:10 {1} 4. Arctic Monkeys Do I Wanna Know? 4:31 {11} 5. Martin Garrix Animals 2:45 {1} Disc Two 1. Calvin Harris feat. Ayah Marar Thinking About You 4:42 {8} 2. Avicii You Make Me 3:25 {5} 3. Lana Del Rey vs. Cedric Gervais Summertime Sadness (Cedric Gervais Remix) 3:34 {4} 4. Fatboy Slim and Riva Starr feat. Beardyman Eat Sleep Rave Repeat (Calvin Harris Remix) 3:34 {3} 5. Klangkarussell feat. Will Heard Sonnentanz (Sun Dont Shine) 3:41 {3} Artwork: 9/10 Quite a nice artwork if I do say so myself, a beautiful skyline with the colours to match. Overall: 8/10 Another instant where Disc One immediately overshadows Disc Two, but less obviously than the previous Now did. I find it funny how all of this editions #1 singles were shoved onto a single Disc, leaving the second one with no #1s The Monster, Holy Grail, Same Love, It's Time, Shot At The Night, and Strong are all brilliant songs to me, the High Contrast remix of Strong is one of my favourite dance songs of recent years tbh. Whyd You Only Call Me When Youre High?, I See Fire, Take Back The Night, Things We Lost In The Fire, All Night, and You Know You Like It are also good but are easily forgettable for the most part (especially when compared to each artists other big songs from around this time). |

Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat is actually the the full version (4:42) not the radio edit so it make it the longest song on the CD.
