BuzzJack Music Forum _ UK Charts _ Chart Forum Quiz ///// Week 5 ///// POINTLESS ///// Results

Posted by: Zárate 13th May 2018, 06:36 PM

SO HERE WE ARE

Thanks to 29 of you who played the game this time! So the good news is that for the overall leaderboard no one will be left pointless. basil.gif (I'm very sorry, I couldn't resist)

These were the questions.

1. Name a single that went to #1 which would have spent zero weeks at #1 if Accelerate Chart Ratio hadn’t been applied to the charts.
2. Name a studio Kylie Minogue album which spent more than 3 weeks in the top-10.
3. *sponsored by Campaign for better transport* Name an artist who charted in the singles chart and whose name contains a motor vehicle that is not a car. N.B. That vehicle should be a separate word, ‘Lil YACHTy’ and such won’t count.

4. Name a Buzzjack Song Contest winner song which went top-100 in the official singles charts. Only the main contest winners count; spin-offs, best ofs etc. don’t count.
5. Name a single by a male group which reached the #1 since 2005 till now. N.B. That group must consist of 3 or more people, must only consist of males and the group must not perform on the X-Factor UK with any song.
6. Name a top-100 single from an artist which has made to the top-16 of the BBC Sound of 2018. That single must solely be credited by this artist and not feature any other artists.

7. Name a Dance #1 of 1997 (Dance #1 is determined by Colm of our very own Buzzjack in the http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=179328!)
8. Name a single which slid down by exactly one place for 4 consecutive weeks within the top-40 in the single charts.
9. Name a Sugababes single (of any incarnation of its members) which went top-100 but didn’t make the top-10.

10. Name a drum&bass song which went top-20 in the singles chart.
11. Name a #1 album by Arctic Monkeys which spent more than 20 weeks in the top-75.
12. Name an artist whose songs occupied a #1 and a #2 in the singles chart of the same date. Also name these songs.

Results will be imminent! Please get ready. biggrin.gif

Very intrigued to see how these pan out.

Posted by: Jade 13th May 2018, 06:43 PM

Looking forward to this! I feel like I put more thought into this than your average Pointless round so hopefully it won't go too badly laugh.gif

Posted by: Zárate 13th May 2018, 06:46 PM

Before we start, here's some this round's trivia for you.

29 of you have participated.
Cumulatively, we've made 36 mistakes, which is averagely 3 per question and 1,24 per participant.
However, there are a dozen of you who got all the questions right, don't worry!
Despite loads of wrong questions, you still managed to give 68 pointless answers, which is 5,66 per question and 2,34 per participant.

Small reminders:
- The scoring will be a little bit different favouring the pointless results. If you are the only one to give the right answer, you get 0 points. However, if there are 2 or more people who answered the same way, they will get as many points as many people answered this way, including themselves.

- The more comments the thread has the faster it will go. biggrin.gif

Posted by: 777666jason 13th May 2018, 06:51 PM

Oooh you tease stop keeping us in suspense you can't tell us 36 wrong answers and not say who

And which smartly bums got them all right too (am I a smart
t bum or a person who got them wrong laugh.gif )

1. Name a single that went to #1 which would have spent zero weeks at #1 if Accelerate Chart Ratio hadn’t been applied to the charts.

The term Accelerate Chart Ratio (as well as the Standard Chart Ratio) has been invented halfway through the last year to make the charts less dead and to speed them up. Whichever track that spent at least 10 weeks in the chart and has been falling faster than the market for 3 consecutive weeks has been made ACR, and its streams counted for 300:1 rather than 150:1.

There have been several debates over this new invention, with this on one hand speeding the chart runs a lot, on the other hand putting the very same streams into different weights which is unfair. Also it has created really abrupt chart runs and, as some could say, 'fake' number ones which only got there because of this new rule. No one still has come to the definite conclusion on its new implement to the charts.

'Wild Thoughts' made a benefit of this rule instantly getting to that elusive #1 and artificially overcoming 'Despacito' for a week. The other two singles joined the suit later.

Points | Percentage | Answer | Players
10 | 34% | Calvin Harris feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean - Feels | Zarate, paulgilb, SM351, Dannyboy, Bre, Jade, DanG, WhoOdyssey, PeteFromLeeds, Yorkie3
7 | 24% | DJ Khaled & Rihanna - Wild Thoughts | Bjork, Chez Wombat, 777666jason, HarryEzra, TS0301, Suedehead2, Riser
7 | 24% | Rudimental feat. Jess Glynne and Macklemore - These Days | Dexton, FleetSeb, gavindeejay, Theo., UltraReputation, Dobbo, ┴פsᴉʍǝ˥

29 | 3% | Charlie Puth feat. Meghan Trainor – Marvin Gaye | awardinary
29 | 3% | Drake - Nice for What | vibe
29 | 3% | Zayn - Pillowtalk | Mack.
29 | 3% | Artists for Grenfell - Bridge over the Troubled Water | SamJudd
29 | 3% | Clean Bandit feat. Zara Larsson - Symphony | Sarah

We have spread pretty much evenly, with 'Feels' being slightly more popular. There were five wrong answers here. Artists for Grenfell could have easily been #1 either way, shifting over 160k downloads no matter what. The same with Drake. As for the others, I was on the fence about counting it to the right or wrong answers, as they could have got to #1 due to the chart ratio of 150:1 instead of 100:1 (which was accelerated). However, given the term itself was only created after they had charted and 150:1 *was* the only, i.e. standard chart ratio, I couldn't count them as the right answers.

Posted by: Dobbo 13th May 2018, 07:05 PM

Not too much damage taken for anyone (correct) there then, just went with These Days as it was more recent so thought people would be likely to avoid it!

Posted by: Jade 13th May 2018, 07:06 PM

Not the greatest start there nocheer.gif but at least there's not much in it as the options were very limited.

Posted by: HarryEzra 13th May 2018, 07:07 PM

Oh phew I thought Wild Thoughts was wrong at first but took the gamble as I had no clue laugh.gif

Posted by: gavindeejay 13th May 2018, 07:09 PM

Glad I went for Rudimental not Calvin Harris which is what I originally put down.

Posted by: vibe 13th May 2018, 07:12 PM

I am so not up to date on ACR 🙈

Posted by: Bjork 13th May 2018, 07:13 PM

there were too few options in this question, there should be minimum 5, 3 is too few

Posted by: Zárate 13th May 2018, 07:14 PM

*shameless new album plug*

2. Name a studio Kylie Minogue album which spent more than 3 weeks in the top-10.

There weren't many right options here either, as despite all the legacy, Kylie could enjoy lengthy album chart runs on quite rare occasions, especially since 'Deconstruction'.

4 | 14% | Kylie: The Album | Chez Wombat, Dexton, FleetSeb, Jade
5 | 17% | Enjoy Yourself | Dannyboy, HarryEzra, SamJudd, Sarah, PeteFromLeeds
4 | 14% | Fever | Bjork, gavindeejay, Dobbo, DanG
6 | 21% | Aphrodite | Zarate, SM351, vibe, Suedehead2, ┴פsᴉʍǝ˥, WhoOdyssey
4 | 14% | Golden | Theo., UltraReputation, Bre, Yorkie3

29 | 3% | Body Language | paulgilb
29 | 10% | Light Years | awardinary, 777666jason, TS0301
29 | 3% | Ultimate Kylie | Mack.
29 | 3% | Hand on Your Heart | Riser

The answers again spread out pretty evenly, with Aphrodite being slightly more popular than the others. You didn't forget the newest add to this, 'Golden' (which I shamelessly plug as if Buzzjack is not aware of this album being out), which got pretty much the same amount of points as the first album, 'Kylie', and the apparently the most memorable one, 'Fever'.

I get you guys with 'Light Years', it seems way bigger than it was at the time. Now it is considered a 'big Kylie comeback', however it has only spent two weeks in the top-10 shifting over 450k copies in the end (which is a pretty good result but not the greatest one especially in that album sales climate). 'Hand on Your Heart' is a song, and 'Ultimate Kylie' is not a studio album, it's a compilation album. But yes, it has spent more than 4 weeks in the albums top-10.

I prefer questions with not many answers, it doesn't penalise the entrants who can't be bothered to spend hours researching obscure answers laugh.gif

And there was a good balance of questions in this edition imo.

Ouch first wrong answer hopefully last laugh.gif

I specifically designed the questions with very few correct answers, quite a lot (but limited) correct answers and open questions to increase the variety!

Posted by: Jade 13th May 2018, 07:18 PM

Ooh okay that's more like it! Not much in it once again but of course being the (joint) lowest score is preferable to the top one laugh.gif

*I wish I banned vans too sad.gif *

3. Name an artist who charted in the singles chart and whose name contains a motor vehicle that is not a car. N.B. That vehicle should be a separate word, 'Mariah BICYCLEy', ‘Lil YACHTy’ and such won’t count.
That was a test of imagination, prepare for a lot of pointless answers! Humanity has created a big load of different ways of transportation through the years, which pretty much proves this thread! All types of trains, vans, ferries, motorcycles et all surround us and help us transport to the places we want to go.

I deliberately banned 'car' not only to reduce the amount of correct answers, as I also think that we need to reduce their usage to improve the transport situation and ecology. biggrin.gif

0 | 3% | Armand Van Helden | Sarah

3 | 10% | Van Morrison | SM351, Dannyboy, Mack.

29 | 3% | Meghan Trainor | HarryEzra
29 | 3% | Dogs Die in Hot Cars | SamJudd

If we combined all "vans" they'd be unsurprisingly the most popular answer, especially with 'Van' being a name as well as being used heavily in Dutch names. However, 'Train' was the most popular separate answer!

I really liked your idea, Harry, but I had to DNQ it, as I asked them to be the stand-alone words to avoid many many loopholes that could be used that way! And Sam, I banned cars straight away, and until the dogs receive their own motor I can't count your answer as the correct one either unfortunately!

No one went with the biggest hits / names out there, Adele (Live version of 'Someone like You' indeed entered it once! ohmy.gif with the current rules it'd be impossible to enter), Katy Perry and Ellie Goulding receiving 0 votes. No one went with 'Run Boy Run', my own entry, too, as well as with 'The Show' by Lenka.

Despite quite a big varitety not that many pointless answers. Special shout out to Bray who entered 'Tik Tok', which was actually labeled as 'Dolla' in the contest (crafty loophole!), I didn't even include it to the list of the right answers initially. I also overlooked the 1995 #37 hit 'Relax' by Crystal Waters which was entered lately by JakeWild!

Alessia Cara was from one of the spin-offs which I didn't count, and 'Euphoria' was an actual Eurovision Song Contest winner.

Alternative music is quite under represented in the charts lately, and even pop boybands don't do as well as they did before. It is mainly due to the streaming takeover where even the average rapper can clog the Spotify top-50 with the new album release, while out of alternative bands only Arctic Monkeys managed to do a huge takeover. Boybands who used to rely on fanbase first week buys / downloads also struggle now.

29 | 3% | Oasis | Dannyboy
29 | 3% | Coldplay | Riser
29 | 3% | Westlife - You Raise Me Up | Yorkie3

There were the restrictions to this questions:
- charted at #1 in 2005 or after
- the group shouldn't have participate in the X-Factor (I made this one to take out the most obvious answers).

The top answer (albeit with only 3 points) is Rage Against the Machine (which has been made the biggest anti X-Factor song by one of the most famous chart campaigns ever), some were also unlucky to make the same answers, while the others can enjoy their pointless options! biggrin.gif

The Wanted, One Direction and Westlife all performed on the X-Factor. However I counted the answers with only artists being as the answer, I couldn't count Dannyboy and Riser's ones, as Oasis and Coldplay had more than one #1 in this period, so I didn't know which one they were referring to.

6. Name a top-100 single from an artist which has made to the top-16 of the BBC Sound of 2018. That single must solely be credited by this artist and not feature any other artists.

In this age it is crucially important to support the emerging acts, as with the charts being more and more dependant on the Spotify curated playlists it is harder and harder to breakthrough for the ones who aren't supported by streaming. BBC's 'Sound of...' is one of the best ways to launch the new career, Sigrid definitely enjoyed that 'Strangers' rocketing to the top-10. biggrin.gif

5 | 17% | Sigrid - Don't Kill My Vibe | Bjork, 777666jason, Theo., UltraReputation, Yorkie3
0 | 3% | Sigrid - Strangers | gavindeejay
0 | 3% | Khalid - Young Dumb and Broke | Zarate

2 | 7% | Khalid - Location | SamJudd, Bre
3 | 10% | Alma - Chasing Highs | SM351, Dannyboy, DanG
3 | 10% | Not3s - Addison Lee | Dexton, Jade, Sarah

3 | 10% | Yxng Bane - Rihanna | awardinary, TS0301, Dobbo
2 | 7% | Yxng Bane - Vroom | FleetSeb, Riser

Funnily, 'Strangers' became a pointless, as only gavindeejay dared to enter probably the most obvious answer. On the other hand, 'Don't Kill My Vibe', also by Sigrid, is the joint biggest answer, as well as 'Aladdin' by Not3s. No one went with the biggest chart hit of the list, 'My Lover', and no one except for me biggrin.gif dared to go with 'Young, Dumb and Broke' by Khalid, which is the second pointless answer.

Quite a few pointless answers here. Given the big choice, it all got a bit random, with all Daft Punk, one of Sash!, both Quicksilver tracks, Dario G and B.B.E. being pointless. The other Sash! track is the biggest answer though. And it was even funnier when all of those votes for 'Stay' came almost in a row in the first half, and I was thinking, what kind of honey does it produce?

'Let a Boy Cry' by Gala gathered 3 votes, 1 more than her most popular 'Freed From Desire', which is also a huge dance anthem and my favourite one out of the list!

No wrong answers again, everyone did their homework well here. biggrin.gif

MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE

8. Name a single which slid down by exactly one place for 4 consecutive weeks within the top-40 in the single charts.

We, chart funs, love nice and good looking chart-runs! biggrin.gif I chose one of those nice patterns, asking you to find a chart-run with a slide of just one place in the singles chart for 4 consecutive weeks. It cause a lot of struggle for you though, and many of you misunderstood the question.

0 | 3% | Tommy Edwards - "It's All In The Game" [1-2-3-4-5] | Zarate
2 | 7% | Michael Jackson - "You Are Not Alone" [1-2-3-4-5] | TS0301, Suedehead2
6 | 21% | Eminem - "The Real Slim Shady" [1-2-3-4-5] | paulgilb, Chez Wombat, gavindeejay, SamJudd, Dobbo, DanG
4 | 14% | Ed Sheeran - "Shape of You" [1-2-3-4-5] | Dexton, 777666jason, UltraReputation, PeteFromLeeds
2 | 7% | Sigma - "Nobody to Love" [1-2-3-4-5] | ┴פsᴉʍǝ˥, Yorkie3
0 | 3% | Lady Gaga - "Poker Face" [1-2-3-4-5] | Theo.
0 | 3% | Flo Rida - "Good Feeling" [2-3-4-5-6] | Bre

29 | 3% | Calvin Harris feat. Tinie Tempah – Drinking From The Bottle [5-6-7-8] NOT ENOUGH | awardinary
29 | 7% | Adele - Rolling in the Deep [2-3-4-5] NOT ENOUGH | SM351, Dannyboy
29 | 3% | Jay-Z feat. Rihanna & Kanye West - Run This Town [3-4-5-6] NOT ENOUGH | Bjork
29 | 3% | James Morrisson & Nelly Furtado - Broken Strings [2-3-4-5-7] ALMOST THERE | vibe
29 | 3% | Spice Girls - "Spice Up Your Life" [1-2-3-4] NOT ENOUGH | Riser
29 | 3% | Lil Dicky feat. Chris Brown - Freaky Friday [1-2-3-4] NOT ENOUGH | FleetSeb
29 | 3% | Calvin Harris - Feels [1-2-3-4] NOT ENOUGH | HarryEzra
29 | 3% | Rudimental feat. Ella Eyre - Waiting All Night [1-2-2-4-5] ALMOST THERE | Mack.
29 | 3% | Pharrell Williams - Happy [1-2-3-4] NOT ENOUGH | Jade
29 | 3% | Dua Lipa - New Rules [2-3-4] NOT ENOUGH | Sarah
29 | 3% | Dua Lipa - IDGAF [5-6] NOT ENOUGH | WhoOdyssey

So we came up with 7 different correct answers, the most popular of which being 'The Real Slim Shady', which is indeed the most memorable, as achieving such a chart-run in the fast paced physical market with a huge number of held-back releases was quite an achievement. The pointless answers are the old entry by Tommy Edwards, 'Poker Face' by Lady Gaga. And the special shout out goes to Bre who was the only one who came up with the correct answer (Good Feeling) WITHOUT a #1 being part of the sequence. If I had the right I'd give you the negative point for this chart-run gem.

Now cue the wrong answers. When I'm asking you to find a chart-run with the slide of one place for 4 consecutive weeks, the song to be qualified must do it 4 times in a row. In your chart-runs most of you found the sequence of 4 numbers, but you forgot that it took three jumps to make this chart-run, with the first number being a new entry, re entry, non mover, climber or a bigger faller. If my question had been "name a single.... who slid by exactly one place within the four weeks", I would have counted your answers. But alas, unfortunately not!

Posted by: Zárate 13th May 2018, 08:56 PM

And sorry Suedehead2, you are definitely not alone!

9. Name a Sugababes single (of any incarnation of its members) which went top-100 but didn’t make the top-10.

One of the biggest British girlbands and CERTAINLY one of the most dramatic ones, Sugababes have had quite a lengthy career despite all of the line-up changes, label changes and whatever else happened to them all these years. They had some huge hits as well as minor ones, between the latter I asked you to pick one.

4 | 14% | New Year | vibe, FleetSeb, 777666jason, Mack.
7 | 24% | Run for Cover | awardinary, Dannyboy, gavindeejay, TS0301, Theo., PeteFromLeeds, Yorkie3
0 | 0% | Soul Sound |
4 | 14% | Shape | Bjork, Dexton, Dobbo, Jade
5 | 17% | Follow Me Home | paulgilb, SM351, ┴פsᴉʍǝ˥, Sarah, DanG
2 | 7% | Change | Chez Wombat, WhoOdyssey
2 | 7% | Denial | Zarate, Riser
5 | 17% | No Can Do | HarryEzra, UltraReputation, SamJudd, Suedehead2, Bre
0 | 0% | Flatline |

No incorrect or pointless answers here. Most of you went with hidden gem 'Run for Cover' (brill choice tbh but its #13 peak was unfortunate to the 7 of you), yet NO ONE remembered 'Soul Sound'. If anyone entered 'Flatline' I would count it, as I made a point of any incarnation, but no one dared to try it! (Or just forgot about its existence as well. sad.gif

Quite a lot of points to the other non-top-20 hits (that peak was considered a flop back in the day) there, No Can Do and Follow Me Home. And the four of us who picked one of the two singles from the 'Change' era were the luckiest!

10. Name a drum&bass song which went top-20 in the singles chart.

Drum&Bass became a mainstream dance genre only lately but has its roots back in the early 90s. And whoever of you remembered the obscure drum&bass hits from 90s were pretty much the winners! I really liked the way your answers came by so I didn't sort them alphabetically or anyhow! Whoever likes drum&bass may as well take this package and make a playlist of it.

4 | 14% | Pendulum - Propane Nightmares | Zarate, HarryEzra, Theo., WhoOdyssey
0 | 3% | Shy FX & T-Power - Don't Wanna Know | paulgilb
2 | 7% | Sub Focus feat. Alpines – Tidal Wave | awardinary, Suedehead2
2 | 7% | Rudimental feat. Ella Eyre - Waiting All Night | SM351, Riser
0 | 3% | Apollo 440 - Ain't Talking About Dub | Dannyboy
0 | 3% | Kosheen - Catch | Bjork

2 | 7% | Pendulum - Watercolour | Chez Wombat, gavindeejay
0 | 3% | Ed Sheeran & Rudimental - Bloodstream | Dexton
0 | 3% | M-Beat - Incredible | vibe
0 | 3% | Chase & Status feat. Moko - Count on Me | FleetSeb
0 | 3% | Sigma feat. Ella Henderson - Glitterball | 777666jason

0 | 3% | Adam F - Circles | SamJudd
0 | 3% | D Kay and Epsilon - Barcelona | Dobbo

0 | 3% | Rudimental feat. John Newman & Alex Clare - Not Giving In | PeteFromLeeds
0 | 3% | Chase & Status - Lost & Not Found | Yorkie3

'Propane Nightmares' is the only unlucky one to be answered not only by 2, but by 4 people! The only other matches were 'Tidal Wave', 'Waiting All Night', the other Pendulum hit 'Watercolour' and 'Nobody to Love'.

11. Name a #1 album by Arctic Monkeys which spent more than 20 weeks in the top-75.

Another "current" question, with Arctic Monkeys releasing a long anticipated (and a lot disappointing for many) album this week! I don't know what to make of this shift of direction, but I quite enjoyed the new one!

6 | 21% | WHATEVER PEOPLE SAY I AM THAT'S WHAT I'M | Chez Wombat, FleetSeb, Mack., Suedehead2, Dobbo, Riser
10 | 34% | FAVOURITE WORST NIGHTMARE | Zarate, Bjork, vibe, 777666jason, HarryEzra, ┴פsᴉʍǝ˥, Jade, DanG, WhoOdyssey, PeteFromLeeds
3 | 10% | SUCK IT AND SEE | Dannyboy, Dexton, SamJudd
8 | 28% | AM | paulgilb, SM351, gavindeejay, TS0301, Theo., UltraReputation, Bre, Yorkie3

29 | 7% | Humbug | awardinary, Sarah

The ones of you who answered 'Suck it and See' were the luckiest, which is really surprising to me, as it's the least memorable album to me out of the 4 eligible ones. Seems like many of us thought that and decided to opt with the more popular ones... and failed!

Two of you fell for my small trick with 'Humbug', as it's indeed a #1 and spent 24 weeks in the top-100. However, it has only spent 16 weeks in the top-75 and thus is not qualified.

Yay for Ke$ha giving me a Pointless, I figured there'd be quite a few people who don't enter BJSC who wouldn't realise 'Dolla' is the same as 'TiK ToK' tongue.gif (actually surprised there were so few incorrect answers for that as it's not immediately obvious where to find the list of winners). Also 'Good Feeling' was genuinely the first one to come to mind for that 'falling 1 place 4 weeks in a row' question because of it coming up recently in a Now! session on plug.dj, I did think of Eminem as well after that but thought Flo Rida would be a little less memorable anyway.

Posted by: Zárate 13th May 2018, 09:46 PM

Now onto the last one...

12. Name an artist whose songs occupied a #1 and a #2 in the singles chart of the same date. Also name these songs.

Only a few songs achieved that feat! Streaming era has made it far easier, half of the list comes from the latest years. Surely it's more and more to come soon. I also made it easier for you and asked you to name the songs and not artist in general (which created 4 options for Ed Sheeran), which broadened the choice.

0 | 3% | The Beatles "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "She Loves You" | SamJudd
2 | 7% | The Beatles "Hello Goodbye" and "Magical Mystery Tour" | FleetSeb, Jade
0 | 3% | John Travolta — "Summer Nights" (with Olivia Newton-John) and "Sandy" | gavindeejay
3 | 10% | John Lennon — "Imagine" and"Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" | Chez Wombat, HarryEzra, Dobbo
0 | 3% | John Lennon — "Imagine" and "Woman" | Yorkie3
3 | 10% | Frankie Goes To Hollywood "Relax" and "Two Tribes" | awardinary, Bjork, Suedehead2
4 | 14% | Madonna — "Into the Groove" and "Holiday" | Dannyboy, vibe, 777666jason, Theo.
4 | 14% | Justin Bieber "Sorry" and "Love Yourself" | SM351, TS0301, Mack., DanG
0 | 3% | Justin Bieber "Cold Water" and "Let Me Love You" | UltraReputation
0 | 0% | Justin Bieber "Despacito" and "I'm the One" |
0 | 3% | Ed Sheeran "Shape of You" and "Castle in the Hill" | Bre
4 | 14% | Ed Sheeran "Shape of You" and "How Would You Feel (Paean) | Zarate, ┴פsᴉʍǝ˥, Riser, PeteFromLeeds
0 | 3% | Ed Sheeran "Shape of You" and "Galway Girl" | Dexton
0 | 3% | Ed Sheeran "Perfect" and "River" | WhoOdyssey

29 | 3% | Frankie Laine - Hey Joe & Answer Me | paulgilb
29 | 3% | Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud & Bloodstream | Sarah

So the joint top answers are Madonna with the dance classic 'Into the Groove' and 'Holiday', Justin Bieber with 'Sorry' and 'Love Yourself' and Ed Sheeran with 'Shape of You' and 'How Would You Feel'! I was doing SO WELL until the late answers came and made 'Paean' go to top! I actually hoped it was long forgotten that no one would even remember it, I underestimated you. laugh.gif

7 of you gained pointless answers, including the other Ed Sheeran songs duets. Again, the double trick worked, this time for Bre, Dexton and WhoOdyssay! UltraReputation remembered the two Justin Bieber features, Yorkie3 was the only one who went with the second feat by John Lennon, gavindeejay was the only one who went with JohnTravolta, and SamJudd took a pointless with one of the Beatles' duets! Congratulations to all of you. biggrin.gif

Frankie Laine was ALMOST THERE, occupying #1 and #3 and #2 and #3, however it didn't make the double #1 and #2 on the same week. The fifth suggestion of Ed Sheeran of 'Bloodstream' and 'Thinking Out Loud' doesn't qualify either, as they also occupied those positions on different dates.

... and no one went with another Justin Bieber feature secuence of 'Despacito' and 'Cold Water'!

Those mean mind-games!! Well, I shall very much take 19th as I said, after the wrong answer and handful of top answers. Time to bounce back next week!

(I guess I would have accumulated 45 points without the wrong answer so I'm intrigued to see where that would've landed me. Well, with additional points from an actual right answer for that one I suppose. laugh.gif)

Mine and Sam's chart quizzes rivalry remains fierce as it's going to be really close between me keeping 2nd and her overtaking I think, after not doing as bad as I thought I would. Slay at these scores.

I'm happy with 6th, although it's funny I did better in the other Pointless round than in my own quiz.

Posted by: Zárate 13th May 2018, 11:36 PM

Okay, I was going to tease a little bit more, but since I left it too late, I'll just post the top-3. laugh.gif

Damn you Chez xx

Going from 2nd last (out of the top 30) to 2nd, dat improvement. Entering at the last minute proving to be a better strategy this time. *.

Can't believe I missed the bottom 5 even with 3 wrong answers ohmy.gif. My answers were a complete rush job as I only had about 10 minutes to spend on it this morning, so not surprised I misread a couple of the questions laugh.gif. I wish I had spent more time on it though as it was a good round! Thanks Arrs and congrats Chez biggrin.gif

Did you leave me out of question 12?

I also said Madonna Into The Groove and Holiday ?

My name is not there .

Would have been 5th without the wrong answer, I'll take that! biggrin.gif Thanks for hosting! Entering these is bringing some enjoyment to my exam season tongue.gif

Yesss getting my mojo back *.* what even is a family fortunes. I’m actually surprised, I didn’t feel I quite had as many pointlessness as what were needed.

Thanks Arrs, great round!

Sorry, I accidentally typed Dexton instead of you for your answer! But in the spreadsheet it is all correct, you are counted to this one (and Dexton to Shape of You / Galway Girl), so the scores weren't affected!

Thanks for hosting, Zarate!

A Pointless top 3! Well I never ohmy.gif
