MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE
8. Name a single which slid down by exactly one place for 4 consecutive weeks within the top-40 in the single charts. We, chart funs, love nice and good looking chart-runs! I chose one of those nice patterns, asking you to find a chart-run with a slide of just one place in the singles chart for 4 consecutive weeks. It cause a lot of struggle for you though, and many of you misunderstood the question. 0 | 3% | Tommy Edwards - "It's All In The Game" [1-2-3-4-5] | Zarate 2 | 7% | Michael Jackson - "You Are Not Alone" [1-2-3-4-5] | TS0301, Suedehead2 6 | 21% | Eminem - "The Real Slim Shady" [1-2-3-4-5] | paulgilb, Chez Wombat, gavindeejay, SamJudd, Dobbo, DanG 4 | 14% | Ed Sheeran - "Shape of You" [1-2-3-4-5] | Dexton, 777666jason, UltraReputation, PeteFromLeeds 2 | 7% | Sigma - "Nobody to Love" [1-2-3-4-5] | ┴פsᴉʍǝ˥, Yorkie3 0 | 3% | Lady Gaga - "Poker Face" [1-2-3-4-5] | Theo. 0 | 3% | Flo Rida - "Good Feeling" [2-3-4-5-6] | Bre 29 | 3% | Calvin Harris feat. Tinie Tempah – Drinking From The Bottle [5-6-7-8] NOT ENOUGH | awardinary 29 | 7% | Adele - Rolling in the Deep [2-3-4-5] NOT ENOUGH | SM351, Dannyboy 29 | 3% | Jay-Z feat. Rihanna & Kanye West - Run This Town [3-4-5-6] NOT ENOUGH | Bjork 29 | 3% | James Morrisson & Nelly Furtado - Broken Strings [2-3-4-5-7] ALMOST THERE | vibe 29 | 3% | Spice Girls - "Spice Up Your Life" [1-2-3-4] NOT ENOUGH | Riser 29 | 3% | Lil Dicky feat. Chris Brown - Freaky Friday [1-2-3-4] NOT ENOUGH | FleetSeb 29 | 3% | Calvin Harris - Feels [1-2-3-4] NOT ENOUGH | HarryEzra 29 | 3% | Rudimental feat. Ella Eyre - Waiting All Night [1-2-2-4-5] ALMOST THERE | Mack. 29 | 3% | Pharrell Williams - Happy [1-2-3-4] NOT ENOUGH | Jade 29 | 3% | Dua Lipa - New Rules [2-3-4] NOT ENOUGH | Sarah 29 | 3% | Dua Lipa - IDGAF [5-6] NOT ENOUGH | WhoOdyssey So we came up with 7 different correct answers, the most popular of which being 'The Real Slim Shady', which is indeed the most memorable, as achieving such a chart-run in the fast paced physical market with a huge number of held-back releases was quite an achievement. The pointless answers are the old entry by Tommy Edwards, 'Poker Face' by Lady Gaga. And the special shout out goes to Bre who was the only one who came up with the correct answer (Good Feeling) WITHOUT a #1 being part of the sequence. If I had the right I'd give you the negative point for this chart-run gem. Now cue the wrong answers. When I'm asking you to find a chart-run with the slide of one place for 4 consecutive weeks, the song to be qualified must do it 4 times in a row. In your chart-runs most of you found the sequence of 4 numbers, but you forgot that it took three jumps to make this chart-run, with the first number being a new entry, re entry, non mover, climber or a bigger faller. If my question had been "name a single.... who slid by exactly one place within the four weeks", I would have counted your answers. But alas, unfortunately not! |

That question legit gave me hell, I don't think I've ever spent so long on polyhex/a question on a game on this forum in my life And then I remembered Dan did that top 100 chart-run thing every week so flicked through there and found Shape Of You after a million hours so thanks Dan x

Yeah okay I definitely misread that question as just four weeks oops. What a terrible week :')
I was trying to think of a cool chart-run that was pointed out at a Now session recently but I couldn't remember what it was. That was 'Good Feeling' x |

9. Name a Sugababes single (of any incarnation of its members) which went top-100 but didn’t make the top-10. One of the biggest British girlbands and CERTAINLY one of the most dramatic ones, Sugababes have had quite a lengthy career despite all of the line-up changes, label changes and whatever else happened to them all these years. They had some huge hits as well as minor ones, between the latter I asked you to pick one. 4 | 14% | New Year | vibe, FleetSeb, 777666jason, Mack. 7 | 24% | Run for Cover | awardinary, Dannyboy, gavindeejay, TS0301, Theo., PeteFromLeeds, Yorkie3 0 | 0% | Soul Sound | 4 | 14% | Shape | Bjork, Dexton, Dobbo, Jade 5 | 17% | Follow Me Home | paulgilb, SM351, ┴פsᴉʍǝ˥, Sarah, DanG 2 | 7% | Change | Chez Wombat, WhoOdyssey 2 | 7% | Denial | Zarate, Riser 5 | 17% | No Can Do | HarryEzra, UltraReputation, SamJudd, Suedehead2, Bre 0 | 0% | Flatline | No incorrect or pointless answers here. Most of you went with hidden gem 'Run for Cover' (brill choice tbh but its #13 peak was unfortunate to the 7 of you), yet NO ONE remembered 'Soul Sound'. If anyone entered 'Flatline' I would count it, as I made a point of any incarnation, but no one dared to try it! (Or just forgot about its existence as well. Quite a lot of points to the other non-top-20 hits (that peak was considered a flop back in the day) there, No Can Do and Follow Me Home. And the four of us who picked one of the two singles from the 'Change' era were the luckiest! |

I thankfully remembered that stat from everyhit.com (RIP), although I actually intended it as 1-2-3-4 as well, hooray for another drop I didn't know about saving me! Just happy to get a right answer there.
This is not going too bad woop, gah at Jordan going for Van Halen too though, was sure I was on to something there. |

It has a list of "Gradual falls from number one" |

The next question may be pretty much nominated for the worst 'Pointless' questions ever, with there'll be an enormous number of pointless answers! What a playlist we have made tho.

10. Name a drum&bass song which went top-20 in the singles chart. Drum&Bass became a mainstream dance genre only lately but has its roots back in the early 90s. And whoever of you remembered the obscure drum&bass hits from 90s were pretty much the winners! I really liked the way your answers came by so I didn't sort them alphabetically or anyhow! Whoever likes drum&bass may as well take this package and make a playlist of it. 4 | 14% | Pendulum - Propane Nightmares | Zarate, HarryEzra, Theo., WhoOdyssey 0 | 3% | Shy FX & T-Power - Don't Wanna Know | paulgilb 2 | 7% | Sub Focus feat. Alpines – Tidal Wave | awardinary, Suedehead2 2 | 7% | Rudimental feat. Ella Eyre - Waiting All Night | SM351, Riser 0 | 3% | Apollo 440 - Ain't Talking About Dub | Dannyboy 0 | 3% | Kosheen - Catch | Bjork 2 | 7% | Pendulum - Watercolour | Chez Wombat, gavindeejay 0 | 3% | Ed Sheeran & Rudimental - Bloodstream | Dexton 0 | 3% | M-Beat - Incredible | vibe 0 | 3% | Chase & Status feat. Moko - Count on Me | FleetSeb 0 | 3% | Sigma feat. Ella Henderson - Glitterball | 777666jason 0 | 3% | Wilkinson - Dirty Love | TS0301 2 | 7% | Sigma - Nobody to Love | UltraReputation, ┴פsᴉʍǝ˥ 0 | 3% | Chase & Status - Blind Faith | Mack. 0 | 3% | Adam F - Circles | SamJudd 0 | 3% | D Kay and Epsilon - Barcelona | Dobbo 0 | 3% | DJ Fresh - The Feeling | Bre 0 | 3% | Sigma feat. Labrinth - Higher | Jade 0 | 3% | DJ Fresh feat. Rita Ora - Hot Right Now | Sarah 0 | 3% | Roni Size & Reprazent - Brown Paper Bag | DanG 0 | 3% | Rudimental feat. John Newman & Alex Clare - Not Giving In | PeteFromLeeds 0 | 3% | Chase & Status - Lost & Not Found | Yorkie3 'Propane Nightmares' is the only unlucky one to be answered not only by 2, but by 4 people! The only other matches were 'Tidal Wave', 'Waiting All Night', the other Pendulum hit 'Watercolour' and 'Nobody to Love'. |
