Hello! Arctic Monkeys spend another week at #1, with the lead single from their new album Four Out of Five. In Bloom by Welsh punk group Neck Deep climbs one place to reach a new peak of #2. There is a surprising new entry from DJ duo Mint Royale who split up in 2016, their 2005 remix of the song Singin' in the Rain by Gene Kelly and later reached #1 on the Official Chart after being used for George Sampson's Britain's Got Talent final performance in 2008. This week's highest climber is International Blue by Manic Street Preachers, who performed the song on Later with Jools Holland two weeks ago, I am looking forward to seeing them this Summer at the Isle of Wight Festival. Another high climber is Thought Contagion by Muse, which took a while to click with me, but I'm a big fan now. Empress by Snow Patrol heads into the top 10 at #9, ahead of their new album Wildness out today! There are two new entries from The Kooks, their first songs from their upcoming album Let's Go Sunshine, No Pressure is at #11 and All the Time is at #35. Other new entries include the likes of Tom Grennan, Christine and the Queens, Clean Bandit and Panic! at the Disco, among others. Next week, I'm expecting to see a big rise for Panic! at the Disco's High Hopes, as well as lots of entries from Snow Patrol's album Wildness. Also, possible new entries from Good Charlotte and Jonas Blue. See you next week! (which may be slightly delayed) 1. Arctic Monkeys - Four Out of Five (1-1) 2. Neck Deep - In Bloom (3-2) 3. Hey there WhoOdyssey
'Four Out Of Five' is a great #1 *.* I saw a few underwhelming reviews of the album but I loved both of the songs from it that they played on the chart haha, especially that one. So I may well have to check it out. Mint Royale being a new entry this week is a very welcome throwback *.* I discovered that song through George Sampson's BGT semi and final performances and loved it so much, was so happy it went to #1 here! Neon Trees is also a wonderful blast from the past. Loving the new entries courtesy of Christine and the Queens, Clean Bandit and Royal Blood also! |

Yeah, I love TBH+C, it's very different from what they usually release, but I love it. FOOF is definitely the stand-out track for me, but there are lots of other good ones. All the BGT hype recently reminded me of Singin' in the Rain, and it's been stuck in my head a lot for the last few weeks. |
