Let's be honest here, we got this one. The girls are incredible vocalists and have done some great covers. I'm going to kick us off with a few of my faves and why I'm nominating them
Line-up \ 1.0 (1.1 or 5.0 if you prefer) aka MKS Song \ Royals Why \ I mean cmon. The original is terrible and this is just so stunning. Those harmonies are incredible and Mutya's grit really works with this track. Line-up \ 4.0 aka last people to release as Sugababes Song \ Rabbit Heart Why \ There is some really nice harmonies in this. Line-up \ 3.0 Song \ Spiralling Why \ I have a soft spot for this cover. There's something so lovely about their vocals. Line-up \ 1.0 (as in 14/15 years old Sugababes) Song \ Like A Virgin Why \ Lovely A Capella version of Madonna but a little on the short side And finally, my fave covers (not counting Freak which is technically a cover but they did release it) Line-up \ 3.0 Song \ I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor Why \ none needed. just listen to it Line-up \ 3.0 feat Patti Labelle Song \ Lady Marmalade Why \ OMG This is soooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooooooood |

So many good ones here but my favourite would be the Keane cover

From what I understand there's actually a studio version of their Diamonds cover. Hope that leaks one day.

MKS apparently did studio versions of Diamonds and Royals. Both need to leak like yesterday.

Also, from memory Siobhan is actually a huge Madonna fan and Keisha at 15 really liked The Thong Song.
Now you know! |

Their 'Royals' cover gets my vote! Mutya shines on that.
I also have a huge soft spot for their Arctic Monkeys cover but I can't see that being a winning choice! Everyone knows it's not cool for a pop group to cover real music. |

I totally don't want to admit this but as a Canadian living in a fully Spice Girls/Sugababes world for so long (barely listening to other music), I had NO idea who the Arctic Monkeys were until I heard Sugababes' cover of IBYLGOTD and I loved it SO MUCH that I looked up Arctic Monkeys and then fell in love with them. To this day, I've never seen a Sugababe live but I've been to several Arctic Monkeys shows!
That Royals cover is amazing. |
