How odd that the last series of Silent Witness is only getting a DVD release a YEAR after it aired. That seems an insanely long time.

I think it's utterly ridiculous, be it for a UK or a US show (I can kind of understand with US shows given TV channels here buy the rights to air them and they wouldn't want DVD's on sale before they air them), but for an industry so concerned with piracy they sure do make it easy to see why it's so rampant.

I agree. 'Game of Thrones' is the main one for me, Season 4 is only released in February which is 8 months since it finished. For a show that's surrounded in shocking moments and therefore easy spoilers, it's surprising that they don't release the DVDs earlier as people want to view the episodes as quick as possible meaning that piracy is going to be a likely option.

what a waste of dvd space.
releasing the final episode of maranda (an hour at most) on it's own dvd? why not just put it on the end of series 3... can not wait for benidorm. i've only just got in to that show same for series 2 of broadchurch. didn't think i'd like it but it's okay |
