  Introduced as Oswin Oswald, who died in the Dalek Asylum, before we see her again confusingly in the Victorian era as Clara Oswin Oswald (who also died, of course), Clara Oswald was a mystery to the Doctor. He dubbed her the "impossible girl", who even the TARDIS didn't like. Clara proved herself to be one of the most important companions to the Doctor, being scattered across his timeline to save his life time and time again and stop the Great Intelligence wiping him from existence. After the Doctor's regeneration, Clara was initially sceptical, but became the Twelfth Doctor's greatest asset, helping him adjust to his new personality. Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman undeniably had some of the best chemistry this show's seen, and Clara deservedly finishes in the top 10! 09. Clara Oswald (8 votes | 36.36%) 10. Has to be Martha now (*gets demoted*), she was lucky to be in the series when the writing was still brilliant, but otherwise, she was pretty forgettable, especially between Rose and Donna.

I went for Sarah Jane, i’m thinking of her just as a New Who companion in Doctor Who, she was only in three eps, and was a side character in two. Overall she’s probably high up there though.

poor Clara, she was fab. The Dalek episode alone was enough to be great, but she gave us a long run of fabness and then died again, and then didn't die sort of, left as a sort of living dead. The writers had it in for her!

It’s too hard but went with Captain Jack on the basis that he’s probably better in the leader role (Torchwood) than companion. I dunno, I’m trying to find any reason to vote for someone.
On the other hand, STILL no one saying they’re voting Bill???? |
