Next out it's 20 Y.O., Janet's 9th studio album released in 2006. The title, and the twenty years stated in it, reference her album 'Control' which was released 20 years prior to this. Janet commemorates that album's 20th anniversary with an album said to represent the "celebration of the joyful liberation and history-making musical style" of 'Control'. Obviously not as seminal as the album it pays homage to, it was met with a luke-warm reaction. Debuting at #2 on the US charts, but not doing much elsewhere, it was however a Grammy nominated album (Best Contemporary R&B Album in 2007). Its singles: 'Call On Me', 'So Excited' and 'With U' aren't really seen as classics by her, nor are they hugely remembered. The album was her final on label Virgin as she readied a closing of one chapter and the start of the next 20 years~ 09. 20 Y.O. [7 votes / 77.78%] 10. Janet Jackson [3 votes / 20.00%] 11. Dream Street [8 votes / 53.33%] |

I am not too upset about '20 Y.O.' being out already, although big shoutout to 'Call On Me', the album's lead single. Love that!
It's 'Discipline' again for me this time~ |

I've gone for Discipline, I can't really remember anything from my first listen to it whereas there's songs on All For You and Damita Jo that I do and/or also return to.

Ah I really like 20 Y.O! I would’ve started voting for it soon though, she’s got such a strong discography.
Call on Me and Daybreak are my two favourites from it All For You again for me. Another one that I like a lot but definitely prefer the others! The Velvet Rope already having a vote though whaaaaat |

Discipline. I loved it back then but now it pales in comparison to others remaining here.
