Will be interesting to see whether Sunderland will be able to bounce back up or whether they will really struggle. I feel like it'll be one of the two.
Michael Collins has been appointed at Bradford City as head coach. It is a promotion from being under 18 boss.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44518430
Grant McCann has been appointed at Doncaster to replace Darren Ferguson.

An interesting choice of manager to replace Paul Hurst by Shrewsbury - will be tough to achieve what they did last year you would think!
Yes it will be a big ask for Shrewsbury to challenge for promotion this season.
Promotion simply has to be the aim this season, but it's going to be difficult. We're a club in complete transition at the moment; we've finally got rid of Short and the rest of the charlatans at boardroom level, we've got a new manager and backroom staff and we're in the midst of revamping our squad. I've not heard of many of the players we've brought in so far but most of them have came highly rated so we'll see, we still need to get shot of the likes of Cattermole, Djiliobodji, Kone, who are eating up massive wages before we can strengthen any further.
Personally, after two of the worst seasons of my life, I just want to get back to feeling some pride in my team again.
I'm going to say that I think Sunderland will go back up to the Championship.

Can't wait to see how Accrington fair in this league!
We have the first managerial casualty of the season already. Gary Bowyer has left Blackpool.
Confirmation of Bowyer's departure and the news hitherto not mentioned here that Terry McPhillips is caretaker manager.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45090865
Peterborough are going strong here in this league, Sunderland not far behind.
Impressive by Peterborough considering they lost their top scorer Jack Marriot in the summer!
Nicky Daws has also been sacked at Scunthorpe.
Andy Dawson is caretaker.

Bradford sacked Michael Collins after 6 games:

And his replacement is David Hopkin:

Bristol Rovers 0-1 Walsall
Rovers conceding in the 94th minute
Burton Albion 1-0 Bristol Rovers
Another goal conceded in the last minute
AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley has left the club by mutual consent after 6 years in charge, he was the third longest-serving boss in England's top four divisions
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46180231
Shrewsbury Town have sacked manager John Askey
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46032234
Kevin Nolan has turned down the chance to become AFC Wimbledon's new manager.
I was surprised he left Notts County after the playoff defeat!
Sam Ricketts is the new manager of Shrewsbury Town after leaving Wrexham for them.
Peterborough United's Barry Fry has been charged by the FA for alleged misconduct in relation to betting.
Only been a few times this season (I can't afford to be spending £25+ on a League 1 game) but there's no way Posh will be staying in the top 6. The football is terrible from what I've seen/heard from other fans, but then that was always going to happen with Steve Evans in charge. Seems crazy (because of a current top 6 position) but a lot of fans already want him gone, everything about the guy is embarrassing. He's no better than Grant McCann but probably on at least twice the wage!
Is it 25 quid into a league one game??
Jesus Christ is it not apx 30 into some premier league grounds? Aul barry fry the Tory prick!
Who else would you want in charge, Damon?
Sunderland set League One crowd record as 46,000 watched McGeady clinch a crucial three points against Bradford.
That's mental the crowd figure for a third tier game!!
I know more people watch footy on Boxing Day but bloody hell. The Irish league always have full houses for the Stevens day games too which is impressive for our league so a normal attendance of 800 will jump to 3000 which makes for a great atmosphere!!
Bristol Rovers have appointed caretaker boss Graham Coughlan as their manager on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Nathan Jones leaving Luton Town to be the new manager of Stoke City apparently, nothing confirmed yet.
Luton Town will be looking for a new manager as Nathan Jones has appointed Stoke City manager.
Peterborough United have appointed former manager Darren Ferguson as their new boss after sacking Steve Evans, with the club sixth in League One.
Why did they sack Evans when in a playoff position??
They are five points below fifth place, having only won two out of eleven league games since the start of December - which was poor compared to the start of the season where they won all of their first five. They want promotion.
They maybe should understand they are not guaranteed promotion especially after selling their top scorer last year, should have been given longer!
David Hopkin has resigned as manager of Bradford City after less than six months in charge.
Peterborough United have sacked defender Josh Yorwerth after he was given a four-year ban for evading an anti-doping test and taking cocaine.
The 23-year-old - who has not played since September - was charged by the Football Association in December.
Rochdale have sacked manager Keith Hill after six years in charge in his second spell at the League One club.
Just nine points separate 12th from 24th with most teams having eight games left.
The so called big clubs in league one really are in the top half this season apart from Bradford who are likely to be relegated already.
Didn't realise Accrington are so close to the bottom 4!
Southend United sack Chris Powell amid 11-game winless run in League One relegation battle.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47706545
Five clubs have offered Coventry City the opportunity to groundshare next season, as their financial situation continues to go unresolved.
It is a crazy season in league one for sure.
EFL on Quest has expanded to two hours from this coming week to cover more from League One and Two until the end of the season.
Really? That's pretty cool!
Bradford City are investigating racist messages sent to Charlton striker Lyle Taylor on Twitter following Saturday's League One game at The Valley.
The 29-year-old was sent a series of banana emojis from an account which has since been deleted.
I reckon Bradford, Walsall, Accrington and Wycombe will go. But it’s changing so much. Probably have a different view on Saturday.
No points deduction for Blackpool:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47899636
Barnsley have complained to the English Football League and Football Association following an alleged incident involving head coach Daniel Stendel and Fleetwood boss Joey Barton.
Are Luton nearly up yet?
Following the sale of the Ricoh to Wasps the club are in talks to continue playing there but have also signed an agreement to ground share at an alternative location. Not much more to go on as the news is just breaking here in the West Midlands with an AGM due by the football league at the end of May.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48036903
Why now?
Plymouth Argyle have sacked manager Derek Adams after the club dropped into the League One relegation zone.
Adams had been in charge since June 2015, leading the side to promotion from League Two in 2017 and to seventh place in League One last season.
Shrewsbury Town striker Fejiri Okenabirhie scored a second-half equaliser to secure League One status for his side and end Coventry City's slim play-off hopes.
Luton abd Barnsley promoted to the Championship following Sunderland and Portsmouths defeat tonight!
Play-off Semi-finals
Doncaster v Charlton
Sunderland v Portsmouth
Doncaster would be my team of choice there....
Charlton with the advantage then after the first leg against Doncaster.
Scunthorpe United have named former Ipswich and Shrewsbury boss Paul Hurst as their new manager.
Sunderland are the first team into the league one playoff final after a 0-0 draw at fratton Park vs Portsmouth - they go through 1-0 on aggregate.
What actually happened there?
Charlton Athletic beat Doncaster on penalties to reach the League One play-off final after Rovers had forced extra-time on a dramatic night at The Valley. It will be a Charlton Athletic v Sunderland final then.
Idiot like
So on Sunday, it is the play-off final between Charlton Athletic v Sunderland
Who do you think will win?
Charlton Athletic were last in the Championship in the 2015/16 season.
Sunderland were last in the Championship in the 2017/18 season.
Hope Charlton win for me!
Gillingham have named Steve Evans as their new manager.
Well done to Charlton for returning to the Championship with a playoff final 2-1 win against Sunderland. They will join Barnsley & Luton Town in the division next season, just one step away for the top tier.
More stadium problems for Coventry City, apparently a one year deal has been made to groundshare at St Andrews next season. By doing this they will no longer be expelled from the EFL.
So the Coventry shambles rambles on for another year.
