No major shocks there although I'm surprised 12 is so high.

The big question is will 10 and 11 switch places by Wednesday depriving 10 of making chart history.

This is the big top 40 we're talking about so it is made up from the beginning. For example there is no way Band Aid will rise 12 places up the YTD based on this weeks sales (if we compare to Vidcapper's most recent thread).

They probably just get given sales data from iTunes or something like that. |

I highly doubt it's made up. They probably just get given sales data from iTunes or something like that. I always thought iTunes was under exclusive contract to the OCC but I could be wrong. Whatever info they get it isn't as comprehensive as the OCC so perhaps "made up" was the wrong phrase but certainly "not as accurate" is true. |

I presume this chart is based on download sales and doesn't include streams because there are some big variations compared to the sales figures calculated on the weekly top40? Cheryl Cole and Sigma Changing arent even top40 in the combined sales chart.

I don't think we should be taking any notice of this chart to be honest, its not exactly official. I find it more of a distraction from the official chart which will be announced on Wednesday.

I think it's more correct to than OCC's effort. Where streaming pushes back anything released between Jan & June. Big Top 40 was based on total sales from iTunes alone. No streaming at all or physical sales.
