-------------------
This is one of my most anticipated releases of the year. After Sprained Ankle blew me away, I've been so keen to hear more from her. Appointments is, as expected, absolutely stunning. I've been fortunate enough to get the Pink/Purple splatter variant vinyl on pre-order. Check out this girl, she is going to absolutely blow up. Julien opened for Paramore just a couple of weeks back and Hayley Williams is a massive fan of her.
I'm staying in tonight
I won't stop you from leaving
I know that I'm not what you wanted, am I?
Wanted someone who I used to be like
Now you think I'm not trying
But don't argue, it's not worth the effort to lie
You don't wanna bring it up
And I already know how we look
You don't have to remind me so much how I disappoint you
So trust that I talked to somebody again
That knows how to help me get better, until then
I should just try not to miss anymore appointments
I am literally just listening to 'Appointments'! It's fantastic, been too long since I heard something like that... feels like the alt-female sound has been away too long.
There appears to be an orange vinyl version too although I'm not sure where to get it from? I'm not here for black vinyl any longer!
(plus, listening to Go Home now and it seems lovely on first listen )
If you have no luck getting a pretty colour, hit me up in October because I ordered two of the pink/purple splatter version and I would be willing to let you have my spare x
Oh my gosh that's so lovely!
oh my god sprained ankle has been vaporizing my soul for the past like 3 months i can't wait
Video released for Appointments
This girl can ruin me in the best way.
Orange variant available to pre order through 6131 records. 300 available at the moment with the remaining 1700 to be released through Matador on 27/10. Dandy - keep an eye out!
New single, Turn Out The Lights <3
She's actually just filmed a new Tiny Desk concert which hopefully should be uploaded shortly.
This is released on Friday. I'm so excited!!! <3
So this is beautiful and devastating as expected.
If I could do what I want
I'd become an electrician
I'd climb inside my head
And I'd rearrange the wires in my brain
A different me would be inhabiting this body
Have two cars, a garage, a job
And I would go to church on Sunday
A diagram of faulty circuitry
Explains how I was made
And now the engineer is listening
As I voice all my complaints
From an orchestra of shaking metal keeping me awake
I was just wondering if there was any way that you made a mistake
This accompanied me on my train journey back from London yesterday and it is so beautiful. It strikes me that it will only continue to grow and grow with more listens too...
totally in love with the new album
flying to berlin to see her live in a couple weeks
it's a pity she missed the top 100 in the UK, was around #75 in the first mids
pitchfork gave her a very very good review

I'm seeing her tomorrow! Aaaah. Super excited.
Also, it's just been announced that she's supporting Belle & Sebastian in March.

should be the other way around
please tell us how the gig was!! I'm seeing her next week
Okay so Julien was amazing. I was second row from the front and was so close to her. Came onstage about 21:15 and was finished about 22:30 (which is good as I had a two hour car journey home )
She played:
1. Appointments
2. Happy To Be Here
3. 100 Dollars (Manchester Orchestra cover)
4. Everybody Does
5. Sprained Ankle
6. Shadowboxing
7. Sour Breath
8. Funeral Pyre
9. Televangelist
10. Hurt Less
11. Rejoice
12. Turn Out the Lights
13. Something
Go Home was on the printed setlist before Rejoice but was cut, in favour of playing 100 dollars earlier in the set. Slightly disappointed I didn't get to hear Go Home or Claws In Your Back but she just played and sang so well. She had a bit of banter with the crowd which was nice and said it was really special to be sharing the room and coming together with everyone, when the songs are about isolation and feeling alone.
Spent a small fortune on merch - got 2 tshirts, an enamel pin & a tote bag. Also got the orange vinyl for dandykins. I managed to video every song so I'll try and upload/rip the audio as she sounds good. Bjork you will not be disappointed!
great setlist, please up the videos to yt if you can
I'm also scared that I'm gonna spend a fortune on merch, since I'm kinda addicted to buying vinyl
glad she's always finishing with something as it's my alltime fav of hers
this is my fav version of something
just read shes charted at #78 in the US, pity she missed the top 100 in the UK

So pleased you had such a great experience. She really is something special. Thanks for the videos <3
I'm liking the live videos, I really must try and see her next time she tours and she is quite spellbinding as a performer.
