Yes, The hallowed oracle that is Christine Baranski will be reprising her life altering role as Diane Lockhart in the new Good Wife spin off, confirmed for CBS All Access. There's literally no more detail at this point (other than Lucca Quinn joining her) but this cannot be anything other than amazing news and I will hear nothing against it.

That's excellent news as I love both characters. It'll be interesting how they'll explain Alicia's absence (as they're best friends with Lucca) as well as how far in the future it'll take place.

^ The article I read states that it'll pick up a year after the finale.
I love both characters too so as much as I wasn't too sad to see The Good Wife go in the end (what with season 7 easily being the weakest that they did), this is exciting news and I am here for it!! |

Marissa was one of my favourite characters so yes for her returning, in fact by the end I liked pretty much all the female characters aside from Alicia!

Previews circulating, looks good. A major Canadian network picked it up as well. Pretty much airs here in TGW's old spot.

I absolutely loved both episodes. It has maintained the brilliant acting and directing of The Good Wife, but with new and more interesting storylines. Couldn't ask for more.
And can we talk about the opening titles? A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. This post has been edited by ♡ Heezus Froot ♡: 21st February 2017, 03:25 AM |

The first 2 episodes of this were brilliant. I went in a bit hesitant but I'm totally hooked already. Absolutely top notch.

I like how they're less restricted on running times of the episodes due to it being on CBS All Access, and some of the content too.
I think Barbara has a fair amount of potential out of the new characters and Marissa remains fabulous. |

This is fantastic. It's what the old The Good Wife used to be before it turned awful.
And Marissa is fab as usual. |

Sensational, the move to streaming has enlivened the show. I don't always think swearing makes much of a difference and can in fact often be a detractor, but for this is really works because they deploy it sparingly and also at really emotive points where it feels natural and earned. I thought the pilot was functional, but not amazing, episode 2 however was incredible! Peak Good Wife with about 20 plates on the go at once and everyone firing on all cylinders.
Tonally I like that it's a little bit darker than the TGW, but still totally in keeping with the ethos of the show ad obviously I am living for Diane as the central character, even if she isn't really the central focus in the same way Alicia was. |

Finally watched Episode 2. 100x Better.
It doesn't actually feel like the same show as The Good Wife. Which I like. Definitely darker. |
