Dua has already stated she's working on album 2! Who else thinks we could get a 2018 Q4 release?!
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if she rinsed Q4 to sell self titled, and then released a new single in like late Q2 with and album for Q4
Oh this is very exciting not sure if I want another single from Album 1 but if not I reckon she could have a feature planned for Q4 that will get her name out there.
They need to strike the iron while it's hot and definitely get a 2nd album out sooner rather than later!
I think Dua's in a situation a bit more like Shawn Mendes. Stitches was his breakthrough hit and that came after his album (albeit almost a year after it, as opposed to a few months like this). He managed to strike while the iron was hot and got Treat You Better out ~6 months later, then the second album and he did really well. Dua's in a similar kinda spot, she could probably do with a new single out in Q2 or so next year and the album late Q3 maybe.
A new single in like Feb and then another for summer before the album would be perfect! Maybe a feature alongside one or the other as well if she can.
I hope she experiments a bit with this album, her best songs are still the ones she did before BTO blew up across Europe
I really think we will get a Q4 collab???
She has been in the studio with Flume and Diplo.
Regarding the former, she mentioned that it was an attempt to know each other because they previously haven't, but they will be recording soon. Also, they were with Sarah Aarons, who co-wrote "Stay" by Zedd and Alessia Cara. That said, I'm looking forward to this. Besides Calvin Harris, Flume is also one of my favourite producers and they could work really well together in my opinion.
Flume would absolutely fab <3 Well, both would really.
A flume collab would actually so amazing omg
This album could be really good. I can imagine loads of big producers will be wanting to work with her as she's a fresh new but very successful pop star.
omg flume YES PLEASE!! I imagine her vocals on a song like Never Be Like You.
She's currently in Jamaica, where she's going to start writing for her next album.
From https://www.instagram.com/p/Bdh9aaUlse5/:
She's with Andrew Wyatt and Caroline Ailin in Jamaica now.
I love Andrew Wyatt! <3
I really want this album to kick off at the end of the year, but I have a feeling it'll be out around this time next year, with maybe a Q4 single beforhand?
I'm hoping lessons are learned from the debut with her and the team realising what works and doesn't work. For every fantastic song, there was a more filler-type track and that spoiled the flow of the album for me. I imagine she's one of the hottest people to work with right now which is fab news...so long as they bare in mind quality-control.
That sounds slightly negative, so don't get me wrong, I am really looking forward to what the second album has to offer. Hopefully we'll get a couple of interesting vocal collabs too.
We know right now that Dua Lipa is in America recording her new album but she posted this in the midst of recording sessions...

Ariana World Update
@Arianaworldupd2
Update: ILYA and Savan Kotecha recently following DUALIPA on instagram after DUALIPA'S post these two have worked for many ariana's songs 👀
SO HERE FOR IT
If there's a collaboration between the two of them, I think it will be on Ariana Grande's album. Ilya and Savan Kotecha (which are from Max Martin's camp) have previously worked with Ariana, so I could see this to happen to be honest. Another possibility is that Warner enlisted them to work on Dua's second album, but I'm not too sure about this yet.
Idk we know Dua is currently recording for Album 2 so it could be for her?
so here for this
I would love for this to happen! Great to see Dua networking with a big name anyway, an A List collaboration is bound to happen at any point.
I feel like Dua would be a weird collab for Ari to have on her album. Surely it’s the other way round?
More likely the collaboration for AG4 instead.
Oh my.
But even without Max, she's set herself up incredibly nicely for her 2nd era. She just needs to capitalise asap. Preferably once IDGAF has done it's job.
If I remember correctly, when she posted the picture with Ariana Grande on Instagram, it was mentioned that Max Martin's crew (I think it was Savan Kotecha and Ilya Salmanzadeh) followed her on her social media.
As a side note, she was working with Caroline Ailin, Emily Warren and Ian Kirkpatrick (the team behind "New Rules") again in Los Angeles a week after she was in Jamaica.
I’m super hyped for this album, I hope it comes in Q4. I feel like with everyone she’s working with and the hype she’s built
it could be a real Teenage Dream moment for her.
She confirmed that there won't be more singles from her self-titled debut album during the M&G on her Cardiff show today.
To be released next year.
From http://www.nme.com/music-interviews/dua-lipa-interview-2018-2325035:
She confirmed to Fantástico, a Brazilian TV sports show, that "One Kiss" will be included in the album.
From http://g1.globo.com/fantastico/noticia/2018/07/dua-lipa-lota-estadios-com-sucesso-de-hino-do-empoderamento-feminino.html: (translated from Portuguese)
She has been in the studio with Jason Evigan.
She's in the studio with Tove Lo in Stockholm, Sweden.
Mark Ronson has said that he plans to work with Dua again for DL2!
https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/mark-ronson-to-work-on-dua-lipas-second-album-she-s-gonna-be-around-for-a-long-time__24766/
She's in the studio with Andrew Wyatt, Greg Kurstin and Sarah Hudson.
Dua was interviewed by Variety, where she mentioned that this is going to be a conceptual album and she already has the title.
From https://variety.com/2018/music/features/singer-dua-lipa-1203037107/:
There's a rumour that Dua is going to collaborate with Rosalía after this information appeared on Folha de S.Paulo, which is a Brazilian newspaper.
From https://www1.folha.uol.com.br/ilustrada/2018/12/rosalia-atualiza-o-flamenco-para-as-pistas-e-ambiciona-o-trono-do-pop-nos-eua.shtml: (translated from Portuguese)
I imagine we could get this album in late 2019 given the re release of the debut album this year.
She’s really working HARD though. Promo promo promo and it’s paid off.
Interested to see where she goes for album 2 and what the style is but I have no doubt she will smash hard!
The UK streaming queen.
I'm not sure if this is intended for DL2 or TL4, but Dua Lipa, Tove Lo and Calvin Harris were in the studio together with Dayyon Alexander, which was shown by the latter on Instagram stories.
I am so here for another DL and CH collab. Please!
AGHHHHHHH TOVE!!
Maybe it's for Calvin's project?
She said at the GRAMMY backstage speech that her new album is 'almost done' and there might be collaborations on it.
Looks like she's in the studio with Calvin today, she just posted one of his quote cards on her knee in the studio on her Instagram story...
She confirmed to ITV News that she worked with Mark Ronson and Calvin Harris (in two tracks!). She hasn't listened to them because she's waiting Adam to send them to her, although maybe she already listened to those songs if it's considered that both of them were in the studio together?
That's not a flattering screengrab lmao
I hope this album shows off her potential to me. Coz I feel like her songs either really make an impression or barely make any at all and I am yet to personally see the "star quality" that makes her as popular as she is
I HATE missing out ughhhh. But.. yeah. I love her as a personality though. She's so likeable!
It needs to jump back IN then x
Jonjo confirmed as a hater
She's busy writing songs in LA.
I reckon we’ll get something at the end of Summer! Excited.
Shame the Ari collab was scrapped
👀
Is New Rules her only big hit in the US? I wonder if she’ll get another.
She has been in the studio with Nile Rodgers.
She's the cover girl of Elle US for the May issue.
She has been in the studio with Pharrell Williams.
Nooo
In regards of her self-titled debut album to be released two years ago, she tweeted the following.
I assume we could get a lead soon? Next couple of months?
Hoping for an August release for the lead with the album in Q4!
She revealed that she's still in the process of her second album, as well as the album title is the theme on Twitter.
👀
By "lots of treats" does she mean 7 singles before the album again?
Tove Lo confirmed to POPline, a Brazilian music site, that this is for Dua's upcoming album.
Interesting! Will it be an official Calvin collab then or is he just going to be credited as producer?
I don't think that there's an official information about the credits yet, but I assume that Calvin will be only credited as a producer. I mean, I even don't know if Tove Lo is going to be credited as a featured artist too because the article implies that they have worked together in a couple of songs.
👀
Coming soon.
She's been in the studio with Sarah Hudson, Danja (!!!) and Theron Thomas.
Six days in the studio with Danja and Sarah Hudson.
She has been with Caroline Ailin, Emily Warren and Ian Kirkpatrick (the team behind "New Rules"). Also, she posted on Instagram stories that she was going through mixes with Stephen 'KOZ' Kozmeniuk.
I really hope this comes in Q1 now.
I was hoping we'd get some Max Martin work from her.
Some days ago, she was in the studio with Scott Harris Friedman (who is known for working with Shawn Mendes) and Sylvester "Sly" Sivertsen, as well as another guy who I forgot his name. Anyway, she was spotted again with Caroline Ailin and Ian Kirkpatrick, as well as Julia Michaels.
I also assume it's the single they are talking about, but Vogue did that question (re: "We are, I believe, a matter of weeks before you release your second album."), so I'm a little confused too.
The album could do well as a Q4 release tbh.
She’s the UKs biggest female on streaming sites and I think she’d get a big opening.
But at the same time launching in the new year could also work well for her and she’d probably have a better chance at #1 that way.
I can’t see Dua having the second album saga what Zara’s having at the moment.
She has already recorded 'fifty or sixty' songs for the album and they are going to take her in a new disco-heavy direction.
Dua is doing a gig and will be interviewed by Amanda Petrusich in the New Yorker festival on October 11.
Her interview to The Face was unveiled and you could check it https://theface.com/music/dua-lipa-pop-music-interview-volume-4-issue-001 or in the link of the tweet below.
She confirmed to E! News that the album will be out next year and new music will be out this year. Also, she said that they are finalizing stuff up this month.
A new single from her is rumoured to be released in November, while the album is slated to be out sometime in Q2 (for now).
Hyped! Will be really interesting to see how she does in her second era and how she starts it off.
Very excited for this, hope it can be successful for her!
Teasers have begun.
Loving the return to blonde!
I'm so worried she's going to flop I hope she can break the curse of the pop females flopping!
I can’t see Dua flopping in the UK.
I’m optimistic that her streaming will be great.
Album wise I can see her getting a #1 debut as well with it being 2020 release.
I don’t know if she’ll have a hit like New Rules or One Kiss. But she’s definitely not gonna go the way Duffy and Jessie J did with their second albums. I think she’ll have an opening on a similar level to Arianas sweetener/ thank u, next in the UK.
In the US / WW it’s harder to predict. But Adele aside I think she’s the biggest female in music from UK in the UK. She’s huge on streaming, likely to have features with other successful artists and is able to produce strong visuals too.
I could be being a bit optimistic but her team will do a great job with this I hope / think.
The US will be difficult for her. New Rules was only eventually picked up on US radio because it was a big hit even literally every single other country.
Her website has been updated with a 'coming soon' text.
I'm waiting for the following information to be confirmed or denied, but everything points out that Chameleon is the title of her second album (for now) after some rumours about that began when she was interviewed to The Face magazine last month.
LOVE that as a title. Suggests the album might be quite eclectic. Might have preferred “Disco Lipa” as a title tho
She will be on Graham Norton next week.
Like that title!
Thinking she may debut at #1 in singles too.
Omg Michela is shook
Future Nostalgia seems pretty much confirmed at this point, so... I'm changing the title of this thread. I don't know why and I assume it's going to be a minority opinion, but I prefer Chameleon to be honest.
Yeah I'm not feeling this new title either!
I really like that as an album name. Definitely prefer it to Chameleon.
It’s quite playful tbh because they’re obviously two different things.
Quite like the title but I did like Chameleon too.
Dua revealed that the stuff she did with Nile Rodgers didn't make the cut at the MTV EMA.
On Big Top 40 just now she’s said that the title track (along with confirmation of the album name) will be released with a video later this month/early December but it won’t be a single.
Well this is now officially my most anticipated album release.
I'm wondering what it could be.
I like the name
Do we think her second collab with Mark Ronson and Diplo could be for this album? Or a song of theirs?
Dua has hinted at some new collaborations on her sophomore album, as well as of her dream collaborations.
Officially announced by her.
She replied on Instagram that the album cover will be revealed next year, but the tour dates are coming.
The title track will be out on December 13.
New details about the album.
• Future Nostalgia is slated to be released in April, which makes sense because her tour begins later that month in Madrid, Spain (April 26). I haven't checked any possible competition yet, but I assume that the release date of the album could be either April 10 or April 17. It also sort of confirms the initial information about the Q2 release posted http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=223562&view=findpost&p=6341113 back in September.
• The second single of the album will be out in January. It's been said by a reliable source that the title of the song begins with the letter 'p' and it's only a word, which points out to be "Physical".
• A new song of the album was registered on GEMA and it's called "Break My Heart". The track samples "Need You Tonight" by INXS.
This song always reminds me of King's Love & Pride - both fantastic tunes!
I've never paid much attention to Dua, but these two songs released from FN have got me extremely hyped for this album.
A rumoured collab with FRANK OCEAN now circulating imagine
FYI, there's a fanmade tracklist circulating, which includes a Frank Ocean collaboration.
Has anyone listened to this? My God I'm ready.
"Physical" and album announcement this weekend.
This is the most hyped I’ve been for an album in years
Finally! Be nice to know when the new music is gonna be here.
Dua posted the following on Instagram stories.
If Dua is holding back the album cover until there's a pre-order link, it basically confirms that "Physical" will be released as an instant grat. I doubt that the track will be out as a standalone release this week and it should be released next week. As a side note, she said that she has other news coming this week on Instagram stories, so it makes me think this is tour related.
The other news is hopefully that she’s performing at the BRIT Awards.
Ooooh, so 3rd April is the confirmed date for the album?
It looks awesome!
omg the album artwork. I'm shook. she's slaying my fave artwork in a long Long time!
+ supposed tracklist:
TRACKLIST
1. Future Nostalgia
2. Don’t Start Now
3. Cool
4. Physical
5. Levitating
6. Pretty Please
7. Hallucinate
8. Love Again
9. Break My Heart
10. Good in Bed
11. Boys Will Be Boys
No collabs?
The artwork is incredible
I don’t know what I was expecting but that album cover is stunning!!
April 3 release date confirmed on her social media’s as well.
Excited for this follow up! She’s definitely NOT having a second album curse I think she’s gonna potentially have an even bigger follow up!
I also have a feeling this could break streaming records for a female album in week one here? Or at least do similar to what thank u, next did.
supposedly no ballads on the album as well! This is just gonna serve non-stop bops and I'M READY. I need this album asap <3
Need that pre-order link now sis the VINYLS look gorge
The album cover!!!
FYI, that tracklist is true (there will be only 11 tracks) and it's going to be a solo album. "If It Ain't Me", her collaboration with Normani, was scrapped at the last minute, probably because of the 15-second leak.
Really refreshing there aren't any features! It's so rare in this day and age.
Im also really happy at no features too!
And with the album being slightly short too it means it’ll just be non stop anthems too (no skips).
Break My Heart (supposedly the 3rd single) and the scrapped Normani track have leaked in full.
Hopefully nothing more leaks
That artwork is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! Everything is going so right this era
More seems to be leaking
I'm mad 'If It Ain't Me' hasn't made it, that sh** za bop.
I'm really looking forward to this now! 'Don't Start Now' and 'Physical' are gems and the title track was a grower.
Oh the pre-orders are available!
going to order the vinyl version then, looking classy!
*cough*loon
SG Lewis confirmed that he wrote and produced "Hallucinate", alongside Dua Lipa, Frances and Stuart Price (!). The latter is responsible of Confessions on a Dance Floor by Madonna and Aphrodite by Kylie Minogue. Oh! Sam and Dua finally worked in a track together.
Pre-ordered the pink vinyl!
The more I think about it, the more impressed I am that there’s no features ... I’d have assumed it would be an album full of them !
Happy about the no features too. Miss those days of albums with no features or just the one.
The last POP album I bought that had no features was Kelly Clarksons’ Meaning of Life I believe.
I’m another one who’s really happy at it being a no features album!
She had a few high profile collaborations on her debut album anyways so she doesn’t need other artists at this point in her career it’s about what she can do on her own.
She has a song with Normani that’s leaked called ‘If it Ain’t Me’ that apparently didn’t make the album I’ve heard it and it’s such a BOP I’m annoyed it didn’t make the album !
Dua was interviewed by MTV News, where she discussed about her upcoming album Future Nostalgia and it was revealed that Tove Lo and Julia Michaels have songwriting credits in the album.
Dua describes each song from Future Nostalgia.
Dua hinted a second wind for the album, which may include "If It Ain't Me", the collaboration with Normani.
I reckon a third single will happen after the album. Then maybe the Normani collab as a fourth single and some other collabs before a re-release.
That's right. I assume that "Break My Heart", which is expected to be the third single, will be properly pushed during the album's release, likely a week before as well. As a consequence, I guess there won't be another single from the album because "If It Ain't Me" will kick off the second wind of the album around July or August.
She's shooting 'something very fun' with Bardia Zeinali.
A member on ATRL has written about the tracks:
Cool - another bop with surely striking production as the chorus comes, but it feels more breezy, maybe with a little nostalgic touch. Works great as a moment to catch a breath after DSN and before Physical. "Got me losing all my cool, cause I'm burning up for you"
Levitating - this is the track Nile previewed formerly known Starlight, as you can imagine it's a sweet, disco leaning, uplifting banger with lots of space references, definitely one of my favorites. Dua is singing quite fast is this one, there is also some heavy vocal layering especially in the nearly acapella bridge (flawless moment right before the strike of the final chorus). "I got you, moonlight, you're my, starlight, I need you, all night, come on dance with me! I'm levitating!"
Pretty Please - probably my most unexpected moment of the record, if I had to choose one indie-baiting song on FN it would be this one. From the beginning it's rather minimalistic with just bare bassline and Dua's high, though sometimes nearly whispery, vocals, but as the song goes we witness a fantastic build up featuring lots of production tweaks, crystalish synthy swirls, random cow bell sounds, the more you listen the more details you hear. Felt sorta fillerish on first listen, but now I can't imagine the album without it. "Put my mind at ease, pretty please, I need your hands on me, sweet relief, pretty, please".
Hallucinate - if Physical was to have a sister track on the record it would absolutely be this one. Massive, upbeat pop perfection I already see as an absolute fan fave. Those who love Ava Max can expect a mixture of Torn and Sweet But Psycho at once from it, but totally elevated. Lyrically it gets really close to Levitating, I actually always seen this one as a stronger single contender than Physical. The hook is so catchy, you're not ready!
Love Again - the most straight up disco influenced track, starts off with a cinematic intro full of beautiful strings, but just a moment later it completely switches to kicks-filled upbeat instrumentation that just grows on till the very end where we come back to intro-like ending. It reminds me of Gaga's I Want Your Love so once again I'm surprised Nile Rodgers did not touch its production. Another one of my highlights as if there weren't enough already.
Break My Heart - masterpiece I originally wanted to be the lead single, so glad it's getting a single treatment and hopefully it will get heavily pushed as it's absolute perfection and I can't imagine GP sleeping on it.
Good in Bed - piano/bass driven mid tempo, a bit Doo-wop inspired but with some hip-hop influences I would say? Lyrics are the most interesting part as we finally step off the streak of love/infatuation glorifying bops. It was my least favorite track at some point, but rapidly grew on me due to its insane catchiness. The bridge features Dua's juicy: "Yeah we don't know how to talk, but damn we know how to ****". Might be a polarizing track.
Boys Will Be Boys - as the title suggests the song is a feminist statement, it's really well written so I don't want to spoil anything, but the bridge, partially sung by a bunch of kids which is an interesting touch, follows: "If you're offended by this song, you're clearly doing something wrong", very telling. Production wise it's a grand closer reminiscent of Selena's Lose You To Love Me, but far more orchestral.
So the last track is a ballad after all?
That review has me very excited indeed! I don't know if I've been this excited about a pop album since E•MO•TION.
I think the production of "Boys Will Be Boys" will be similar to the Live In LA remix of "Don't Start Now". I mean, I doubt there's a ballad in the album, despite this description seems to be like that.
Either way, I'm excited about the album too, especially for "Hallucinate" because of SG Lewis's input.
The Japanese edition of the album is going to have three bonus tracks, but all of them are remixes.
12. "Don't Start Now" (Live In LA Remix)
13. "Don't Start Now" (Purple Disco Machine Remix)
14. "Physical" (Leo Zero Disco Remix)
The Leo Zero Disco remix of "Physical" hasn't been released yet, so I assume this remix, alongside a remix package, will be released soon.
I’m really excited to hear this!
Two weeks to go
Second album is always a tricky one but I think she’s gonna pull through and not fall foul of the second album curse. #1 debut coming here in the UK and I imagine she’ll have a good debut world wide too.
The back cover was revealed by Juno Records.
The entire albums leaked
Kinda need the link but can’t find it anywhere!
Give her AOTY at the Grammys as well as at the Brits please
Push forward to next week tbh
Not gonna look for the link it’s only 12 more days anyway
Surely the album won’t be delayed now at least
Yeah I'm going to hold out until it's properly released as well. So excited!
ugh I hate when albums leak so early before release date.
Now I need to kill my urge of searching and listening to it!!!
Dua will be doing an Instagram live tomorrow at 2pm. GMT. and she's going to talk about the album and the tour, as well as she will do a Q&A too.
I am expecting the tour to be postponed.
It's due to start the end of next month which I don't see it happening to be honest.
Major Madonna vibes from that back cover art
I wanna hold out, but it's gonna be tough. Especially now I'll be stuck at home all the time.
What are we thinking though for those who have? Is it out of this world?
This is me during "Hallucinate".
It's very 80's Madonna, very pop, everything flows very well between track 1-9
All tracks are in the same vibe as Physical I'd say, which is great
then track 10 and 11 are the worst and a big wtf, track 10 is like a Lilly Allen semi-spoken track
and track 11 is just weird and doesn't work
so I'll pretend it only has 9 tracks
Hallucinate is a that bitch
Personally I’d give the album-
10/10- Future Nostalgia
10/10- Don’t Start Now
10/10- Cool
11/10- Physical
10/10- Levitating
8/10- Pretty Please
11/10- Hallucinate
10/10- Love Again
10/10- Break My Heart
9/10- Good In Bed (although definitely the sonic outlier)
7/10- Boys Will Be Boys
Album now out this Friday! Just confirmed on her insta live
I missed the beginning of the live but she seems really upset, not sure if its because of the virus or the leak
Yesss this coming Friday <3
Releasing it early won’t impact too much tbh.
Wondering if it’s download and streams for this Friday then the CD on 3rd?
Only other big release I can see s Skepta on Friday, so hopefully she will still be able to get the UK #1
Omg I’m so ready!!
Might even be a better idea to release this week sales wise regardless of the leak as we are likely getting closer and closer to lockdown, so this may be the last week for a while people are able to buy physical copies (not that I see many going out there way to buy a physical copy at this time anyway but it might still help)
FUCKING HOORAY!
I still think she has a chance to debut #1 in UK!!
Love Again has to be single
How did Skeptas last album do in week one?
Could be close and both will do more streams than sales.
I think she *could* just about pip him to the post. If she stayed with the 3rd that may have been a sure fire debut but I think it’ll have a strong chart run #1 or not.
I'm confident she has enough clout to beat Skepta, she's likely to also do very well on streams.
My friend who's listening to the leak keeps tantalising me over this, he seems to think 'Levitating' is the one. Ahhhh, I'm so glad it's now been brought forward as I'm not sure I could've held out that long.
'Cool' is Teenage Dream levels of good for me. My favourite on the album alongside 'Physical'.
This is absolutely and by far best pop album since Phoenix by Rita Ora.
Listened to the whole album the best song on there is the track cool
Cool is the best track
Ok I got weak and listened to two other tracks 'Cool' and 'Love Again'
Omg the sample on Love Again is amazing, I hope that gets a single treatment because I can totally see becoming another huge hit for her!!!
^ by the way this Skepta album is a joint project with Chip and Young Adz and was only very recently announced, so is unlikely to sell quite as much as his last solo album. he won't be big competition for Dua.
First review is out and it's from NME, which gave the album 5 stars.
Hopefully this will be her first number 1 album.
Dua discusses every track on the album:
^thanks, great read
I just order 3 cassettes oopsie and I don't have a cassette player lol
Dua will be doing a Q&A YouTube livestream tomorrow at 8am. PDT / 11am. EDT / 3pm. GMT and she will be talking to Miley Cyrus tonight at noon PDT / 3pm. EDT / 7pm. GMT.
wow there are 4 (singles) reasons to buy this album and I still haven't decide which version to purchase.... but its impossible not to have it in my collection
The YouTube livestream begins in less than an hour.
I’m so happy / proud of myself I haven’t listened to the leak.
Looking forward to giving this a full listen in just under 5 and a half hours
It has a 99 score with 7 reviews on Metacritic.
It won't remain that high with the upcoming reviews, but I need this iconic picture to be remembered forever and ever. <3
I havnt listened to the full album yet.. but Cool is already my favourite pop song of all time!
Aha! Slight exaggeration, but it’s truly incredible !
damn I am so ready for this finally!! holding off on the leak and this wait has been hell
Boys will be boys is such a wonderful message.
It’s been released an hour early on iTunes? It’s currently #3 and available to buy
oh Love Again samples "Your Woman" by White Town <3 <3 <3
Listening now! 'Hallucinate' is wow!
LOVE AGAIN
HALLUCINATE
HELP
HALLUCINATE OH MY JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hallucinate has taken my breath away. omg. a. SONG. a. MASTERPIECE. whew.
The 1-2-3 punch of 'Hallucinate', 'Love Again' and 'Break My Heart'! This is all so good, can't believe I'm nearly at the end of the album. I want MORE!
I honestly can't remember the last time I heard a song and instantly felt like I do with Hallucinate omg
Boys Will Be Boys is stunning omg

07 Break My Heart
07 Good In Bed
10 Boys Will Be Boys
Yes I used four 11’s x
now let me impatiently await the deluxe cos I need a HQ/officialy released version of If It Ain't Me ASAP!! (it'd be 4th in my album ranking here)
'Boys Will Be Boys' is fab closer, powerful statement within uplifiting music - just what makes pop so great.
I've returned straight to 'Hallucinate' - this HAS to be a single at some point! 'Break My Heart' does offer something slightly different so I think that was a great choice for third single (as well as being a fantastic song in its own right) and 'Hallucinate' has should have the power to keep the album afloat later down the line.
hallucinate is staying on repeat for ages and cool is already hitting me 100x more on 2nd listen. SHE. f***ING. DID. THAT.
The album is £10.99 on iTunes but downloading all tracks individually works out £10.49 in total or £10.89 if all tracks are 99p each
First listen through (bare in mind Dua's songs (except Physical) take a fair few listens to grow on me):
07.0 Future Nostalgia > Not heard this before now. I kinda like it... I think! <
08.5 Don't Stop Now
08.5 Cool > I think this is gonna grow over time. But for now, it's a BOP. <
11.0 Physical
09.0 Levitating > I've instantly taken to this! Major feelings of nostalgia with this (which is her aim with each track I believe) <
07.5 Pretty Please > This is cute. <
10.0 Hallucinate > FUUUUUCK. THIS IS AMAZE. Wow <
07.0 Love Again > Doesn't sound like a single to me? I hope they change their minds on the 4th single. It's cute though. <
08.5 Break My Heart > It's growing, like I thought it would. But still not completely crazy about it rn <
04.5 Good In Bed > Erm. Why is this on this album? Not only is it just a bad song, it just doesn't fit in with anything else on the album atm? Bizarre choice. <
08.0 Boys Will Be Boys > The chorus is infectious! Will definitely grow on me but I do still really like it <3 <
Such a brilliant album. You can tell this is gonna change the sound of pop. I'm blown away. I was so annoyed when BWB finished it started playing Hotter Than Hell as I was annoyed it was over! LMAO.

I think I'm in love with this album already ik overreaction much but I can't help it
Wow wow wow!!!
My first listen as a whole and I am floored at how strong this is!
I’ve been harsh on the title track but now I’ve heard the rest of the album I get that now. A really solid listen. From tracks 2-11 I was like wow this is really strong. One of those rare albums where every track could be a single.
Serve after serve. Perfect. You know an albums good when you want more. She got the length spot on and focused on quality over quantity here
Hallucinate HAS to be a single at some point though. It’s like something Kelis would’ve done on Flesh Tone.
This is going to be amongst the most universally loved albums on this site I can just tell
You got me losing all my cool...why is this hitting me so hard on a 2nd listen lol!!!
"Hallucinate" samples Daft Punk's Revolution 909? It has identical beginning. It also reminds me of one of 00s tracks, but I don't remember which now.

That top 8 and still even the worst song is still 7/10 lol.
Cool and Love Again are becoming SO much better with every listen <3 cool is top 5 on the album for me now!
Listening now
I don’t know if it has ever happened before but the album has been chosen as Radio 1’s Tune of the Weekend so different tracks will be heard
Best New Pop is now up on BBC Sounds and was a special with Dua talking about the album
Interview on Radio 2 right now!
Strong album, great pop music. "New Rules" was a game-changer for Dua Lipa as a music artist, this album has just taken it even further.
More artists should learn from Dua Lipa, it's quality not quantity when you make albums.
Love Again somehow sounds even better omfg
I could SO hear a Doja Cat feature on 'Levitate', ya know, if for whatever reason they want a big budget 4th/5th single.
Hallucinate and Cool should have priority if they consider other singles.
Pretty Please, Good In Bed, and Boys Will Be Boys scream filler to me, but they could grow.
Highlights are Cool, love Again
I really hope that with future singles from this she sticks to the no features route. The tracks are perfect and they don’t need it!
She’s had so many big hits with other artists before this is now her time to prove she can do it on her own too. I think she’s gonna have a similar story to Ariana now this is gonna just cusp her already big star power to be even bigger
This album is the best pop album I've heard in a long long time, every song could be a hit. Excellent work from Dua Lipa.
I couldn't miss out on seeing this live so I've booked 4 tickets for me and some friends to go and see her on her tour in January - very excited!
Lovely little album! I'm gonna spend the whole day immersing myself in this.
The only one I can't bear is 'Good In Bed', just grating.
I didn't realise this was out today - definitely going to take a listen as I fancy something poppy and uplifting today
Is the CD of this also out today does anyone know?
I pre ordered it a while ago and I’m desperate to go out for my one bit excercise of the day but don’t want to miss the post incase it comes
Love Again!
I don't usually like samples of my favourite songs but this just works *.*
7.5 review on Pitchfork
https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/dua-lipa-future-nostalgia/
I mean that's basically a 10 considering Pitchfork's disdain for pop music.
Initial listen...
03 Future Nostalgia - This has me worried as an opener as I think this is a complete mess. She shouldn't do spoken parts on tracks as it just doesn't work for me at all. The chorus is okay but everything else is just a definite no.
09 Don't Start Now - I know this has been out for ages but it's only just really clicking with me after spending ages thinking it was merely okay.
07 Cool - could be a grower, I like the production but it hasn't totally grabbed me on first listen
10 Physical - Definitely one of the best pop singles this year
07 Levitating - Quite nice, a keeper but not totally standout.
03 Pretty Please - was kinda bored and didn't really feel the production, filler.
09 Hallucinate - Now this is instant love! Sort of reminds me of Kylie in a good way
09 Love Again - The sample is absolutely spot on, the strings in general are great. Really catchy too
09 Break My Heart - First time hearing this and it's pretty catchy, lol at the stay at home bit being so relevant *.*
01 What a way to ruin a great second half... cringe beyond belief.
08 Boys Will Be Boys - Really nice closer and it's nice to have something with a bit more meaning behind the lyrics too. It's over way too quickly though! Could have gone on for at least another minute
Summary - really pretty good, there's definitely way more keepers here than I was expecting
I've seen quite a few comments saying 'Hallucinate' reminds people of Fever-era Kylie. I'm not really picking up on it but I'd die if Kylie came back with something like this. *.*
Idk if it’s just me but Hallucinate to me sounds like Flesh Tone era Kelis more than it does Kylie.
That’s my favourite non single on first listens though.
I’ll just say as well. None of her debut albums non singles sound like anything on this. I love that she’s went in a new direction.
I can’t wait for my “physical” copy of the album to arrive.

Cool is my favourite new discovery
Can Ava listen to Boys Will Be Boys for how to deal with feminism in 2020 please ~
A album!
OMG what a masterpiece! It's somehow even better than I expected, literally like 9 of the songs would've made great singles
I'll listen again before I do a ranking/rating but overall I am very impressed - one of the best sophomore albums in a long, long time
I am actually like... trying to calm myself down to even rationalise thoughts on how I feel about this album? I honestly don't think I've felt like this since Teenage Dream and that is no lie.
I was just on such a high from Track 1 to Track 11, it barely even let me breathe, and I'm so not mad about it. Like, nearly every song could be a single?! I am not even one slight bit disappointed.
I can't remember the last time I felt that type of real joy and happiness listening to an album. Partly because of how great it is and partly because of how proud I am of Dua. How she managed to make 11 such great songs and no skips at all is incredible
Really hope the album gets the success and recognition it deserves
Pretty decent, one of the best pop albums I've listened to lately.
It's a shame to see all the dislike for 'Good In Bed'! It's one of my favourites on it, reminds me of Lily Allen a bit.
Good in Bed really does let the otherwise sublime album down a bit. The chorus sounds out of tune?
I can't stop listening to 'Cool' help.
That's a good comparison Rob...I think the last album that I could listen from start to finish it was indeed Teenage Dreams!!!
The only dud for me so far is Good In Bed...I don't hate it but somehow I feel like it doesn't really belong to this album...it does have the sound of first album!!!
I really like Good In Bed, not the best of the album but maybe top half? I like the cheekiness of it and think the kinda off chorus adds to the charm of the song
Apart from the singles I really enjoyed 'Cool', 'Hallucinate' and 'Love Again' - the sample is spot on! The weakest track is definitely 'Good in Bed' and I'm not keen on 'Levitating', 'Break My Heart' and 'Pretty Please' (which is actually great until the bridge which ruins the song for me ).
Overall, it's a great album!
I can't cope with this album! Literally there's not a single dud or skippable track on it. They are all earworms with layers upon layers.

I think my ranking of Cool may be unpopular but maybe it's a grower. This is already my favourite album since Starboy!
Holy trinity:
Physical
Hallucinate
Levitating
I kinda wish Dua did a Lemonade-type video album for this record. The whole album screams for visual treatment.
I think I would rank (for just now)
1) Physical
2) Break My Heart
3) Levitating
4) Don't Start Now
5) Love Again
6) Good In Bed
7) Hallucinate
8) Future Nostalgia
9) Cool
10) Boys Will Be Boys
11) Pretty Please
wow at Pitchfork giving it 7.5 score...
It's a pure pop album entirely performed by a female artist so 7.5 is pretty much as good as it was gonna get there

I think it's doing great, no?!
Hallucinate is something that Madonna could have released as a lead single from COADF, for real!
OK, I have listened most of tracks from this LP..... despite the fact it's marvelous record, nothing can top LA Live version of DSN - it's the most enjoyable moment in pop music since Taylor Swift performance of Style on Victoria's Secret Show
I really hope this goes to #1
Skepta is ahead on Apple Music albums and on singles too he has more tracks on top 40 than what Dua currently has.
I assumed Dua would easily get a #1 with this album but this forum is making me nervous. It would be a shame if she didn't considering the hype and reception - it may also deter other artists from releasing during this crisis. I might have to buy this on iTunes despite never using it anymore just to give her an extra sale. She deserves a #1 with this pop masterpiece.
We will find out on Monday I guess.
I am just hoping her pre-orders were enough to give her comfortable lead!!!
I've pretty much done nothing but play this album all day to be honest, but at the moment I'm sitting with:
1 Physical (11)
2 Don't Start Now (10)
3 Hallucinate (10)
4 Cool (9.5)
5 Break My Heart (9)
6 Levitating (9)
7 Future Nostalgia (8)
8 Boys Will Be Boys (7.5)
9 Love Again (7)
10 Good In Bed (7)
11 Pretty Please (6)
08 Future Nostalgia - Found this really grating all of those months ago, Dua's talk-singing works so much better in small doses (e.g. on 'Physical') but I got used to all of that and quite enjoy this as a whole package now, especially the fabulous chorus. It works well as an opening track.
10 Don't Start Now - Starting to tire of this now as it's been hanging around in the chart FOREVER, but that aside, what a strong and smart start to the era this was
7.5 Cool - This is solid enough but definitely finding it a bit overrated already on the interwebs
11 Physical - Masterpiece, song of the year, wig has been missing for 2 months now etc.
09 Levitating - What kind of 1-2 punch is 'Physical' and this?! *.* continued funky euphoria and the lyrical imagery is gorgeous. Giving me strong Bruno Mars '24k Magic' era vibes! Also the middle 8 is really reminding me of the bridge of Cher Lloyd's 'Want U Back' lmao, sass queens
07 Pretty Please - This is sounding pretty fillery after that relentless back-to-back but it's cute
9.5 Hallucinate - Okay stan mode is activated once again - Dua is really out there living her 00s pop girl fantasy! Definitely getting the Kylie 'Fever' comparisons <3
8.5 Love Again - 'Your Woman' is one of my favourite songs of its respective year so I was dubious about it being sampled but this is done really tastefully! Those strings are beaut, she's really pulling me in with every sign of a synth or string here
10 Break My Heart - She has got it SO right with these single choices! Another tastefully done sample and the bridge is so lush. "I should have stayed at home" tho
04 Good In Bed - I'm... still processing this one! Right now the chorus is jarring and it feels super out of place on the album, hmm, I guess this is her quirky moment on the record but it falls a bit flat for me, what kind of basic chorus. Maybe I need more time to get it idk
05 Boys Will Be Boys - Alright, feels quite fillery despite such bold subject matter
Lemme replace the last two with 'One Kiss' and 'Electricity' and then I'll be majorly satisfied from beginning to end. A general triumph of an era!
After a few listens I’d probably rank the album as
1. Don’t Start Now 11/10
2. Physical 10/10
3. Hallucinate 10/10
4. Cool 9.5/10
5. Levitating 9/10
6. Break My Heart 8.5/10
7. Boys Will Be Boys 8.5/10
8. Good In Bed 8/10
9. Love Again 7/10
10. Pretty Please 6/10
11. Future Nostalgia 4/10
The top 3 order could change. Like Physical is growing so much and Hallucinate hit me really fast.
Don’t Start Now is still just ahead but I’m here for it to move out the charts now. It’s had its time and for a while it prevented Physicla
from really taking off so I don’t want this to hinder Break Your Heart.
Break My Heart easily has the best video of the era but for me I think there were better choices to be the third single. BUT every track could be a single tbh. It is really strong. The title track is the only one I’d probably choose not to listen to on its own. If I heard anything else on shuffle though I wouldn’t skip.
Pretty Please I wouldn’t even call filler. I think she needed something on the album that was more chill / mellow but it’s not like a wow moment like most of the album is.
Quick album rank on first listen ~
1 Physical 9.5/10 (think this probably ranks as my 2nd fave song from her discog overall, 'Be The One' is untouched but this narrowly pips 'New Rules' methinks)
2 Don't Start Now 9/10
3 Levitating 8.5-9/10 (I need to listen to this a bit more to decide but I can see it overtaking DSN for me, it was my easy highlight of the album tracks on first listen <3 super funky ~)
4 Love Again 8/10 (great use of the 'Your Woman' sample)
5 Hallucinate 8/10
6 Break My Heart 8/10 (there's nothing in it between 4th and 6th here so this could defo jump to 4th as I hear it more what with it being a single - this album listen was actually my first time hearing it, I do need to check out the video as well x)
7 Future Nostalgia 7.5/10 (it's not by any means the best song on here but I think it's an absolutely perfect choice of opening track)
8 Pretty Please 7/10 (iss cute, not a standout but a nice album track)
~
9 Boys Will Be Boys 5.5/10 (one of a couple of songs on here that is ruined by some, er, not very pleasant to listen to yelpy vocals - that aside it's a nice song, I like the production and the message, just not one that I find myself wanting to go back to)
10 Good In Bed 5/10 (cringeworthy F-bomb at the end drops it a whole point. the rest of the song is a bit silly and basic but generally inoffensive)
11 Cool 4/10 (and that score feels a bit generous and I oop! the song itself is... fine I guess, though still not one of the stronger ones, what puts me off is the vocals again which really get a bit unbearable and kind of uncomfortably close to Jessie J esque? I don't get where these yelps have come from as I don't think she's sounded like this on any of her previous songs or indeed on 9 out of 11 songs on this album lol)
Issa v good album (especially for a pop album, I don't really often find myself enticed to listen to pop albums in full but the 2 singles from this are both among the best pop songs of the last year and I liked the title track too so I had to this time). Nothing comes close to 'Physical' but I didn't expect it to, I'm happy there's at least one album track there that rivals the quality of 'Don't Start Now'.
Cool is such a guilty pleasure
After first listen.

05 Boys Will Be Boys
'Good in Bed' feels like an outlier sonically, and a disappointment. 'Boys Will Be Boys' is nice in theory, but too on the nose and feels at odds with the album. The other 9 tracks are all varying degrees of fantastic.
What I find most impressive — other than the incredible consistent visuals, the album rollout, and so on — is how she completely avoided a sophomore slump as well as separate herself the crowd. She clearly had a vision, a point-of-view, and didn't bother with low food-chain algorithm pop. All without a feature in sight? It would have been such an easy mistake to make — look at most female popstars in the UK right now.
It's genuinely heart-warming seeing her getting the hits and deserved acclaim. I want videos for most of these songs immediately.
I’m so obsessed with this album! It’s incredible!
If Future ‘Nostalgia’ and ‘Good In Bed’ weren't included on the tracklist, it would be a perfect album
That hot pink looks gorgeous! I love the album cover too. I'll definitely be purchasing, I was inclined to do it immediately after my first listen but I'm going to wait until we go back to normality given the predicted delivery date being listed as late April.
Finally got around to listening to this album and the first half wasn't doing anything for me but I think the album really found its rhythm with Levitating. After that I really enjoyed pretty much every track. Really good album overall!
29.1 million on Spotify on its first day. For 11 tracks and no features that's really good
I listened for the first time at midnight on Friday and didn't really think much of it, but now I'm thinking I must have been super tired. Second listen and this is incredible
1. Cool
2. Physical
3. Don't Start Now
4. Hallucinate
5. Break My Heart

10. Future Nostalgia
11. Good in Bed
Really good streaming numbers on Spotify in the UK and WW, all the songs top 50 apart from the last 2 on the album. 3 songs top 5 in the UK
I'd imagine she'd have smaller drops than the other album bombs as well so the songs might hold up decently
Awesome result tbh
I am stanning for Don't Start Now getting new peak in WW Spotify 5 months after release
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA2gTFPTZDQ
Have a look at my reaction video. It includes some dodgy dancing at the 9-minute mark lol
I knew there was a reason why I love Sam's stuff. I'm in heaven right now.
This album is somehow even better after a second day of listening. Surely I can't enjoy anymore tomorrow than I do now
Pretty Please is a GROWER
Insane omg
Is that enough to topple the Weeknd? The posts I’m seeing where people expecting a #2 debut over there
FYI, the album isn't doing between 250-300k in the US. I also thought that, but the 'in activity to date' part is the key here.
HITS (or HDD) article says that "Don't Start Now" notched over 200m streams pre-release, so this means that part of these streams are going to be considered for the album, which seems to be around 50-100k actually. That said, HITS also revealed their first forecast and Dua isn't considered because she and PARTYNEXTDOOR don't have bundles, while 5SOS and Pearl Jam have and the estimates of them are around 80k.
Later today or tomorrow at the very least, it's expected to be an article from HITS with the estimate figures in the US.
5SOS are apparently #1 so far in the UK midweeks with Dua at #2.
I can accept Don't Start Now narrowly missing the #1 in the UK and US but not the album.
It is possible for Dua to overtake 5SOS despite them starting with double her sales. Remember that Sunday mids will have barely any Saturday streaming data, a format that Dua will have a much bigger advantage on over 5SOS. They will very frontloaded, especially with it not being easy to purchase physicals throughout the week.
I’m shook at that midweek info.
I really thought Skepta was gonna be the competition.
have anybody bough on her websie with the signed card, are they shipped yet??

Good In Bed: +1,194,980
Boys Will Be Boys: +1,067,773
TOTAL: +24,371,942
I expected bigger drop to be honest but this is amazing <3
And yes please we need UK #1.
I didn't even know 5SOS were going to release this week. If tomorrow update shows her at 15k+ and 5SOS at 20k then I think she'll be able to catch them
If Dua has a fighting chance of overtaking 5SOS I will download the album and I don't even use iTunes anymore.
To be fair Dua is still #1 on iTunes album chart whilst 5SOS are about to drop out the Top 20. Tomorrow will show an even clearer picture but I do think Dua will manage to overtake.
I’ve been listening to this album all weekend and it keeps getting better. I find myself excited for each sing, even Good in Bed and Boys will be Boys have both grown on me a lot.
'Pretty Please' has really opened up with more listens — the way the production builds up throughout the song. One of my favourites now.
I am actually loving it every song now.
Even Good In Bed which was doing nothing really when I first heard it, now I am like jamming to it.
The biggest grower for me has to Future Nostalgia...those lyrics are genius!!!
Love 'Cool' so much.
Took a couple of listens but finally compiled a ranking:
Don't Start Now
Love Again
Levitating
Boys Will Be Boys
Pretty Please
Physical
Break My Heart
Hallucinate
Future Nostalgia
Cool
Good In Bed
Hope Levitating becomes a single at some point, seems to be doing to the best on Spotify out of the non-singles .
I actually quite like 'Good in Bed', there's something quite Lily Allen about it, but it does feel like it's on the wrong album. There's no funk or synth or disco to be heard, nothing to link it with the other songs. It would work better on her first album.
I guess it does help to drop the pace for 'Boys Will Be Boys' though, going from 'Break My Heart' into that would be incredibly jarring. I'd probably swap 'Love Again' and 'Break My Heart' around and remove 'Good in Bed' so that the closing strings on 'Love Again' lead into the opening strings of 'Boys Will Be Boys'. That flows much better.
The melody of "It's second nature to walk home before the sun goes down" on 'Boys Will Be Boys' reminds me so much of something else. I think it's a Britney song but I can't work out which one.
I love how she delivers those little "love again" belts in the final 40 seconds of the song. The whole song gets better with each listen.
1 5 Seconds of Summer - CALM (19.2k) *
2 Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia (12.2k) *
Dua sold 2,969 yesterday and 5SOS sold 643. The #1 is hers.
I'm trying to figure out, but can't hear anything Britney related
I think I've worked it out and it's 'Amnesia' with the line "When I see you, I stutter / watch you slip away, like butterflies". The melody isn't quite the same as I had in my head but it's that descending tone with a slight inflection at the end. A total random observation but it was bugging me for ages!
Finally caved and got the £4.99 album
And signed card from her website.
'Cool' is the absolute one
HMV sales still aren’t in the updates either.
I’m feeling like Dua might be #1 next week if she isn’t this week where as 5SOS will probably not even be top 10 next.
She's doing Amazon Music Live
She just did Break My Heart and now she's doing Love Again <3 they both sound amazing in acoustic
Just ordered CD from her website for a fiver. Whatta bargain.
Original content as in new songs?!?!
The Weeknd just done this too
So i just listened to the whole thing twice today. I definitely agree that the last 2 songs don't belong on this album. Good in Bed is definitely not something I would ever want to listen to again. It's just so tasteless. It's like she ran out of ideas for a song?? Also as much as I like the message of BWBB, it goes against the whole vibe and stands out. But the actual song isn't as strong to warrant that inclusion to me.
The 1-9 section is fabulous though. And most of you will probable be glad to hear that DSN FINALLY clicked with me. Talk about 5 months late to the party~
However, nothing will even come close to the perfection that is Physical.
Just ordered the CD with a signed picture for £4.99 on her website!
Hopefully helps her out towards gaining on 5SOS!
I wanted to order as well but shipping to US comes more expensive than the whole CD itself lol.
I'll just stick to cassettes for now <3
If you love Dua Lipa and Britney Spears, have a listen to my mashup of Hallucinate x Do You Wanna Come Over. https://youtu.be/hxkBrMSCALw thanks!
I’m thinking we will get new songs later in the year (like maybe October time or smth) to coincide with a full re release.
I’ve tried not to listen to this today as silly as it sounds I just really don’t wanna overplay this album
I’m a bit meh when I see comments praising 1-9 and disliking the last two tracks. I still don’t really like “Future Nostalgia” the song it’s definitely the weakest on this for me and Good in Bed has been the biggest grower.
Boys Will Be Boys is so good. I'm sad to see people cast it aside in the same manner as Good In Bed
Live from Amazon Music this morning
Love Again
Pretty Please
Break My Heart
Expected to debut with upwards of 50k first week units in the US.
This will peak a lot higher than her debut did I imagine although I’m guessing The Weeknd will likely still be #1
I mean, seeing that her debut album peaked at #27 in the US, she's DEFINITELY exceeding what many would do with a sophomore release.
That's correct. Her self-titled album debuted at #86 in the US with total sales around 15k, but it climbed and peaked at #27 in February of 2018.
Cool is everything
I don't hate the final 2 tracks, but I would say that they're the outliers of the album... I don't really see myself going back to either track often. The first 9 though Other clear highlights for me are Hallucinate and Levitating. Pretty Please is already proving to be a grower.
This album may have some of the best instrumentals I've ever heard
I hope she has closed the gap with 5sos when we get midweeks later.
my HMV order of this still hasn’t come has this happened to anyone else?
I only ordered the regular CD of it but it’s yet to appear.
Are you able to track the order?
Today's figures were posted in the chart forum. Dua is just under 3k behind 5SOS.
My order arrived literally 5 minutes after I posted that
So impatient!
If she’s 3K behind the number one looks like it’s hers! She’s went from 9K to 7K to 3K.
Guessing she was the biggest seller yesterday?
Great to see her close the gap, let's hope it continues.
Still got 8 songs in UK Spotify top 50
I am so happy to see that the gap shrank to only 3k <3
They are pushing everything they can during the first-week release.
I entered that contest - those prizes sound amazing *.* they're really going all out!
Tmrrw she maybe will overtake 5SOS
wish it wasn't only UK exclusive
The album is doing great numbers on Spotify too.
Levitating and Love Again have been playing in my head since the release, I hope both become singles but given Hallucinate's performance, that will probably be the next single.
Downloaded the album this weekend and finally listened to it properly in full today. I’m not a massive fan of a couple: Pretty Please and Good In Bed, they’re ok but not stand out for me.
I can see Hallucinate potentially being the 4th single (if there is one)
USA

Your Top 20
It's a tight race for #1. As of today, we're giving The Weeknd a slight edge. Can 5 Seconds of Summer unseat last week's champ? Stay tuned.
1. The Weeknd (XO/Republic) 85-90k, 9-12k
2. *5 Seconds of Summer (Interscope) 75-80k, 60-65k
3. Lil Uzi Vert (Generation Now/Atlantic) 75-80k, 1k
4. *Pearl Jam (Monkeywrench/Republic) 55-60k, 50-55k
5. *Dua Lipa (Warner) 55-60k, 15-18k
6. *PARTYNEXTDOOR (OVO/Warner) 50-55k, 3-4k
7. Lil Baby (Quality Control/Motown/Capitol) 50-55k, 1-2k
8. Bad Bunny (Rimas) 45-50k, <1k
9. Roddy Ricch (Bird Vision/Atlantic) 37-42k, <1k
10. Post Malone (Republic) 35-40k, 1k
It could debut between #4 and #7 in the US. Crossing fingers it can be inside the Top 5.
Cool is such a 12/10 bop
LMAO
I haven't stopped thinking about this album since Friday
The new sponges in my bathroom are blue and pink and my first thought was the colours on the album cover
Send help
That Jess Glynne video, christ.
Ah yes, Dua Lippa who sang that 80s song "Let's get physical... I wanna get physical"
That Jess Glynne video is almost like a wind-up to anyone interested in current pop music How is she so out of the bubble when she's one of the most generic/faceless/trend-chasing popstars there is??
Time to get #WTFisfuturenostalgia trending.
After listening to this non-stop since Friday, I think I've now carved out a solid top 8.
1. Don't Start Now
2. Physical
3. Cool
4. Hallucinate
5. Break My Heart
6. Levitating
7. Love Again
8. Pretty Please
Finally I've ordered my copy. The cheapest rate was GBP to zloty so my purchase will count in this week's chart I suppose.
An outfit of hers would be a nice prize.
'Cool' really is just.
It perfectly encapsulates that feeling of just surrendering yourself to someone.
I can't get over how good 'Pretty Please' is
Stop sleeping on it everyone~
Album has growers.
Cool has shown that the more you listen the more you'll fall for it.
Love Again still remains my favorite so far
And in other news Dua has catched up with 5SOS in UK album chart
Only 200 copies in between them.
I finally figured out today what Levitating today reminded me of.
The rap section and the wha she delivers it really reminds me of the intro to Tinie Tempah “Pass Out”. I don’t know if anyone else will hear it but that’s what I can hear it’s been on my mind since Friday I knew it reminded me of something and it hit me today that was it.
I think 'Cool' would actually work really well as a Summer single. I can imagine a very, Summery 'New Rules'-esque video for it.
I'd probably say - push BMH until end of May/Early June and then
Mid-late June: Cool
late August - Early Sept: Hallucinate
^^ and for the end of the year she can push Love Again
'Cool' being the next single/on the radio over the summer months sounds lush
The album campaign is aiming to be two or three years long! Presumably that includes the tour too and not just the run of singles, but hopefully this means all our favourites will get some sort of time in the spotlight.
https://www.musicweek.com/talent/read/how-dua-lipa-aims-to-reward-the-fans-with-future-nostalgia/079346
I’m down for that as long as we get a deluxe with If It Ain’t Me as the lead COS I NEED THAT SONG OFFICIALLY SO BADLY! 😂😍
I am expecting a re-release before tour starts with that Normani collab as a lead single!!!
I’m thinking the set up for this could be a bit like Teenage Dream tbh.
Like in terms of how the campaign will be set out.
I hope we get a long gap now until we get official single 4 though.
Please stick with the no features though Dua!
(The 3 years thing may be a bit of a Stretch do we count it as three year from album release or don’t start nows? I’m thinking we will get like a campaign up until around the end of next year maybes?)
Awards Season 2021 will be a big one for her in terms of performances.
I bought the vinyl on Amazon three days ago, and it initially said it wouldn't be sent until the end of April. However it was dispatched late last night... I can't wait to receive it
from FCP thread
THRILLED for her
Sorry if this is already posted elsewhere but
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-52117012
I really didn’t think I’d love her as much as I do. She was one of the artists I’d avoid due to being overplayed etc but so glad I gave her a shot! This album is honestly one of my favourite pop albums in recent years.
Talent wins
What a fight was this week for #1 album...I am actually surprised she managed not only oversell them but going 30k+ in the end!!!
Elated!
She added new prize with album purchase:
'Be an extra on Dua's music video when you purchase album'
Dua played UNO with Ronam Kemp on Instagram Live and she said the following:
• There will be a deluxe version of the album. She got some songs that she's been holding back for quite a while that she wants people to hear.
• Regarding the Miley collaboration, which is "LA Money", she's unsure if the song is the right one. To complement this, that track will be released by ALMA on her album, so they aren't going to release it though.
• Before she had the idea of Future Nostalgia as the album title, she thought that the album could be called Glasshouse. However, she scrapped that idea when she found out that Jessie Ware has a song (and album) with that name, so she referenced that on the title track.
I hope the deluxe is a Gaga style deluxe like the UK Fame Monster where we got 8 new tracks.
Hopefully there’ll be at least 5 when that time comes but I’m guessing it’s about 7 month away from happening right now it’s probably happening around November time.
EPIC lmao
Each day something new hits me. Today/right now it's Pretty Please and THAT BASSLINE. STUNNING.
I hope Grow in Bed grows on you people.
Seems to be the majority of people’s least favourite but it’s the one what’s growing on me the most with repeated listens.
I can honestly say I genuinely love every single song on the album except the title track and even that’s actually grown on me but it’s definitely the weak link of the album for me.
A heads up before the chart, can we please not post any spoilers of any sort until they have aired on BBC Radio 1's chart show or the Official Charts website (at 5:45) please. Thanks!
The Spotify special content is four behind the track videos of "Don't Start Now", "Physical", "Levitating" and "Break My Heart". Also, there are new animated canvasses for each song if you stream the album on mobile.
Debuts at number 1 here in Ireland with 5sos making a number 4 debut.
^ Great to see her at #1 in Ireland!

I thought some of you might be interested to know this information from yesterday. I would have posted it in the midweeks thread in the chart forum, but the topic is locked in order to avoid possible spoilers.

Does that confirm she is uk number 1 today? Streaming worked well in her favour.
To be honest the album isn't all that. The three singles are great, but the album as a whole is too samey & cohesive for my liking. It is definitely no Teenage Dream. The 80's vibe has already been overdone to death in the last decade by everyone and their mother, and there is no Be the One or New Rules on this album.
Her debut album had fantastic gems such as Genesis, Garden, No Goodbyes, Begging, Bad Together & Homesick which were not even singles. She didn't stick to one genre, they were just great pop songs and very eclectic in style.
debuts at number 2
On the positive side.
She’s out outpeaked her debut album and also I believe she’s had her highest ever weekly sales on the albums chart too.
Plus this album will have legs and stands a chance of climbing to #1.
She’s still had an incredible week.
Overall its all positive and i do think it will get number 1 at some point and possibly next week.
Of course #2 is nothing to be disappointed about.
Now let's hope her sales will stabilize for next week and manages to top the album charts!!
It is slightly disappointing considering our optimism about her getting the #1 was climbing all week and then for her to come SO close.
I'm not as confident as a lot seem to be that she will get the #1 next week. 34k was with her team pulling out all the stops to get big first week sales and the big streams for the first week, it's gonna drop quite a lot next week and idk if it'll be enough to beat All Time Low
Okay so I tweeted official charts to investigate the album result but chickened out because I didn't want death threats from 5SOS fans. It's just so unlucky for her to be SO close having really fought for it. #2 is a great position but for the sheer quality of the album it deserves no less than #1 status lol. But on the positive side:
- assuming orders from Amazon might be dispatched over the next couple weeks, maybe that will boost her chances of climbing to the top.
- since she is planning a deluxe edition for later release, hopefully the stars will align then.
I still think she is in with a good chance of number 1 next week.
I think some people may have assumed she could beat 5SOS's week 1 sales with her week 2 sales before the first mids came out this week, so I'm not getting my hopes up until this time next week
Gutted that she didn’t get to #1 fingers crossed that it can climb there in a future week!
I'm a little pissed that Dua missed the #1 spot by 551 copies, but if it's considered that Future Nostalgia was brought forward a week, she and her team made a good work to handle this in my opinion. However, on the bright side, I expect the album to hold like her self-titled has done there and it might climb atop in the following weeks.
Yes number 1 in Ireland and Physical has a new peak at 2 and Break My heart entered at number 3
I think she's get that no.1 eventually, it's a shame though she was so close.
Different circumstances but many successful albums didn’t enter at #1 (or their peak) but climbed there.
Rihanna’s had a few albums what didn’t enter at their peak (A Girl Like Me, Rated R, Loud)
Gaga didn’t get a #1 debut with The Fame.
Duas own debut album whats never left the chart since release didn’t debut at its peak either.
#1 in mids
5sos are #7
Boxset came today!
Ya I always kinda thought she could do it this week so fingers crossed. 5sos will prob be out of the top 10 or 15 come friday.
Lyric videos out Monday.
Yes, I'll wait for Monday update for full update before I get too excited.
I wanna make sure she's ahead at least 3k-4k from #2.
I don't know if I should post them here but here are some WW debuts for FN
New Zealand #1
Ireland #1
Lithuania #1
Australia #2
Belgium #2
Norway #2
Italy #3
Canada #3
Netherlands #3
Germany #4
Sweden #4
Top 5 everywhere
I’m guessing 5SOS got the Aussie #1 too?
Shocked at the NZ debut! I thought 5SOS May have beaten her there.
But 11 top 5 debuts is fantastic.
US and Canada will also be top ten debuts too won’t they?
#4 on HITS Top 50 with total sales of 62,611 (17,439 sales, 3,654 TEA and 41,518 SEA).
Awesome for Dua
original prediction was 55k iirc so she did more than that...and sometimes official Billboard numbers are higher or lower by couple thousands so hopefully in her case they will be higher
Amazing result!!!
#4 would be fantastic, I hope she does end up ahead of Pearl Jam in the final Billboard chart!
I bet 5SOS will be very annoyed if they miss #1 in the UK, if it's really that close between them and The Weeknd, considering 10,000 of their sales were wasted in the previous week due to a shipping error.
That's great US sales.
Blue cassette is back in stock on her official store if anyone fancies it! https://musicstore.dualipa.com/uk/music/future-nostalgia-blue-cassette.html
this post is from Friday Chart Prediction:
Another #1
New Zealand #1
Ireland #1
Lithuania #1
Finland #1
Australia #2
Belgium #2
Norway #2
Italy #3
Canada #3
Netherlands #3
Germany #4
Sweden #4
US #4
US & Canada are only projections for now!!!
#4 now confirmed in the US with 66,000 sales
Great result for Dua! She's come so far in less than 3 years
Glad to see that it debuted inside the Top 5 in the US and it even overperformed there.
Amazing result!
Listened to the album this morning for the second time. Cool, Hallucinate and Good In Bed are the highlights for me. Cool should be the next single. It screams summer.
Great album! It took me a couple of listens 'cause I was expecting something less throwback but in the end it's really addictive.
'Cool' and 'Love Again' have to be the next singles.
Why do I want to sing 'The Ketchup Song' every time 'Levitating' comes on nnnnn.
'Cool' should be the next single. It sounds like such a smash.
Literally any of Cool, Levitating, Hallucinate and Love Again could be the next single and I wouldn't be disappointed. The only song I'm sometimes skipping is Good In Bed. I don't dislike it but when I play the album on shuffle it just doesn't fit.
https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/dua-lipas-future-nostalgia-album-breaks-three-streaming-records-on-spotify__29325/
I’m not seeing what everyone else sees in Cool. It’s easily my least favourite song on the album.
Levitating would be my choice for the next single.
I can see them going for 'Cool' next too. It changes things up a bit after three huge pop songs, this is more chill and breezy, perfect for the summer. I agree with Scene though that any one of 'Cool', 'Levitating', 'Hallucinate' or 'Love Again' could plausibly be singles. I hope she released them ALL.
*releases 'Good in Bed' then moves onto the re-releases*
All of Dua's album made the Top 100 under old chart rules last week:
03. Physical
04. Don't Start Now
07. Break My Heart
43. Hallucinate
50. Levitating
55. Love Again
56. Cool
65. Pretty Please
67. Future Nostalgia
92. Good in Bed
100. Boys Will Be Boys
A slay *.*
Interesting that Future Nostalgia the song is one of the lowest considering it's track 1!
Hallucinate and Levitating making the top 50! Deserved
Great that all the songs were a success as well
