Watch this space. I feel similar with 'Uptown Funk', but I think that's mainly because of how much hype I had for it when I first heard it. I think it'll stick around high up in my chart for a little while longer though. Rae Morris is the only Sound of 2015 artist I'm into really - I find James Bay boring and I've only liked 'Desire' from Year & Years' solo material. Not particularly excited by 'Up' at the moment. I usually like these sort of male and female collaborations. 'Scream My Name' is from the Hunger Games soundtrack; pretty good but not having a lasting effect on me. Happy New Year to you too! It's definitely something I think has the potential to be a decent sized hit and I think with Captial already on board, the signs are looking healthy! Yeah, I've picked up on the Ellie Goulding sound in Rae's voice too. She sounds very Bjork/Kate Bush in 'Under the Shadows' too I think which is of course a brilliant thing! It seems to be a quiet week for the charts this week in terms of new releases so perhaps he can finally sneak a week in the Top 40. I too am surprised it hasn't done better; I'd certainly have thought streaming would benefit rather than hinder! Still, it's done pretty well for a non-Top 40 hit with sales of over 100k and I'm sure it managed 15k on gift card week! I've heard 'Get Over It' but I don't really like it - sounds just like a One Direction reject. :/ The video is much better, however. I saw so too, good choice but yeah, I'm not expecting big things for it but I think it could bag itself a Top 20 peak when the video is released (as long as there's radio support too). At least you do like 'Ghosttown'! I would LOVE Madonna to get another #1 but even with good promotion and radio support, I doubt she'd get to #1 with 'Living for Love'. Yeah, 'Blank Space' has proven to be one of my favourites from Taylor! When I heard she was making a pop album, I thought it would be more commercial than the Red era was so I wasn't expecting something I liked. Yet she's in fact captured everything that makes a good pop record! Well I usually like collaborations like Olly/Demi's 'Up' too but for some reason this just isn't clicking with me properly! 'Glow' is my favourite from Ella and I'm glad it's getting more recognition after people dubbed it weak in follow-up to 'Ghost'. Not sure when/if I'll be charting 'Leave While I'm Not Looking'. It's a beautiful song but it needs pushing properly as a single!
