I just watched Fantastic Four (2005) and I enjoyed it. I like the things they carried over from the comics

One flew over the cuckoo's nest, Classic movie! Louise Fletcher who plays 'Nurse Ratched' is my favourite ever female performance in a film. Such an underrated forgotten actress who should have gone on to bigger and better things.

The new Marvel universe Spiderman animation is fab, 8 or 9 out of 10, much better than Aquaman. For anyone that loves comic books it's pure delight, the style and pacing and visuals are pure comic book brought to life, great cast of famous names, great characterisation, interesting multiverse plot, amusing, touching, well-written, one of the best films of 2018.
Just fab! |

Finally just finished watching the Harry Potter films. I avoided them at first, as I'm not a huge fan of child acting, and the posh school for Wizards thing put me off a bit. I finally got round to watching the last 4 as they came out, then rewatched them recently in the right order (have the blu rays) and finally got the first 4 and watched them in the right order.
While it was kind of fun trying to work out who was who and what their back story was in the later films, it makes more sense to watch them in order I will watch them again, and in the right order next time |

Some sequels apply continuity from their predecessors, so I find it better to watch the predecessor before the sequel. The MCU Avengers Movies are better to watch when watching them in order. Same thing goes for some arc-driven TV shows. I remember watching all the Capaldi episodes of Doctor Who as they came out, but when I watched all of Nu Who Series 1-10 last year, I understood the show more and more. |

Just watched 'Berlin Syndrome', SUCH a refreshing, realistic take on the kidnapped-by-psychopath trope.
Here's my very brief Letterboxd review. I can't write for shit anymore. |
