That's all absolutely true but I think Mick's reaction in the Linda storyline has been pretty realistic. Linda does have a problem and it makes her do things she doesn't mean, but that doesn't make it acceptable and the people on the receiving end shouldn't be expected to just let it roll off their back. Mick has been uncharacteristically calm throughout this and has tried different ways to support Linda but each time it's resulted in Linda reacting in the same way, which must be incredibly frustrating.

If anyone has been acting awful in this storyline then it's Shirley. I can't take her stance seriously when we've actually seen on-screen the way that she depends on alcohol and has got into bad situations and treated people badly as a result. So much hypocrisy and I can't believe the producers aren't addressing this. The only way I can rationalise this is Shirley is in a state of denial herself and is using Linda's problem as a way to channel her personal conflict and deflect from her own issues.

Of course, Ollie is the victim but the dialogue from the likes of Shirley and Tina has been mostly about how it’s affecting Mick. He’s an awful character that we’re always expected to side with. He’s a tired character and Linda still has plenty of mileage left.

Mick is not generally a supportive husband, he always manages to make it about himself and he was the same with Lee in the depression storyline. Shirley always wants to see the worst in Linda and takes a swipe at any given opportunity so they really should divulge more into the storyline to explain why Shirley seems to have a high volume of resentment towards Linda and where it stems from. Tina does often show some empathy to Linda but Tina is not a very memorable member of the family.

My thoughts exactly!

I think Danny Dyer has been pretty great in this storyline.

I’m also on side of Mick’s been realistic in this storyline.

He’s clearly desperate for her to see she has a problem and is devastated as well. I think he’s acted quite well too. Kellie is continuing to be amazing in this storyline though I hope she gets a soap awards nomination for best actress or dramatic performance.

Kellie at the very least deserves a nomination but ideally the actual award.

Linda having her Bradley Cooper moment tonight (ASIB stans will know what I mean).

I was howling when she said something about Ian’s dad bod as well. She’s a real star of the show right now. She also has heartbreaking moments too as well as her outbursts what obviously aren’t supposed to be funny but sort of provide a balance.

Sharon was also bringing the drama tonight. Smug Sharon is so funny her facial expressions make me scream laugh.gif

I just seen Tilly’s Instagram post and assumed today was her last day of filming!

But Digital Spy have said it was Lisa and Louises last episode tonight.

Tbh I’m glad if that is her exit though that she’s left alive and with plenty of scope for a future return.

I'm gutted that was Louise and Lisa's exit - Louise was one of the interesting strands of the storyline and it feels like there was so much more to explore, whilst Lisa just lights up the screen everytime she appears.

I'm quite sick of EastEnders becoming The Ben Mitchell Show. Max Bowden was a breath of fresh air when he started on the show and brought some much needed nuance to the character of Ben, as well as being very charismatic and solid delivery of some great one-liners. Now he just seems so exhausted, getting involved in every storyline and the show rewarding his bad actions. "Ben organised the murder of a character but it's okay because he just wants to be loved". The way Calum has become his doormat annoys me so much. I can only justify it as Calum sees Ben as the person who made him be honest with himself and was the first person he was free to openly express his feelings too, so has this warped sense of loyalty to him. I can just see this becoming more and more of a toxic relationship, just like RobRon became on Emmerdale. At least Ben and Calum aren't constantly beating each other up.

It was a lame exit for Louise and Lisa considering how big their storylines have been for the past 6 months. They need to figure out a way to keep Lucy Benjamin forever.

I'm glad that it gives them scope to come back, but surely they could have maybe had Louise getting worse for another couple of weeks and getting sectioned or something, anything a bit more dramatic than going off in a taxi...

Also Steve McFadden must have the easiest job ever, taking breaks every 5 minutes after having a few dramatic scenes for a month laugh.gif

Uh Oh!!

I’ve been liking Kat again lately. She’s a great character away from Alfie.

Nice to see Bernie again but she doesn't seem remotely phased that the police think Keanu is dead.
