Great episode, I'm glad they went back to the 2005 design of the Cybermen as they were the most threatening design and still look great (not as keen on the floating heads though, a bit comical). Got about a billion questions (mainly relating to Brendan, I assumed he was the Lone Cyberman but that would surely be a bit too obvious) that I certainly hope the show can answer in a suitable way, but it's keeping me interested at least Ruth not featuring in any the trailer or having any mention at all makes me think they're either pulling a 'surprise' or she doesn't feature at all and this is setting up for the next series.

The episode that The Battle of Ranky As Kolov wanted to be.

The Cybermen are such a great enemy, fantastic to finally see them be used so effectively over the past few series. The warship full of them, being taken to the place of safety actually gave me chills. The new design is so good too!

Theory: the humans are getting sent to Gallifrey to be turned into Time Lords??

Not sure how Brendan fits into it all. It’s certain that next week won’t tie everything up but I do hope that Ruth is at least addressed even if it seems she won’t appear. Also that Jack has some role. Fugitive still seems an odd ep whilst nothing from it has been addressed yet. OK Jack warned about the Lone Cyberman but how/why did he know? He can’t just be used as a plot device.

Even more foreshadowing for the companions leaving next week, particularly the callback to the ending of their first episode!

Everything about the Cybermen in that episode was fantastic - really great to see them actually seem really chilling and genuinely threatening for the first time in a long while.

I'm SO confused re. the Brendan subplot, but from what I can gather it seems to me that he could be related to Jack (or something happened that triggered those abilities), he becomes involved in the Cyberman storyline somehow, and the whole thing ends up being a bit wibbly wobbly timey wimey in that he warns Jack and Jack travels back through time to warn the Doctor of it all before it actually happens. It's probably going to be a lot less Moffat-y than that though.

I'm genuinely worried Ruth's not going to play a part in any of this though. If she's not in The Timeless Children but does indeed turn up again in series 13, to me it just kinda makes the placement of Fugitive of the Judoon seem a bit premature.

It was a fun episode and maybe I wasn't paying enough attention but I just found it a little hard to follow? I guess, the intention was to raise more questions ready for the finale though.

I'll be raging if Ruth isn't acknowledged or even partially explained this series. Why throw that into the series and then not mention it again until s13 :')

The Master was iconic as ever even in that short 5 seconds *.*
