Charlton Athletic beat Doncaster on penalties to reach the League One play-off final after Rovers had forced extra-time on a dramatic night at The Valley. It will be a Charlton Athletic v Sunderland final then.

What actually happened there?

Sunderland defender Luke O'Nien was "punched" by a Portsmouth supporter during Thursday's League One play-off semi-final second leg at Fratton Park, according to team-mate Lee Cattermole.

The incident, which happened after O'Nien tumbled over the advertising hoardings chasing the ball, led to a fan being escorted from the stand.

After the game, O'Nien played it down as "just a bit of handbags".

So on Sunday, it is the play-off final between Charlton Athletic v Sunderland

Who do you think will win?

Charlton Athletic were last in the Championship in the 2015/16 season.

Sunderland were last in the Championship in the 2017/18 season.

Well done to Charlton for returning to the Championship with a playoff final 2-1 win against Sunderland. They will join Barnsley & Luton Town in the division next season, just one step away for the top tier.

More stadium problems for Coventry City, apparently a one year deal has been made to groundshare at St Andrews next season. By doing this they will no longer be expelled from the EFL.
