Courteeners have announced their sixth album 'More. Again. Forever.' will be released on January 17th 2020, following 2016's 'Mapping the Rendezvous' (and 2018's 'St. Jude: Re:Wired')

The lead single 'Heavy Jacket' was released last night, and I'd been really looking forward to its release after they performed it at the IOW Festival in June - and it's a banger! Reminds me of something from Arctic Monkey's 'AM'.

A video for 'Heavy Jacket' was released a few days ago, and title track 'More. Again. Forever' which I really really like - it's good to see them changing it up more for this album.

Loving Better Man a lot and managed to listen to the whole album in full this morning, I'm really impressed at how catchy it is and also at their longevity!

Love this album! Favourites from it are Heart Attack, Heavy Jacket, More. Again. Forever. and Hanging Off Your Cloud.

Their longevity really has been fantastic, I saw them at a festival in the summer and it was full of young people.

Their success is so impressive. Live they're absolutely huge, managed to amass a massive fanbase that was always unlikely. Probably benefited initially from not being that successful and had less pressure to deliver than a lot of bands and have been allowed to grow.

The album is decent. Seems like 'Hanging Off Your Cloud' will be the one from it that I truly end up loving, whereas Heavy Jacket has to rival 'Kitchen' their worst ever song for me, absolutely awful.

Great choice! I've been obsessed with it for the past month - I'd say it's definitely in my top 5 tunes of theirs.

Which would probably be:

1. Are You in Love with a Notion?
2. Not Nineteen Forever
3. Modern Love
4. Hanging Off Your Cloud
5. Cavorting

Bide Your Time and Better Man are up there as well.
