We're British, we all love to support an underdog wink.gif What are your favourite underdog victories/performances?

The World Cycling Championships were a big one recently, when Mads Pedersen made the breakaway the commentators were saying how he was lucky to be there and then he went and won the sprint! I was actually behind Iceland when they beat us in the Euros as well (traitor I know tongue.gif ) - and Chad le Clos beating Michael Phelps in the 2012 Olympics was a nice surprise as well!

Giancarlo Fisichella pole position and second place at the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix.
Wigan Athletic winning the FA Cup
Lincoln City reaching the quarterfinals of the FA Cup as a non-league team.

Kelly Holmes middle distance double at the 2004 Olympics I would say that was unexpected.

Of course 5000/1 Leicester City winning the Premier League.

Oh I also forgot Ester Ledecka winning gold at the 2018 Olympic Super-G as a late seed after the American coverage had already announced Anna Veith as the winner and stopped coverage kink.gif

And recently German raider Torquator Tasso winning the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at odds of 80/1 on Sunday. I backed him!

Anna Kiesenhofer at the Olympics has to be one fo the best of recent times! Clement Champoussin coming out of nowhere and overtaking all the favourites on that Vuelta stage has to be up there as well.
