Just listened to Lemonade in full for the first time in a while. What a moment, so strong from beginning to end.

Wowwww, that is insane *_* I was expecting top 40 maximum! Could've returned to the top ten or even challenged for #1 with a full week available!

The songs are still kicking about the Spotify charts so possibly top 10 next week? Although there’s a few bigger releases next week but should stay fairly stable
Self Titled and 4 are also back in the top 100 |

Still one of my favourite albums ever. BRILLIANTLY put together. Adele beating her to album of the year!!? I have to laugh. Sounds about white! visually beyonce > musically adele > if 25 was a visual album then i don't think there would have been any competition tbh ia with euphorique, i find lemonade incredibly overrated and still think the self titled album is much much better |

I couldn't ever find Lemonade overrated — as a package, a statement, a piece of art. So unparalleled in recent years.
She did that. |

Yeah, again I agree. Self Titled was a STUNT, and a brilliant album - easily her best at the time. But Lemonade knocked it out of the park.

I'm a massive supporter of the concept of an album so I'll always be amazed by and appreciative of Beyonce revitalising it and making album releases feel like such an event. Content-wise it has a sharp focus and structure and boasts powerful music that's both thought-provoking and catchy.
Not listened to the album in so long but I intend to revisit it. I prefer the album tracks to songs that act as 'the face' of the album like Hold Up and Sorry but as a package everything works together so well. |

lemonade was great, but i still feel like it deserved less acclaim than it got. and i still find it a little bit messy as a collective. the self-titled album was a shock and a trend setting moment for releases from anyone in the future. but for me, that album wasn't just a fad and it stands the test of time. not saying that lemonade is a fad, but her star power mostly definitely plays right into her ability to have the metacritics buying into something they otherwise wouldn't if it was from someone unknown or if it wasn't off the the back of another highly acclaimed album. i'm not discrediting its worth because of a previous release when it can stand on its own but i do feel like the B hype train rly carried this album rather than what it actually has to offer. there are some absolute bangers on this album.. but when i listen to it as a whole, it does nothing for me. and isn't that what you want from an album?
