The likely explanation for that would be that sales are a lot lower this year but Christmas songs are still selling roughly the same as they do every year.
Alongside the buildup to Christmas seemingly starting earlier each year.. |

I quite like the production on You Want Me but his rapping is just really offputting :/ He sounds like someone from TOWIE releasing a novelty single and chucking a dance beat behind it.

I've always seen hype building up from Nov 1. A lot of Xmas style food etc basically starts being delivered to supermarkets (eg.tins of chocolates like roses/quality street/celebrations) basically from September when the summer sales are over. On Nov 1st this stuff gets moved to end isles or to the focal points of stores! |
