No idea why, but I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I did.
Sufjan always delivers, and him and Angelo work so well together.
Some of these are up their with his absolute best for me — The Pillar of Souls and (This Is) The Thing are early standouts for me.

With this, Convocations, The Ascension and Aporia, we are being well and truly FED.

This album doesn't have nearly as many standout individual songs as 'The Ascension' did for me but it is a really ~pretty~ listen. Faves from the album tracks for me are 'The Pillar Of Souls' and 'Lost In The World'. Also still loving 'You Give Death A Bad Name', 'Olympus' and 'Cimmerian Shade' (the other singles I can kind of take or leave but I think I did enjoy them more in the context of the full album).
