GMB is the definition of visual clickbait. They find something that literally one person in the entire world does (says wants to be a toaster) and make out that we’re now all forced to become toasters and debate the whole thing unnecessarily.

And more people will tweet about it because it's something they disagree with. People are motivated to speak up when they disagree. The whole list (that I know about) reflects that. Sure, GoT is popular anyway but this season getting mixed reception will have increased its tweet numbers, otherwise I would have expected a reality show to be on top.

Question Time and GMB naturally have people disagreeing, very unsurprising to see them high, I don't know much about Love Island but the way it fills up the trending tweets with names of people from the show I can imagine that people disagree if their favourites are going.

point is: not so much twitter loves TV, twitter loves talking points
