Well I've just finished listening to all this on iPlayer, so many classics. I even enjoyed the ones I used to hate.
My favourites were: Beggin, F**k It, Ridin', We Own It, Jerk It Out, Welcome To JamRock & Mr Saxobeat.
And I'd never heard United States Of Whatever before and now I'm obsessed. smile.gif

(Well done everything one for hosting this thread.) smile.gif

I, too, have just finished listening to it all on iPlayer. It was just as wonderful as I expected, with more great discoveries than I could keep track of. So I'm genuinely considering another listen of the entire thing! I do recall "Nasty Girl", "Glorious", and "Love Shy (Thinking About You)" being highlights of the songs I didn't know.

Hopefully these 'of the millennium' specials keep happening every year or so. I worry that Radio 1 will eventually want to stop playing songs from as early as 2000. Enjoying them while they last, though, for sure wub.gif

The Bravery - An Honest Mistake (2005)

Huh, I was pretty sure "Believe" was a hit in the UK... where did that peak?
"Believe" didn't chart. That surprised me too when I found out. Great song!

"Ready For The Floor": Didn't Hot Chip get another hit with Wiley or something?

I wouldn't have put it past them to collaborate, but as far as I know the only connection is this classic Live Lounge cover:

I'm still surprised they played them anyway. I thought 'Ready For The Floor' was a great example of a song that's the acts's only Top 20 hit but necessarily their best-known song.
