Well even if nobody else cares, I might as well finish this thing
26 | Last Holiday 25 | Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous 24 | Private Benjamin Queen Latifah slaying tbh. This movie is such a heartwarming story. A woman gets a bump on the head and is mistakinly told she has 3 weeks to live, so she quits her job, withdraws all her money and goes off on one last holiday to blow it all. Simple plot but done so wonderfully. Along the way she meets a whole bunch of people and somehow gets mistaken for a really rich single woman, hilarity ensues with some tender moments too. Worth a watch or two. The sequel to one of the best FBI movies ever, which sadly didn't make this list, Sandra Bullock is just divine. What makes this movie more interesting than the first? Well firstly, Gracie Hart is a changed woman, a bit more of a diva and kinda annoying, but in a charming way. Her love-hate relationship with her bodyguard played wonderfully by Regina King and the locations used, Vegas is amazing. An oldie but a goodie in Private Benjamin, Goldie Hawn plays a woman whose husband dies on their wedding night so she applies for the army, obviously. While she fails miserably at first, she finds her inner strength, as all characters in these movies do, and manages to pass basic training. It's an interesting movie and you root for the main character throughout, even when she gives it all up for a slimy frenchman. |
