I have this feeling that Albania will do a lot better than we think. It doesn't have any competition in the 'big ballad from a woman' stakes. And they have pumped so much drama into the revamp that, with knock out staging, could connect with more casual Eurovision fans than expected too. Coming after Georgia in the running order doesn't help - second song in a row that takes itself too seriously so voters could be bored/fatigued

Albania is currently dead last in the odds (according to Eurovisionworld), would it be the first time when something come and win from there? I recall Marie N wasn't a favourite at all in 2002.

It won't win. I think it will qualify and be top 15 at best. That's what I mean by ' a lot better' than we think.

What do you think how much the order on the Spotify playlist matters here?
Because that's BAD for France and especially Finland. |

I'm predicting an Iceland televote win and a France jury win - where that leads us, I'm not sure.
I'd predict something like this based off what I've seen and heard from rehearsals: 1. France 2. Italy 3. Iceland 4. Malta 5. Cyprus |

I hope it doesn't have any effect. But it's the first thing that comes on Spotify when one searches for Eurovision so...

If Iceland win, do they have the facilities to host? I’m sure they have no arenas

If Iceland win, do they have the facilities to host? I’m sure they have no arenas The Icelandic government has said it many times we'd host the contest if we were to win. There are some potential venues but I think the most likely one would be Egilshöll (has hosted concerts with 18.000 standing and another one with 15.000 sitting), Kórinn (hosted two 19.000 person concerts in 2016 for Justin Bieber) or possibly Laugardalshöllin Arena (hosted IIRC like 30.000 people in 2019 for Ed Sheeran, but it's an outdoor venue so might have to be transformed). But don't worry, Iceland will 150% take the hosting gig if we win. Icelanders are FAR too patriotic to ever give up the hosting rights. |

Iceland and Malta can host if they win, worst case scenario they might have to spend a year building a roof on an outdoor venue but if Azerbaijan can build a whole arena in 9 months then anything is possible!

The closer we get the more I'm thinking Italy could very well have it, to me that seems like the most likely one to do very well and both jury and televote, I could see maybe France winning jury, Iceland televote, and Italy wins the whole thing being like top 3, say, on both.

Maybe I'm just getting ahead of myself because it's my favourite song and I *love* her, but I really see Cyprus killing the televote too. I'm praying she can upset a few of the favourites and pull a top 5.

I can only imagine how long it will take for all people to leave Iceland after the contest is over given the flights are limited and there are no trains or buses, whoops. Same with Malta really, it feels more claustrophobic :’)

In a non-Covid economy there are usually around 400 daily flights in/out of Iceland so I don't think we'll have to have people stuck here any longer than they want to lol. |

I guess it feels like it would be a shortage but I wouldn't mind getting stuck there for a few days if I were someone who just YOLO's it without booking things in advance x
