I don't think there was much space for a mixed pop group in the mid-00s from what I remember. Obviously there were the Black Eyed Peas but they were more cool and R&B/Hip-Hop-leaning opposed to the likes of Steps, S Club 7, Hear'Say and Liberty X who all (bar LX) died out by 2003.
