Jack White's second group The Raconteurs popped up in the charts in 2006 with lead single 'Steady As She Goes' and it reached #4. The band had a handful of other top 40 hits following this but across all of his releases.. SASG is still one his highest charting hits even above 'Seven Nation Army' although that's bound to be far greater on streams now. However his highest charting single came a year later with White Stripes in the form of 'Icky Thump' which peaked two spots higher at #2. The album Broken Boy Soldiers went to #2 in the UK albums chart!
3. The Raconteurs - Steady As She Goes (21/38 Votes) [55.26%] 4. The Verve - Love Is Noise (17/32 Votes) [53.12%] 5. Reverend and The Makers - Heavyweight Champion Of The World (12/34 Votes) [35.29%] 6. The Saturdays - Issues (14/33 Votes) [42.42%] 7. Britney Spears - I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman (14/33 Votes) [42.42%] 8. O-Town - Liquid Dreams (14/33 Votes) [42.42%] 9. Jaimeson Ft Angel Blue - True (12/34 Votes) [35.29%] 10. Westlife - Obvious (21/41 Votes) [51.22%] Vote For Your Winner! |

Kaisers to win though from these two but both are among both acts best! |

Raconteurs would have been my winner - I think it’s a wonderful underrated track, but these are my 2nd and 3rd at least. Going for the Kaisers.

Not me not even knowing Jack White was behind The Raconteurs
Props to Steps for making the final (one of their best songs so deserves) however it's an easy vote for The Kaisers here. |

Raconteurs going from 4 votes to 21 between Rounds 7 & 8, but they did well to get that far (btw Jack White did have a higher peak with White Stripes the following year when 'Icky Thump' reached #2).
My favourite of the whole round, Kaiser Chiefs to win! |

Deeper Shade Of Blue is EASILY the best song on this list for me, so I'm relieved to see it swim through the sea of indie, even if it ends up in 2nd. Probably the best Steps song?

My favourite of the whole round, Kaiser Chiefs to win! Oh yes forgot about that oops. Can't say it's one I recall much either oops. Edited it in commentary now! Second edit: FWIW would have also voted 'Steady As She Goes' as the winner from this top 3 tbh. Also would've been a fresh act winning a Survivor but alas 3rd is still very great for it. Certainly grown on me a lot more whilst listening to it this and last year! |

Steps to win, but both are great.
I wouldn't say either is my favourite track by either act though. |

Perhaps against type for me but I'm going for Steps This is comfortably their best song for me, along with One for Sorrow. Really like the Kaisers too, but I preferred the other singles from Employment.
