Looks like they could be, Sia doesn’t seem like the sort of artist to release a studio version of a cover (aside from the Annie track, which was a reinterpretation of a song from the film, for the film, ofc). She’s probably most well known for her songwriting!

The song's not bad. I can hear glimpses of pre-1000 Forms of Fear Sia in there which is nice and I think there's room for it to grow a bit more.
I am hoping for something more from the album though. Bring on 'Puppies Are Forever'!

I like both songs, Santa is better though! At least they are original songs unlike what many other artists do by simply churning out the same cover versions of classic songs every year.

So excited. Haven't had time to listen to all of these in full yet but Ho Ho Ho sounds amazing!
The majority doesn't even sound that Xmassy which is great.

SCFU is a total jam, and also Ho Ho Ho is very good. Can't believe the album is going to miss the Top 40 on its first week 
but fingers crossed it can climb in the next few weeks.

I don't get all the negative reviews about this album. Its actually quite good and bold and brave to release an a Christmas album of original songs, rather than the usual run of the mill cover versions with a few new tracks.

I tried listening to 'Santa's Coming For Us', but it's absolutely dire and I had to turn it off halfway through. I kind of had high hopes for a Sia Christmas song.

I am streaming it on Apple Music and it's no1 on my personal album chart. Tom Chaplin is another new xmas release I'm enjoying although it's a lot more sedate and not upbeat.
People saying Sias album doesn't even sound Christmassy are wrong - it grows a lot with listens especially the single Santas Coming For Us and I haven't purchased a Sia album in my life!

it's silly but for me the main issue is her enunciation, that it doesn't sound like English, sounds like she's singing in Cantonese or something

Not that impressed with the three new songs, the original album is perfection as it is. I've already played the album twice this season and 'Ho Ho Ho' has been repeated several times 
I have heard 'Santa's Coming For Us' on the radio this December but I kinda wish she'd promoted a different song from the album this year - 'Ho Ho Ho' is so catchy that if she pushed that as a single and sent it to radio, I'm absolutely certain that in a few years time it would become a Christmas classic!

I feel the same, its so annoying. I actually never listen to her albums because I hate this aspect but I somehow managed to ignore it with this album because I genuinely love the songs. But my God, I don’t understand 80% of what she is saying.

Snap! Gave it its second spin this evening on the bus home - really like it. Thought with the deluxe release her record company would have pushed another single as I'm sure radio 2 would lap it up!

Was the deluxe edition issued on CD in the UK? I haven’t seen one anywhere in HMV. It’s quite difficult to obtain unless you use EBay!

I heard Candy Cane Lane in McDonalds today and I was happy.
This is becoming my favourite Christmas album. I have been listening to it a lot over the last few weeks. She has made a lot of good original Xmas music here.

I was really hoping she'd push a different song from it each year but sadly that doesn't seem to have happened. 'Ho Ho Ho' would make such an amazing single

I still have to listen this year as I’ve added Jamie Callum and Kelly Clarkson to my on the go list for a variety. I’ve also re added Robbies as it’s only in its second year really. But I will listen to this Phil Spector and Buble again at least once.
It’s a great Xmas album and I do think SCFU and Candy Cane Lane will be songs you hear each year due to the videos and I’ve also seen it in popular culture to for example RTE are using Ho Ho Ho on their Xmas ad and I’ve heard one of the slower tracks this year on something - Snowman I think it was!

'Snowman' was very popular on TikTok throughout the year and they jumped on that for a MV a month or so ago, but they aren't pushing it which is odd... SCFU is on all the playlists still and being promoted to US radio along with 'Candy Cane Lane'! her team make the oddest decisions

This really is the Christmas gift that keeps on giving I'm not sure why she bothers tbh, this year's crop are the weakest additions by far. The original 10 songs are brilliant, easily my favourite ever Christmas album, but she she should have just left it at that.
Three years but not in a row. The original came out in 2017, then she re-released with added songs in 2018, 2021 and now 2022.
Well this is just factually incorrect.

Hope "Snowman" can get a new peak this year especially with this weather - it's due to enter the top 40 on Friday at 37 based on today's midweek info but last year it was only at 44 in the equivalent chart and peaked at 35 two weeks later so is already overperforming compared to then. It's beautiful track and I love that video - yes it's a bit soppy but tastefully so.
