People do realise this is a painting right? It's not just s picture of her. Some ones taken hours to paint this and it's perfect imo
Yep it was this thread I read it! wub.gif

I remember when she unveiled the album cover in a live video and she said it was a painting, so I always knew.

That itself must be around this time 10 years ago! Blimey.

Not sure how interested you guys are in vinyl but this has received a special 10th anniversary release at Urban Outfitters - it looks kinda fancy!

The album is held in such high regard for the singles, but I feel like there's so many gems alongside them; Peacock (not sorry), Circle The Drain, Pearl, Hummingbird Heartbeat and Not Like The Movies are all wonderful pop songs wub.gif The album as a whole actually deserves more recognition I'd say

This is genuinely a really good album tbh. Katy’s quite hit and miss for me but this era was like gold it just felt right. One of those genius eras were everything just fell into place and also managed to connect as well. Great single choices (with in my opinion the singles released after the album all being stronger than the lead meaning more album sales). The re release wasn’t even needed tbh but it did kinda complete it in a way.

I definitely hold this down as one of the best campaigns of an album of last decade. *thats* how you do album #2.

Such a carefree pop album...

It's probably her only good album as a whole... I find all her other albums a bit hit and miss.

It's funny how Katy has never had a well reviewed album. Even Teenage Dream got bad reviews from publications who yesterday were hailing it a pop masterpiece lol.

This has been such a streaming force lately! Pretty much consistently always within the UK Top 100 albums now and passed the 200 weeks mark quite a while ago now. It does contain some classic singles from her though. I still think this was one of if not the best campaign in the 2010s decade for a female album she pretty much did what Dua did with Future Nostalgia with this era and made it a real campaign.

Also very recently found out that the original album cover was actually a painting which stunned me laugh.gif
