Belgium
Loïc Nottet - Rhythm Inside

QUOTE
Belgian Francophone broadcaster, RTBF, has just announced that the runner up from this year's The Voice Belgique will represent Belgium at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna in May.
Like Roberto Bellarosa in 2013, broadcaster RTBF has once again used The Voice Belgique format to choose its entrant for the 2015 Eurovision Contest in Vienna.

Loïc Nottet was runner up in the latest series of The Voice Belgique, where he impressed the audiences with his rendition of Rihanna's Diamonds.

RTBF have said that a press conference will be held by the end of the month, revealing more details about Loïc's participation. Presumably, the format for choosing the song will also be discussed here too.

Loïc is hoping to "succeed Conchita Wurst" as winner of the 2015 competition, the article states.

'Love Kills' turned out not bad in the end so I'm a bit optimistic here.

Loïc has a fab voice so I'm glad. I hope the song will be good.

The Belgian entry will be announced in a press conference on 10th March at 10.30am

I read something about them filming the music video in London so a lot of effort may have gone into this!

The song is titled "Rhythm Inside" and http://deredactie.be/cm/1.2264994?view=popupPlayer is very promising!

Posted by: Ryan. 10th March 2015, 12:53 PM

It is very promising, he has such an unusual voice! ohmy.gif

This sounds fantastic, kind of like a Christophe Willem entry would be for France, except in English obvs. When are we gonna hear the full version?

Posted by: J▲hq 10th March 2015, 07:27 PM

We have it now!

I absolutely love him and his voice. Very Lorde. Might just be my favourite entry so far ohmy.gif

Absolutely brilliant. My absolute favourite so far by a country mile and a half.

Antwerp 2016 if they make it really shine on stage.

Posted by: Conderella 10th March 2015, 07:34 PM

Please let him be soaking wet on stage in May too. Such a sexy song!

The lighting makes his skin such a weird shade of blue/grey/white. Is it a tribute to the WHAT COLOUR IS THIS DRESS debate? biggrin.gif

Oh that is rather fabulous! Both my home country and my adopted home country bringing IT this year!

Really like it on first listen, although the 'rap up up' part is slightly irritating! The rest is very strong though

Posted by: Ryan. 10th March 2015, 10:22 PM

Amazing! ohmy.gif It is very Lorde, but that also makes it very 2015 and it's modern sounds stands out fantastically. I feel like this could be this year's 'Running', a very on-trend modern song that sounds like it'd fit straight into the charts.

The less successful countries in semi one are really bringing it it seems, the likes of Armenia (they need their month long hype to have a good song at the end of it) and Romania could be facing a struggle this year.

Posted by: Jack89 11th March 2015, 12:20 AM

I really like this. I'd rather it be a little bit shorter though as i start to get bored before the end. Very current and something you could hear on Radio 1.

This is fantastic ohmy.gif 12 points to Belgium

This is good, but not as good as this thread made me expect.

It sounds pretty cool, but I keep getting Shawn Mendes and Lorde love child vibes from his look in the video tongue.gif

I happened to hear this earlier today, is one of the lyrics in this song "I'm gonna get diarrhoea" or is just bad enunciation?

Posted by: Ryan. 25th March 2015, 12:16 AM

One of the lyrics is "I'm gonna get that rhythm back" so it may be that you misheard, although I can't say they sound similar at all!

Posted by: Umi 25th March 2015, 12:42 AM

I think it's more bad hearing than bad enunciation laugh.gif

I just re-listened closely, what I thought I was hearing was "I'm gonna get diarrhoea and [something]". laugh.gif

But it was on sort of in the background so I wasn't paying full attention.

WOW! Surely a top 5 if he pulls out a perf like that on the night.

Posted by: *Tim 6th May 2015, 01:32 PM

Bye The Netherlands HELLO Belgium, I am addopting you as my new country yasss

Posted by: Ryan. 6th May 2015, 11:01 PM

That is fantastic! It's a shame that presumably the dancers will have to be sacrificed in Vienna unless they can get away with just a couple of backing singers, but I guess we'll probably get a similar performance but without the dancers.

I should be all over this but it just leaves me cold. But to think this is the same nation that brought us "mother" last year is nothing short of remarkable.

Posted by: Harve 13th May 2015, 01:18 PM

I had no idea this was a Eurovision entry. It's legit good!
