I wouldn't say you would have to work hard to avoid an immersive experience of genres with Spotify. Many just save the ones they like and mostly listen to those, such as hot hot uk. They update themselves so you don't ever really need to change playlists unless you are directly searching for non-chart hits/music.
I agree with Doctor Blind that right now we simply don't have that great material coming out. You get the odd big song release but they are much more sporadic. Right now it doesn't really feel like we have had many big songs this year. Even One Dance doesn't seem like a big song, despite its long run at #1. |
