they mean that usually pinkpop features rock or indie bands or upcoming acts. Robbie is a mainstream artist. But all papers were blown away and so were some young members of groups who had performed who were interviewed.
The reporter they send to pinkpop are often really young and so they were surprised. You could recognize it with the tweets. The prominent tweeters who I know from television who are older were not surprised. but the younger ones now really get Robbie and his art and live performance |

It mus be scary doing those festivals especially when a lot of the audience are really young & probably never heard any of Robbie songs , his is a great entertainer though & is well able to get a crowd going , I bet he finds it tiring though , you can be sure he has to put in a massive amount of effort into his performance... I thought that. Mentally it must be really tiring putting that amount of effort in to get the people behind the front rows on your side and engaged in the performance. I think you can see the physical effort he puts in from some of the photos this morning. No wonder he feels wiped out afterwards. Hopefully he feels he did a good job though and that it's worth all his effort. He could just be taking life do much easier than he does but just seems to want to keep moving forward. |

CONCERT REVIEW Robbie Williams at Pinkpop: triumph of oily Bieber **** He served himself at Pinkpop off as an "obese Justin Bieber", but the set of Robbie Williams in the least hinted a puffy superstar. The show opened with traditional 'Let Me Entertain You ", and the request he consented for nearly two hours. Just no one mourned more about the Foo Fighters. By Gunter Van Assche - June 14, 2015 "Anyone over thirty, let hear!" A stormy cheers rises in Landgraaf. "For anyone under thirty, I want to introduce myself well ... I'm Robbie Williams, born in 1974. I went to school, buisde, joined a boyband, got fat, got to the drugs, emaciated, went to rehab, Mathews was thick, sang "Angels" and conquered the charts as an obese Justin Bieber. " Hilarious how Williams extol themselves as eager as reviled. "You were amazing," he will be at the end of the show also sigh. To add then dried to add: "It feels like it's 1999 and I'm a superstar again." Witness his record sales of Robbie Williams, the star may indeed be some tawny, but its niche as a headliner at Pinkpop he still knows justify with brio. As a roaring stallion trots the 41-year-old pop star on the stage, where the jukebox constantly jumps from hit to hit, while with other people's classics. Thus, Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" on "Kids 'stuck, and go' Royals 'by Lorde precedes' Millennium ', which is also broken up by '99 Problems' by Jay-Z. Passing further in the set: Queen ('Bohemian Rhapsody'), George Michael ("Freedom"), U2 ("I Still Have not Found What I'm Looking For") and Oasis (Wonderwall). "I wrote that last song," Williams monkelt afterwards: a witty nod to his much-discussed feud with the brothers Gallagher. Speaking of feuds: the stage, the pop star to be surrounded today by bunched talented veterans, most notably orchestra Guy Chambers . That was between 1997 and 2002 for five years in charge of Robbie's greatest successes, but then suffered heavy damage on partnership. Nice to see that this tandem ride back. Back to the show! The public is continuously played like a violin, and the Grand Gesture cautions Robbie revue nor: Singer brings' You're The One "as a serenade while looking deep into the smoldering eyes of superfan Ilona. Another girl asks again on stage, and when he 'Angels' a lot of people leave fraternize with each other. Everyone hangs in each other's arms. Today, Williams has nothing to promote. Nothing to prove. Would it be that the show has such a tremendous joie de vivre? No record company which currently puts him through the hoops, no pressure in the boiler. Even his memory he must not speak a teleprompter delivers instant the text, each hit known to the public at Pinkpop indeed audible from outside. Shamelessly, he makes the same audience for almost two hours the court. What ... a ... show. No dead time, nothing too little. No ticket for TW Classic? What are you waiting actually for? http://www.demorgen.be/muziek/robbie-willi...ieber-a2358341/ |

A German interview with Robbie about Ayda, the kids, and his new attitude to work. I can translate it with bing for some reasons. If you are interested, it is the one about the sad songs which had been better... |

Maybe you were thinking of Belgrade Laura Think I was Bohemian Rhapsody from last night. https://twitter.com/rw_mbe/status/611320615820259329 It seems like it was a normal Robbie concert instead of a festival. Was he the only performer? |
