07. Never Gonna Say I'm Sorry | Average Score: 8.75 Highest Rate: 11 (Adam Aloud), 10: (Aphrodite, Kellyann, Luciano) Lowest Rate: 4 (fgboy2511)

At #7 and the first in this countdown to receive an 11 is "Never Gonna Say I'm Sorry" released in March 1996 as the third and final single from their 2nd album "The Bridge" and despite receiving much love from fans, the promotion for it's released and couldn't quite manage the success of the first 2 singles, which was why no more official singles were released, although 2 other album tracks were used as promos in select countries such "My Deja Vu" for France and Scandinavia and "Angel Eyes" became the very last released in Southeast Asia. "NGSIS" managed to hit top 20 in Danish, Finnish and Chile and top 40 in Sweden and Austria, Elsewhere it managed to chart in France, Germany, Canada and Australia. It wasn't given a UK release and in the USA they're US label wasn't happy with any of the music videos from the album and chose not to have the video alongside it's release and therefore became their first single not to chart on the Top 100, limping in at #106.

06. Don't Turn Around | Average : 8.785 Highest Rate: 11 (Addy King), 10 : (Stars Fade, Luciano), Lowest Rate: 8 (gooddelta, MIKEMYER, Aphrodite, DJ Hazey, Heezus Froot, fgiboy2511, AdamAloud)

At #6 is "Don't Turn Around" a song that has been covered many times through the years, firstly by Tina Turner as b-side to her 1986 single "Typical Male" and having seen potential in the song it was made famous in 1988 by British reggae group Aswad which topped the UK charts. Ace Of Base brought success to the song in the 90's at the suggestion of their US label and recorded it first for the US version of their debut album titled "The Sign" over there and then added to the European re-release of the album. Released in March 1994 as the 6th overall single and became another success for the group by hitting #4 in the USA becoming the first time that song charted there and elsewhere it topped the charts in Canada and hit top 5 in Sweden, Finland and UK, as well as top 10 in Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Ireland and New Zealand, then finally top 20 peaks in Belgium, Swiss, France and Australia.

05. All That She Wants | Average Score : 8.892 Highest Rates: 11 (Kellyann), 10: (Acidburn, gooddelta, MIKEMYER, Luciano, Heezus Froot, Addy King, bartsimpson, AdamAloud), Lowest Rate: 4 (Aphrodite)

At the #5 spot is one of the group's biggest singles "All The She Wants" released in Europe 1992, then the UK in 1993 as the 2nd single from their first album "Happy Nation", and widely considered their breakthrough after they're previous single "Wheel Of Fortune" didn't quite take off, but this one started their international success. The song itself was influenced by Kayo's "Another Mother" which was a Swedish top 20 hit and became a smash hit by topping the charts in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Spain, Swiss and the UK (they're first and only chart topper there) and elsewhere it manage top 5 peaks in France, Ireland, Norway, USA, Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden and Finland.

We live in a free world

04. Life Is A Flower | Average Score: 9.285 Highest Rate: 11 (Pippa, Aphrodite, gooddelta), 10: (Acidburn, MIKEMYER, Kellyann, bartsimpson), Lowest Rate: 3 (fgiboy2511)

At #4 is "Life Is A Flower" which actually was the original winner during the first round of rates, but was let down by a 3 and a couple of 9's midway through. But still managed a respectable top 5 position. Released in April 1998 as the lead single from their 3rd album "Flowers" and marked a successful return to the charts after a three year absence. In the UK it became their biggest hit in 4 years by hitting #5 and became a big seller with 264,000 copies, elsewhere it hit top 5 peaks in Danish, Finland, Italy and Sweden and also managed top 10 in Spain and top 20 in Austria, France, Swiss, Ireland, Germany and Norway. In the USA the song was re-titled "Whenever You're Near Me" in October 1998 as the album's 2nd single and peaked at #76 becoming their final entry on the US top 100 to date.

Just seize the day

03. Beautiful Life | Average Score: 9.357 Highest Rate: 11:(MIKEMYER), 10: (Acidburn, Pippa. Aphrodite, Kellyann, Stars Fade, Addy King, bartsimpson, fgiboy2511), Lowest Rate: 7: (Heezus Froot)

At the #3 position is the last of "The Bridge" era singles to feature here, "Beautiful Life" released in October 1995 as the 2nd single from their 2nd album and became the album's most successful single in most countries and still stands as one of their best loved songs of their career. This is also the first time they incorporated gospel themes into their music and was inspired by band member Jonas Bergren while he was in the Canary Islands. Worldwide it charted best in Canada and Finland hitting #3 peaks and hit top 10 in France. In the UK it fared better than the lead single by hitting #15 becoming the album's best selling and highest charting single there, as well as top 20 peaks in Australia, Ireland, Belgium, USA and Germany. Then top 40 peaks in Sweden, Austria, Swiss and Netherlands. In the USA it was released as the album's lead single in November '95 and became their 5th top 20 hit.

So now just 2 left = The Sign VS Always Have Always Will who will come out on top.

You could step right out of my wildest dreams

02. Always Have Always Will | Average Score: 9.392 Highest Rate: 11 (DJ Hazey, bartsimpson), 10: (Acidburn, Pippa, Aohrodite, gooddelta, Kellyann, Luciano, AdamAloud), Lowest Rate: 6.5 (Stars Fade)

At the runner up spot is "Always Have Always Will", which means that we all know what the #1 song is in this rate. Released in December 1998 and taken from their third album "Flowers" and was released in many parts of the world at different times, in the UK it was the 3rd single, in Australia it was the 2nd following "CS", then Germany and Scandinavia as the 4th single. The song itself is heavily inspired by the motown sound and samples The Supremes "Where Did Our Love Go" and Four Tops "I Can't Help Myself". The song was originally titled "Killer on the Rampage" with different lyrics, but the head of Arista records liked the melody but demanded it to be redone. In the UK it became their last ever top 20 hit peaking at #12, but hung around the charts for several weeks during the X-Mas period and sold quite well. Elsewhere it topped the charts in Romania and hit top 20 peaks in Ireland and Danish, and top 40 in Swiss and Austria. This definitely stands as one of the best songs of their careers and so glad it ended up this high.

You would hardly recognize me I'm so glad]

01. The Sign | Average Score: 10.035 Highest Rate: 11 (Acidburn, Stars Fade, Heezus Froot, fgiboy2511), 10: (Pippa, gooddelta, MIKEMYER, DJ Hazey, Addy King, bartsimpson, AdamAloud), Lowest Rate: 8.5 (Aphrodite)

Now we finally announce our winner and I am so happy to say that "The Sign" with a whopping average of 10.035. Released in November 1993 as the 5th single from their debut album "Happy Nation" and became an instant iconic smash hit by topping the US charts for 6 weeks as well as hitting #1 in Australia, Canada, Finland, Germany, New Zealand and Spain.
