Hopefully, people will move on from "Slide" onto this

This will be pushed as the second US pop single, while "Rollin" is the second US rhythmic single. "Heatstroke" was sent to US radio, but it wasn't properly pushed there. That said, I assume that "Feels" will be promoted as the next UK single. (Third after "Slide" and "Heatstroke", right?)

Posted by: Cremey 16th June 2017, 06:43 AM

Absolutely adore this on first listen, so fun and catchy. Could even rival 'Slide' as my favourite so far.
So glad he switched up his sound, this album is sounding incredible.

Posted by: ElectroBoy 16th June 2017, 07:37 AM

On first listen, I was underwhelmed (but that seems to be the thing with Calvin this era)

Katy Perry is possibly the most pointless feature here too. They should've just got Ariana to do this at the same time as her pointless Heatstroke cameo.

Posted by: Cody S. Berry 16th June 2017, 07:39 AM

it's weird how this sounds like Calvin had absolutely no input at all from this

Posted by: gavindeejay 16th June 2017, 08:02 AM

Very disappointing. I could get on board with Slide and Heatstroke, but both Rollin' and this are poor. I do miss the Calvin that gave us amazing tracks such as I Need Your Love, Acceptable In The 80's, Feel So Close, Blame, etc.....

Posted by: danG 16th June 2017, 08:19 AM

Enjoying this. Needs a few more listens but I'm pleased.

Not really sounding like Calvin much, although towards the end it doesn't sound too bad. Also: parrots wub.gif

4 out of 4 now, I can't !! What a groove

Posted by: Lenny 16th June 2017, 02:19 PM

I keep hearing "don't be afraid to catch fish"

Posted by: blacksquare 16th June 2017, 04:17 PM

I had to check this was Katy, sounds so much like Gwen Stefani on the chorus

Posted by: mdh 16th June 2017, 04:32 PM

This is just so... nothingy. Then again I DID feel like this with all three of Calvin's previous efforts - and all of them grew on me. I can't see myself ever liking this though tbh, it just feels like album filler and nothing more.

Posted by: Inna Selez 16th June 2017, 05:59 PM

Parrot saved this song.

Posted by: slowdown73 16th June 2017, 06:02 PM

Another lacklustre single. The sooner this era is over, the better.

Posted by: BridgeCow 16th June 2017, 06:57 PM

This definitely isn't clicking with me as much as the other three singles but I think it definitely has potential to grow

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 16th June 2017, 07:06 PM

I like the 80s funk/disco vibe of it but it feels like they've wasted a good backing track on a seriously shoddy song. sad.gif

I really wish him and Katy had done a collaboration around 3/4 years ago.

Posted by: jase. 16th June 2017, 09:46 PM

Abhorrent, just like his previous three singles from his new album.

Can we PLEASE get back the Calvin who made proper bangers? I miss those days.

It's #40 officially, I think people moved on quite a while ago laugh.gif

This is so perfect in this weather, such a fun, summery single. Pharrell's parts are my favourites, best thing he's been involved indeed for YEARS.

Posted by: danG 17th June 2017, 09:39 AM

Yeah this is brilliant. Sounds so fresh and I have a lot of respect for Calvin for not releasing generic dance pop singles when the likes of David Guetta and Zedd are.

Posted by: Stu1985 17th June 2017, 09:31 PM

Actually loving this!

Posted by: Mack 17th June 2017, 10:29 PM

Great this. Sounds better than on first listen. Tune for the summer this.

Posted by: cqmerqn 17th June 2017, 10:30 PM

Better than Heatstroke. Milessss better than Rollin' too.

I echo your sentiments - can't wait for the album. I haven't felt so excited for a Calvin album to be honest.

Posted by: Jonjo 18th June 2017, 07:53 PM

The bassline in this reminds me a lot of Spice Girls - Never Give Up On The Good Times. laugh.gif

Cannot get enough of this, love it SO much. I'd like it to be huge pls x
Still can't get over Katy's Gwen impersonation though haha. Love it.

I'm glad someone else heard this! They sound so alike, kind of makes me wish it was a Pharrell Gwen collab.

Posted by: 360Jupiter 19th June 2017, 08:02 AM

Not mad on this. I'm over Pharrell and Katy Perry isn't doing much on this.

Posted by: Davidson 19th June 2017, 01:17 PM

I adore this now too. Such a grower, so feel good.

The only weak link so far this era has been 'Heatstroke'. The other 3 tracks have all been fire.

Posted by: Lenny 21st June 2017, 11:09 AM

The more I hear this the more I like it. I've been listening to the 4 tracks released together a lot this week, it just sounds so good in this weather.

Posted by: Stu1985 23rd June 2017, 07:17 PM

Liking Calvin's collaboration with DJ Khaled, Travis Scott and Jeremih - Don't Quit out now on DJ Khaked's album Grateful.

Not sure what these stills mean, but they need to be from a music video, right?

This is actually pretty enjoyable tbh, even if it's not what I'd expect from him laugh.gif I'm open to a couple similar sounding tracks on the album but not the whole thing.

Posted by: jase. 7th July 2017, 11:01 PM

From finding this abhorrent...to it potentially being a #01 in my personal chart rotf.gif

Posted by: Tombo 21st July 2017, 07:30 AM

This has started to grow on me, I love the supposed Taylor digs!

Posted by: Stu1985 12th August 2017, 12:27 PM

It is now the official UK #1 single! Yas!

Posted by: danG 12th August 2017, 12:56 PM

Great news even if it doesn't 'deserve' it (with Despacito still being ahead without ACR), good to see people really taking to Calvin's new music style.

agree useless and pointless
move on to the next single!!

Posted by: Dexton 28th August 2017, 05:30 AM

I think the video is more directed at the US market to give Feels a bigger push, since it's only just gone Top 20 over there.

Or better yet take some time off & come back with a better album ph34r.gif

It was filmed like 3 months ago so I think it was intended for something else. It's cute though, Katy looks great.
