1. Chelsea
2. Arsenal
3. Manchester United
4. Manchester City
5. Liverpool
6. Tottenham Hotspur
7. Stoke City
8. Swansea City
9. Southampton
10. West Ham United
11. Everton
12. Newcastle United
13. Crystal Palace
14. Sunderland
15. West Brom
16. Leicester City
17. Watford
18. Aston Villa
19. Norwich
20. Bournemouth

Let me start at the top - I think the top 4 will be fairly close, probably more so than last year. None of the signings any of the big teams have made so far have impressed me enough to think that they will challenge Chelsea. Both Chelsea & Arsenal have the most stability in their squads, and I think that will show against the two Manchester clubs. Tipping United above City because City have done nothing to sort out their defensive issues this summer, and going by the paper talk it looks unlikely that will happen. Man Utd have made some good signings, but I'm yet to convinced yet. There will be quite a lot of wholesale changes in the first team, and their strength last year was using Fellanini. They need an out and out centre forward. If they go in to the season with Rooney, Wilson & Hernandez then they're going to come short at some point.

I still stand by this - if Liverpool have a fit Sturridge, then they will certainly challenge for 4th throughout the season. Unfortunately I think our problem will be source of goals again. Need players to really step it up to have any chance of 4th, hence why I'm being pessimistic for now! I don't know whether Kane will have another season like he did last year - but putting Spurs in 6th for now as I can't see them putting up a big challenge for 4th, and I think the other 5 teams have better squads.

Between 7th and 13th really there's not much to choose. I expect a few of the teams will start really well and lose consistency midway through. All of the mentioned teams have made some great signings, so it's really hard to predict how well they will do as there's not a lot to choose between them.

I think any of the bottom 5 and perhaps Sunderland could go down. Bournemouth will really struggle to make the step up, similar to Burnely, I think they will have their moments in the league and put up a good fight, but there is a massive lack of quality in that team over the season - see Norwich as well. Aston Villa are still my tip to go down - lost their best players from last season, and they don't have the structure/scouting network of Southampton to become even better. I think they will really struggle this season. I expect both Watford & Leicester to struggle too, and cannot see either manager lasting the full season!

Top goalscorer: Diego Costa

Here's my views biggrin.gif

1. Chelsea - don't think they'll run away with it this year, but still rightly clear favourites again
2. Manchester United - more confident on the signings this Summer, a sustained title challenge is almost a necessity for LVG this year
3. Manchester City - not convinced on summer activity so far. Defence still needs work but they'll be up there as per
4. Arsenal - standard Arsenal finish
5. Liverpool - more average signings IMO & we'll see how they cope without Gerrard or Sterling. Top 4 might be too much of an ask
6. Tottenham - Kane won't do as well this year surely. As usual they have a fairly decent team but not much balance. Top 6 by default
7. Stoke - look very good to kick on again. More good signings & third season under Hughes means a good platform
8. Everton - should be back to more what they're used to after last year's hiccup. Lukaku needs to be on form for them or they'll struggle again
9. West Ham - making some strong intentions this year. Decent though untried manager & some promising signings should mean top half finish
10. Swansea - don't think they'll do quite as well as last year but they have an extremely solid team just needing some finishing touches
11. West Brom - standard Pulis finish. Never be in threat of relegation & mid-table would be considered a success
12. Southampton - they were the overachievers of last season. Europa Leaugue will be a distraction that hindered Swansea & Newcastle in their seasons
13. Newcastle - everyone's expecting them & Steve McLaren to fail, so they probably won't. There'll be ups & downs for sure however
14. Crystal Palace - can't see Pardew's honeymoon period extending into this season. Enough quality there to see off relegation concerns
15. Aston Villa - they always stay up don't they?
16. Norwich - look the best equipped to survive for me. Of course need some more signings but that's true of all these low teams
17. Sunderland - one of them & Leicester surely can't pull off another great survival
18. Leicester - see above
19. Watford - probably will start the best of the promoted teams but don't see them pulling away enough
20. Bournemouth - have fun trying. I'm sure they'll pull off some shocks but not enough quality/depth to make the cut

Top 4 is too hard to call really, Chelsea were too dull and haven't strengthened enough from last season and I can't predict Arsenal for the title as much as it's their best chance and I'd love them to win it, think City will just about clinch it this year, looks like they're going to make one more big signing. Sterling and Delph will improve them despite all the benchwarming jokes, but they do need Kompany to find form again, think Mangala will settle and be good this year. Who knows with United, they should improve, but they flattered to deceive last year and think they need to improve a lot to catch the top 3.

Palace being woefully under-predicted, with Southampton and West Ham being in Europa League and Stoke losing their best outfield player I think they're best positioned to challenge Swansea for 'best of the rest'. Warnock aside they've been class for the last 18 months, Cabaye the best signing of the season by far. A centre half to partner Dann is all they really need now, they've a brilliant team. I've lumped on them to finish higher than last season.

Can't see Villa not going down, poor manager and lost their best defender, midfielder and striker, it's about time they went down. Can't see Leicester doing much, odd choice of manager and Cambiasso a massive loss. Watford could do anything, wouldn't surprise me if they finished 10th or 20th to be honest, they've made some excellent signings but who knows how they'll gel. Norwich will be the most solid of the promoted teams, Bournemouth will entertain but a tough April-May means they have too much pressure to survive early, and that didn't work for Norwich and Hull in the last two seasons.

Watford will be the shock team this year, they've made some great signings. I can't see Pulis being relegated so I think he'll leave before the season has finished. West Ham will be the big underachievers.

I'm just looking to see how West Ham go in Europe, same for Southampton. West Ham want to push on to the next level, but it will be interesting to see how the start the season as they should be the most 'match-fit' team in theory.

1. Chelsea
2. Arsenal - narrowly miss out, like Liverpool 2014
3. Manchester City
4. Manchester United - not creative enough, close between them and City though
5. Liverpool - not really close to 4th tbh
6. Tottenham
7. Stoke
8. Everton
9. Swansea
10. Southampton - drop off due to Europe
11. Crystal Palace - will take points of big teams for sure
12. West Ham - not surprise me if they finish anywhere between 8th and 17th tbh laugh.gif Less depressing than the end of last season please.
13. West Brom
14. Bournemouth
15. Aston Villa - hope they go down though
16. Norwich - good manager, lots of Premier League experience through the team
17. Newcastle
18. Leicester - strange appointment in Raneri could cost them.
19. Sunderland - about time
20. Watford- most unpredictable team. Could easily stay up, but will Villa or Newcastle slip? As much as I'd wanna see it, it's unlikely

The league was very dull last week, and most teams will finish roughly where they did last year if I'm honest.

Yeah, not enough transfer activity was the reason he left Palace and West Brom haven't been the most active this summer.

West Ham have made good signings, Payet has been class in preseason. From past experience, they've struggled due to a lack of investment before, not being ambitious enough and failing to capitalise on good seasons. They should be alright.

Well, last season we had a fantastic start, particularly from the Liverpool win in September to Christmas! That was after a terrible preseason, but they are notoriously difficult to predict as a club tbh.

I don't think we'll make the Europa League group stages either, think Southampton could do well though.

Out of the players who played in Malta, only Adrian, Cresswell, Noble and Kouyate are arguably first-choice. I'd say the rest are substitutes or being played to put them in the shop window (which has backfired laugh.gif).

Players like Nolan, Maiga, Jarvis, O'Brien and Zarate are not the future!

Nolan needs to go.

I remember thinking that Zarate would be an incredible purchase.

Think it's either Aston Villa or Sunderland's time up, undecided who yet! Bournemouth and Watford will probs go down, but I can see Watford battling until the last day. Being in the Europa League could affect West Ham's PL performance but it depends if they make it past the qualifiers! Think Stoke and Newcastle will be stronger this season - went with conservative predictions of 8th and 9th but could well challenge for Europa!
