What do you make of the draw? Will you be following your local club throughout the early rounds. I'll be following Worcester City.

My nearest club (Bournemouth Poppies) were knocked out ages ago laugh.gif The next nearest doesn't enter until January.

My guesses for live coverage (two on BT, one on BBC) -

Didcot (the lowest-ranked side left) v Exeter
Salford (owned by some of MU's class of '92, in Round 1 for the first time) v Notts County (founder members of the league)
Maidstone v Yeovil (good chance of an upset)

I guess I don't really have to worry about Exeter getting through this round then. (unless of course, me saying that does them in)

The FA Cup just like the Capitol One Cup is hard to predict. Anything can happen but it usually boils down to 3 teams: Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City. I really hope Manchester United can win it this season, it's been far too long since they last won it!

It's always nice when one of the minnow teams gets shown on TV, it's a big financial boost for grassroots teams and a great sense of pride for those playing. It's a pity the non-league team that I part-own, Lewes F.C, didn't make the 1st round proper, but hopefully next year will be their year.

Whitehawk aren't very far from Lewes.

Very good performance from Salford, they dominated the match from start to finish and deserved the victory. That goal line clearance from Howson was in particularly very good as was their 2nd goal.

I hope Salford can get to the 3rd round at least and get a home draw against one of the top teams in the Premier League. A Salford vs Manchester United or Manchester City match would be fantastic for them and generate a lot of revenue and local interest.

Great performance from Chesham against Bristol Rovers. They were 76 places below them in the various leagues. First time they've got through to the second round since 1980.

Is there not another team that the BBC could have picked other than Salford City, who they showed in round 1.

I think they made the right choice, just like Warrington last year.

Why have people watch, get into the underdog story of a team then never show them again? People can follow their story however long it lasts this way. cheer.gif

I think Salford v Hartlepool was a fairly obvious choice. If the BBC hadn't picked it, then BT would have done.
