i don't get why no one is even MENTIONING melodifestivalen is starting in JUST LESS THAN 4 SHORT DAYS. everyone is too busy discussing inferior countries like IRELAND or the UK (san marino is ok)

So, what do we have? Edvard Blom (the clear highlight obviously), Kamferdrops, some blown out middle-aged dears 20 years too late for a pop career and a couple of young inexperienced people with 'fun' songs?
if I had the time I'd do some research and a write-up but sadly I do not. Looks like a good first heat though. |

KAMFERDROPS - 😍 It's very them which is good
 Benjamin Ingrosso - Sounds good. I think the full thing will be better though. Very funky. Kikki Danielsson - Bless. But no thanks. Edward Blom - Keep It. Renaida - OH MY! Her voice is very Grace Davies meets Zara Larsson. The song sounds like a right banger. Could be the Ace of this year tbh. John Ludvik - If this exlodes the way I think it will, I think it will be one of the best ballads we hear during the WHOLE of Eurovision season. Sigrid Bernson - ANOTHER BANGER!! Oh my. So excited for this in full! Only two tracks that I wouldn't come back to.

Sigrid: Good, but won't win. May even struggle to go DTF.
John: Quite boring, but to Jonjo's point, could explode and be very good. Renaida: Very excited for this, probably the best of the heat. Edward: Pinne  Cute and Inoffensive, but does nothing for me.Kikki: Actually the first time I'll be watching her compete live. But no thank you. Kamferdrops: Never heard of this person before. Swedish Sia? TBH, some of this is good, some of this is just a mess. Benjamin: I was pretty honest that I hated him last year.. this isn't any better than the shit he peddled last year. What will probably happen: DTF: Benjamin/Sigrid AC: Kamferdrops and either John or Renaida Top 5 is very tight, so this is an interesting heat. |

I think we're kidding ourselves if we think Edward Blom is getting left in the heat. I have a horrible feeling it could be the "Boogieman Blues" of the year. Kamferdrops doing everything with her performance to distract from the vocals I see I think Renaida and Benjamin sound the most promising. Sigrid's song doesn't sound as good as "This Summer" but I am loving the Patrick Swayze line |

Benjamin's staging looks brilliant! I think the fight for 2nd - 5th is all going to depend on who best captures the hearts of the app voters. At the moment that feels like Renaida but it may just as easily be Kamferdrops/Sigrid. I don't think Edward is going to appeal enough to be going Direkt but I reckon he'll manage to pip something to Andra Chansen.

John: Kill it before Heart FM gets wind of it. Renaida: Sounds musically rather good, although not too great, but although 'feels' transcending Internet talk is going to be quite cringe Edward: A bit different to what I was expecting but I could get on board with this still in a 50s Disney movie number kind of way. Bet the stage performance will be fun although I'm not looking at any of those. Boogieman Blues of the year sounds like a FANTASTIC idea. Kikki: Qt. But we have this song every year and it's always exactly the same and entirely doomed. Kamferdrops: I love her vocal tone, I'm getting used to it now I've heard it more than once, and that breakdown sounds, if not takeoff fantastic, something that is going to be very good to listen to. Benjamin: WILL THIS BLOODY HORRENDOUS STYLE OF MUSIC DIE A WELL DESERVED DEATH ALREADY? Edward and Kamferdrops sounds like the main things I'm getting out of this, feels like a heat of two halves. |

After the 30 Second Clips:
I feel Sigrid could be in danger. That's a Busy Doing Nothin' rip off if I ever saw one. I'm sure she's a lock for AC, but above that.. not so sure. John I think could easily beat out Renaida for the other AC spot. Renaida looked awkward on stage by herself. Love the song, but I think the lack of UMPH is going to be her downfall. Kamferdrops is god awful, I'm sorry. But I have a feeling her performance could take her DTF or at least AC. Benjamin's staging is fantastic. But, the more I hear the song the more I hate it. |

Not looking like a great heat, however, Bejamin sounds great and looks disturbingly hot (bad sweater, but he’s giving us 1983 feels I suppose...) |
