Well I've only heard three of the other songs in my semi - YAY at me being in with Kacy Hill, that'll hopefully significantly boost her chances of qualifying (unlike last time I let Bal take one of my entries and I ended up segregated from it and it DNQed justice for Oscar And The Wolf). Aside from that I also know Jolin Tsai and Spinee, and I really like both of them too so this semi seems off to a good start. On the other hand I've heard seven songs from semi 1 already - Yeasayer need to SMASH IT please, one of my favourite songs of 2010

Being separated from two of the people who liked my song is not an ideal start to my chances of qualifying though. Oop. I will save my panicking for when the first odds/predictions come through because I can't judge whether or not this is a good enough draw for me ~

(the Llewandia issue still doesn't seem to have been fixed )

Botanikka's link also appears to lead to the wrong song - could these 2 be fixed by a mod (or Math if ur online) ASAP? (And while I'm pointing out another incorrect link, FSR Rontvia's link also doesn't seem to work, and in fact my link doesn't either blah, + Cadelicia's seems to have been taken down).

EDIT: D'yermak'er's song is also incorrect - it looks like Math replaced the graphics when people re-confirmed but not the actual links Dramz

IN SUMMARY: Botanikka, Land of DW and D'yermak'er's links go to the wrong song. FSR Rontvia, Persephonia and Cadelicia's links also don't work.

(Regarding point 2 Bellamia definitely did vote last night BTW and I see no reason why Jacksland wouldn't have also done so)

Well, I try to listen to all the songs properly at least once before I narrow down to a top 18-20, then I listen to these again, narrow down to a top 12-14, etc., which means I listen to the top 10 at least 4 times before I submit my votes. It's not a rule, but this is the way I try to respect the other participants' time spent on choosing the best entry for themselves.
Voting in the first minute when the links are not even correct yet (not blaming M¤th, we are human, mistakes happen) is not really fair to the others, it's like you don't really care (my opinion only). Ok, there are special cases (you will have zero minutes free in the next 5 days, you won't even have time to eat, you'll live in a cave without wifi, etc), but these are rare.

Sry I feel like I'm harassing you a bit now Math but we might as well stamp out all the issues as early as possible Usfland's graphic has been used again where Jukianië's is supposed to be in semi 2 (the link is correct but not the image).

I have just gone through all of the links again to make sure the rest is all fine (which it is). BTW the issue with FSR Rontvia and my link is just that there's a space after 'http://' in the links.

FSR Rontvia/Persephonia/Cadelicia links are still not working The rest is fine though.

For the first two you need to delete the space after http:// and for the last one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_xW_sQ9CQw is a working link (the one in the OP has been taken down).

Of course these aren't as important as the incorrect song links though ~

I can confirm that I did indeed vote last night - I like to do it on a late night and that was the only late night I have before the deadline. I did notice a couple of dodgy links and sought out the correct ones so you weren't at a disadvantage.

A HUGE well done to Math for 1) getting this up so prompty, looking really nice, and 2) for sorting all the issues so quickly!

The semi itself was pretty great on the whole, I wanted to vote for 14 songs which is more than usual. And this is without the entry I'm HYPING (ie. Séyetana) being in my semi (damn random.org).

Zippy is tricky, as there as HUGE download buttons, but once you get to know how it works (the download button is always on the right side, now with the shitty 'I'm not a robot' bit), it's really easy, uploads and downloads are super-fast.

Hi Guys,

Sorry to do this to y'all but unfortunately we bring some bad news. There was a couple of wires crossed that has lead to Ajanaeda's "99 Souls - The Girl Is Mine" not being subjected to the standard veto process. Now usually this wouldn't be much of a problem. However in this case we have elected to pull this entry from BJSC LXXI and Ajanaeda will provide a replacement shortly.

The track, had everything gone smoothly in terms of it being thoroughly investigated and compared to the veto framework, would've been auto-vetoed due to it very heavily sampling a single by an artist, Beyoncé, with an AF on Buzzjack. Apologies to all affected by this and to all who has already voted, you will obviously be given another opportunity to resubmit your votes had Ajaneda been within your initial top10 and you wish to make an amendment.

I completely see why the song is being pulled and all but I wouldn't personally have bothered this late into the game ~ I hope the semis and such can continue smoothly now nonetheless

Relax Math and take it easy. During the first two or three days there normally wouldn't be many votes. After the deadline approaches closer, then will you find an influx of votes being sent into your PM. I agree it's fun to see who is voting for what (I personally love seeing them myself and go "YAY" if someone votes for a song I enjoy), but you don't want to stay up for 0 votes to be sent to you by the end of the night!

My votes are in. Really not a vintage semi, the highlights were the few songs I already knew and beyond that there was only a small handful of songs I loved. There wasn't anything I massively hated either though (not even Ashton - in fact, they weren't even last!)

There could be some interesting qualifiers here if only because more than half of the songs sound like DNQs. SURELY I have to be safe out of this lot! (and Kacy Hill too plz because I claim her as my entry as well xox)

Listened through semi 1 today, a lot stronger than semi 2. My entire top 12 would have received at least 5 points in semi 2

I don't think having their entry taken away is going to affect Ajanaeda too much, the replacement sounds like a big hit as well! Reminds me a bit of The Subs.

'BANG!' has to be the most misleadingly titled song ever. Was expecting a banger, not a Parra For Cuva clone (It wasn't as bad as Parra For Cuva to be fair though).

The deadline could really do with being extended a little if there are still like 10+ people to vote come midnight, the voting window was much shorter than usual after all, I was always a little wary of the lack of any weekend in it. (Usually when this happens most people do still end up voting anyway though so I shouldn't speak so soon ~)

Semi 2 was definitely among the lower quality semis I can remember (I was giving points to several songs that I 'only' rated 8/10 whereas I normally get commiserations that I rated 9/10 or even 9.5/10 sometimes (my ratings are very generous)) but semi 1 was far, far better. As long as I don't lose a significant number of my favourites I should still be able to scrape together a very strong top 10 for the final.
