Artwork rating: 7/10 - Blue is one of my favourite colours so that lifts this for sure! The familiar 3D effect is looking decent too.
Disc 1 Favourite: The KLF feat. Tammy Wynette – Justified And Ancient (Stand By The Jams) - 'Stay' is an absolutely amazing track but 'Justified And Acient' has just about edged it! It helps that it's been in my head loads lately (see my latest weekend plans thread title! ) but yeah this is just a timeless classic. A total banger that is just full of energy and worms its way into your head effortlessly, especially the "all bound for mu mu land" part! *.* Disc 2 Favourite: 2 Unlimited - 'Twilight Zone' - Not quite as strong as 'No Limit' but it is pretty similar in sound to that, and the 2 Unlimited sound gets the thumbs up from me. Overall rating: 7/10 - Disc 1 is mostly fabulous but disc 2 brings this down a bit as that one isn't really a vintage moment in the series. |

The tally of #1 singles came to 4 of a possible 6 between the release date of Now 20 to Now 21. The other 2 #1 singles that were not included was Michael Jackson – Black Or White as well as George Michael & Elton John – Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me. Now 21 is a well mixed collection of smooth pop ballads, brit-pop classics and dancehall raves along with other genres. Names include Queen, Shakespear's Sister, The KLF, 2 Unlimited and Diana Ross. Now 21 was the first time in the series we heard appearances from Crowded House, Right Said Fred, Everything But The Girl, Brian May, Ce Ce Peniston, Curtis Stigers and Diana Ross. It was also the only time we could expect to hear appearances from The Temptations, Julia Fordham, Mr Big, The Jesus And Mary Chain, Shanice, Pasadenas, East Side Beat, Clivilles & Cole, Opus III and Alison Limerick. The cover followed the same 3D logo design as Now 20 introduced us to, and the backdrop was a cloudy blue sky. Very smart, a new theme not used before, and one which would be used in similar veins as recent as Now 69. Now 21 was a good induction to what 1992 was all about, and the musical selection is very good, especially with an increase in tracks. The cover works well for me, it's original which is good, and has a bold title which submits authority. It would be followed by 2 more releases from 1992, so certainly more selection from the year were still to come. Artwork Rating: 6/10 Good A nice design with the logo floating in the sky with a backdrop of clouds. Bright and vivid. Might have been nice to get a little more detail, but these were still early days and cover designs were still relatively simple at best. Disc 1 Favourite: Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody A timeless classic from Queen. Originally a #1 hit in 1975 for 9 weeks but re-released in 1991 and went to #1 again for a further 5 weeks. Quite an astonishing feat actually. This song really is Queen's signature hit and is known worldwide. Disc 2 Favourite: Opus III – It's A Fine Day Not really a great selection to choose from, but this song seemed to resonate with me more for some reason, so I've chosen this as my Disc 2 favourite. Overall Rating: 5/10 Poor It's a mark down on its predecessor in my opinion, and Disc 2 doesn't leave much of a lasting impression either. Having said that, there are certainly some gems to be found, and a timeless classic by Queen is a great way to introduce the compilation. Andrew's Best 5 (as of December 2016) 1. Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody 2. Simply Red – Stars 3. Opus III – It's A Fine Day 4. Shakespear's Sister – Stay 5. The KLF – Justified And Ancient (Stand By The Jams) Andrew's Worst 5 (as of December 2016) 1. Julia Fordham – (Love Moves) In Mysterious Ways 2. Everything But The Girl – Love Is Strange 3. Salt-N-Pepa – Expression 4. Right Said Fred – Deeply Dippy 5. Curtis Stigers – I Wonder Why |

Oh man I forgot about the co-op mode. Must have played that so much. Floyd was so amazing.
Would have been rejected because NZG wanted it to be a reader review. But yeah. Impossible seeming as it is on N64 .... |

Bohemian Rhapsody is clearly the best song but I didn't vote for it as it's from a different time. KLF got my vote for both discs.
Besides Queen and KLF,I like: Stay - Shakespear's Sister It Must Be Love - Madness I Can't Dance - Genesis Weather With You - Crowded House Driven By You - Brian May |
