I can't see her second album being released this year if Adele is due. Mid-2015 at the earliest surely.

She's been working on it for a while now, with Naughty Boy, Alicia Keys, presumably lots of others as well. I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be released this year and "Adele is releasing this year" is a bit of a pale excuse. It's possible she could hold off until Q1 of 2015 though.

So it's come to light now that Emeli's recently divorced her husband Adam, and I suspect this is why we've not heard anything on the music front for a while now.

I can't remember where I read it but didn't she and a few others move back their album releases because of Adele dropping 25 in the next few months? Might be wrong though.

Probably! I can imagine a few of the big names will be trying to avoid releasing when Adele's campaign kicks off. I'm guessing Emeli's album is mostly done already, because she's been saying for a long while now that new music is imminent, etc. so it could be that they're waiting for Adele to drop first.
