I'm liking this for now but this is most definitely gonna be one of those songs that gets super annoying very quickly. And for that reason I hope this doesn't smash here.

It's already #1 in Ireland, Denmark, Norway & Sweden I'd be very surprised if it doesn't at least challenge for #1 in the UK in the next month or so

Her debut EP The Kids Are Coming was released yesterday too featuring Dance Monkey and Johnny Run Away smile.gif The title track sounds like it could be a Billie Eilish song if not for the drastically different voice and Jimmy has her singing a lot more subdued too

Heard it, its very good. She sounds a bit like Duffy I think.

And there was me thinking most of you on the Buzzjack Pop Forum would have loved this. Buzzjack usually likes this kind of unusual indie pop.

Was a bit unsure on the first one or two listens but I've got over her voice quickly and now becoming obsessed with this

Not here for the Sam & the Womp comparisons - "Bom Bom" was truly awful, this is amazing

Another thing I noticed...she sounds like she is singing with an accent in the chorus, it sounds a little bit like both a East Asian accent and a Scandinavian accent in different parts of it.

Yes I think this is cooler than the Sam and the Womp track, also the Sam and Womp track was intended to be a novelty song, and I don't think this is really a novelty song, just because something is different doesn't mean its a novelty song. I quite like the Sam and the Womp track for the record but I think its unfair to compare them myself.

I'm a fan! Interesting that I'm neither loving this or hating this but I can accept her voice for what it is. I'm surprised this is crossing over tbh but it's always good to have some Australian representation in the UK charts.

Also bar the voice this is nothing like 'Bom Bom' - the voice on this stands out more due to the more subdued production. It's funny how I like this but not ALMA, couldn't tell you why!
