US BOX OFFICE ESTIMATES
1 The Boss Baby ($26.3M)
2 Beauty and the Beast ($25M)
3 Smurfs: The Lost Village ($14M)
4 Going In Style ($12.5M)
5 Ghost in the Shell ($7.4M)
BatB now up to $977M worldwide, so close to a billion!

SIX BATMAN RELATED Films in ONE YEAR???!! The Batman franchise is my favourite of the superhero lot but that sounds utterly crazy!!
The Batman film will still have Deathstroke but not as a main villain. Matt Reeves wants to do a larger scale Batman film that will include the Bat family as well as most of Batman's rogues.
In addition, two Batman animated films are also planned for 2019. One will be an adaptation of The Long Halloween.
Grant Wilson might be the villain for the Nightwing solo film. He is hired by Roland Desmond to take out all the mob bosses in Blüdhaven.
Suicide Squad 2 or Dark Universe will most likely be taking Aquaman's previous release date.
Mel Gibson is no longer the front runner to direct the Suicide Squad sequel. Jaume Collet-Serra and Ruben Fleischer are now the top candidates. The script is currently being written with a story pitch given by [David]Ayer. Killer Frost will be the new female lead to replace Harley Quinn.
The Dark Universe script is going through final rewrites. Guillermo Del Toro's old treatment was used as a base and was rewritten to connect to the universe. If [Doug] Liman is ready, filming could start as early as summer.
Four movies are also planned for 2020. Warner Bros wants to do two low budget/smaller scale films and two big budget/larger scale films per year.
Jonathan Levine is in talks to direct The Flash. The film will most likely release in 2020.
Matthew Vaughn will most likely write the Man of Steel sequel if he takes on the directional duties.

Tha's a decent choice to be fair, he has a lot of charisma and I like seeing him in films even though he doesn't really remind me much of Richard Harris or Michael Gambon much. Ewan McGregor would've been amazing though imo

Adam McKay's follow up to The Big Short is going to be a Dick Cheney biopic starring Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Steve Carrell. One to watch out for at Oscars 2019

Ahh so Christian and Amy are confirmed then? *.* they had amazing chemstry in The Fighter and American Hustle so this is bound to be good.

She's playing his wife so I really HOPE this isn't a dull wife role like 'The Master'...In other news, Beauty and the Beast has become the first live-action fairytale since Alice in Wonderland to cross the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office.

From what I read "boring" is not a word used to describe her looks like a really meaty role for Amy and one we don't see her do often.....someone pretty unlikable.

A fair bit down on Furious 7 in the US but that was to be expected and it is doing amazing worldwide, could add another $1.5B grossing movie to the franchise by the end of its run (or at least close, it's over a third of the way there after a three day box office weekend!)
