The UK media are all over Jesy today following the admission that she attempted suicide in 2013 - scary that we’d never have known sad.gif

This will be interesting and may highlight the damage hurtful comments can cause.

Weird to say I'm looking forward to this, because that feels strange to say about something so painful for someone but I think it'll be a very insightful look as to how horrible comments can make such an impact on someone's life. Even now, I see people taunting her with her surgery she's had and it's so sad to see, she doesn't seem to be able to catch a break.

She's always been my absolute fave, just because she was so funny throughout interviews and really stood her ground - in calling Piers Morgan a silly twat live on air being an absolute highlight. I'm really interested to get to know more of her and more about her.

It's for BBC 3 which is why it's already online, but it's indeed airing on BBC 1 at 9pm tonight.

It’s a really tough watch

Social media has exploded due to this. All positive (well apart from people now trolling K Hopkins).

What a brilliant, if tough to watch, documentary.

She's absolutely incredible for doing this and getting the conversation going on this sort of thing again. Such an eye opener! It's something you kinda know happens but you don't realise just how much it happens and I'm really not surprised to see that something like that could have a huge toll on someone and make it feel very difficult for them. It's a real eye opener. They touched up on some of the comments in their VT right before their 'Beautiful' performance, but again it seemed like they were literally only scratching the surface of what was actually happening. Then their trip to Japan to promote over there with the cardboard standee of her... I had NO idea that was the reason cry.gif

Seeing the other 3 girls get involved in this documentary was really important and absolutely amazing to see. Jade's comments in particular </3

---

From here on out any trolling comments of such like "Instatarts Like Me" or something, will be deleted. Without hesitation.

I haven't got round to watching this yet.

But regarding Katie, its 100% a front. She will just find the popular opinion and argue against it. It's all a front to get famous.

Really hard viewing I cried watching it.

The problem is our media (newspapers) are just as bad look at how they treated (still do sometimes) Victoria Beckham. “Talentless Spice” “Skeleton Spice” “It’s her fault her husband strayed as she wasn’t with him but trying to plug a failing solo career” “Ugly” “The one who can’t sing” “Only successful because of David” “Attention seeking fame whore”

They are all headlines / articles about her. If the national newspapers are doing it then how can we stop internet trolls? We live in such a nasty bullying society!
