#SlayberryTop50!!! Chart Show! With Cody Christian! Week Ending: April 12, 2015 Last Week's chart Last week was pretty hectic. And here's what happened: 1.) (7.) (7) Fifth Harmony & Kid Ink - Worth It *1 week @ #1* 2.) (1.) (5) Conor Maynard - Talking About *2 weeks @ #1* 3.) (2.) (6) Zedd & Selena Gomez - I Want You To Know *2 weeks @ #1* Fifth Harmony smashed it this week, becoming a dark horse #1 contender among extremely strong March debuts. Will they take it again? Also: four debuts coming up this week. |

The battle begins.
50 01 OMI - "Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)" Non-album single Chart Run: 50- (1 week) So first up is a new entry from OMI, which is pretty much the next "Waves"/"Prayer In C". It has already topped the Australian charts, so we've already gotten a major English country giving this major support. It's a pretty soft track, and it's going off against Conor come release week. Good God. This post has been edited by Cody Slayberry: 10th April 2015, 10:07 PM |

49 01 Rihanna - "Bitch Better Have My Money" 2nd single, TBA Chart Run: 49- (1 week) Rihanna charts once more with her second single from her latest album, "Bitch Better Have My Money", and boy is this amazing. How fitting that this entered the "whore out" section of my playlist right when I go to Vegas. Also, her April Fools prank on Jimmy Kimmel really boosted my awareness for this song. It's slowly inching back onto US airplay, so expect this to move up a bit more soon. |

48 01 Ed Sheeran & Rudimental - "Bloodstream" 4th single, X Chart Run: 48- (1 week) Next up is the song that flopped at getting to #1 even with some pretty nice pre-orders: Ed and Rudimental. Would he have gotten #1 without the remix? Who knows. The UK would have combined the copies anyway. Will this become huge in the US? Who knows. |

47 33 12 Ne-Yo f/Juicy J - "She Knows" Lead single, Non-Fiction Chart Run: 46-34-28-18-9-7-9-11-16-25-33-47... (12 weeks) The biggest dropper this week goes to Ne-Yo with a song that's miles better than his UK lead single, "Coming With You" (a.k.a. the second US single). However, this got knocked down by lack of pop support and the fact that I've started debuting 4-5 singles off my butt. So... I guess that's why it's where it is This post has been edited by Cody Slayberry: 10th April 2015, 10:43 PM |

46 47 02 Martin Garrix f/Usher - "Don't Look Down" 2nd single, +x Chart Run: 47-46... (02 weeks) I'd like to say that Martin Garrix is getting more situated with his new sound, and it's pretty banging. So much that it can make Usher redeem himself from the annoying monstrosity that is "I Don't Mind" Usher's vocals blend nicely with this, and Martin's production is spot-on (then again, when isn't it?). Now that this is getting some radio support, Martin should be well on his way to a second US hit |

45 46 03 Fall Out Boy - "Uma Thurman" 2nd single, American Beauty/American Psycho Chart Run: 49-46-45... (03 weeks) Current US Alternative single "Uma Thurman" remains in the bottom 10 positions this week, being slaughtered by the amount of freshness within this chart. Seeing her name keeps reminding me about how I need to catch up on The Slap oops. This post has been edited by Cody Slayberry: 10th April 2015, 10:57 PM |

44 36 20 Mark Ronson f/Bruno Mars - "Uptown Funk" Lead single, Uptown Special Chart Run: 45-32-9-1-1-2-1-1-2-4-6-10-14-14-18-19-22-30-36-44... (20 weeks) SUCH A GOOD SONG. This song is on its way to smashing the record on most weeks at #1 on Billboard (which probably won't happen because of Wiz Khalifa), but its longevity is pretty remarkable. Still relevant within the country due to massive performances and the fact that this is Bruno Mars. Too bad that it means Mark Ronson might become a one-hit wonder oops. |

43 42 04 Oliver Heldens - "Melody" Non-album single Chart Run: 49-47-42-43... (04 weeks) This is three things: one of the best from Oliver Heldens, a song by him that's not named after an animal, and an "Adagio For Strings"-esque house song with a seriously trippy video. It's what I wanna do on my spring break. It hasn't outpeaked "Koala" yet oops. |

42 35 14 Fifth Harmony - "Sledgehammer" 2nd single, Reflection Chart Run: 48-37-26-22-17-14-6-9-13-17-21-28-35-42... (14 weeks) The one giant song that really sparked up due to Cody Christian getting on Teen Wolf. Well that and "Worth It". Anyway, this was pretty iconic for lasting so long with the general public in the US, especially with radio airplay. It stil flopped oops. BUT LAUREN LOOKS SO GOOD IN THIS YAAAAAS LAUREN YOU LOOK SO GOOD |

41 44 02 Jess Glynne - "Hold My Hand" 2nd single, TBA Chart Run: 44-41... (02 weeks) The current UK #1 is just shy of top 40 this week, and you'll get to see what blocked it later on. Anyway, this is an amazing breakthrough for Jess, getting the "Rather Be" singer her first #1 as a solo artist, and possibly aiming to smash in the US (and possibly stripping her of her one-hit wonder status there). |

40 :new: 01 Hilary Duff - "Sparks" 3rd Single, TBA Chart Run: 40... (01 week) Hilary scores the highest debut this week, and this is the second week in a row that the highest debut comes in at #40. Rightfully so because this sounds like it comes straight out of Dignity, which is what we as Hilary stans have been waiting for. |

38 39 05 Iggy Azalea f/Jennifer Hudson - "Trouble" 7th Single, The New Classic/Reclassified Chart Run: 50-45-39-39-38... (05 weeks) Okay, gotta say this: the single cover actually looks pretty cool. The "Trouble" video is what the "Change Your Life" video should have probably been (despite it being fab as f*ck). J-Hudd's lipstick color is EVERYTHING. J-Hudd is EVERYTHING. |

37 38 03 Clean Bandit - "Stronger" 8th Single, New Eyes Chart Run: 40-38-37... (03 weeks) Up next is the Clean Bandit song featuring the lead singer for Years & Years, but then re-recorded to feature vocals from Unique Wade Adams. Either way, that re-recorded version is giving me LIFE. |

36 41 04 Shaggy f/Mohombi, Faydee & Costi - "I Need Your Love" Non-album Single Chart Run: 50-48-41-36... (04 weeks) So earlier this year, I was actually reminded that Shaggy still exists. Wow. Anyway, here's the single by him that has managed to crack the US top 40 airplay charts, ending a drought of his songs spanning up to 12/13 years! Crazy. Also the first for the other three as well. |

35 27 14 AronChupa - "I'm An Albatraoz" Non-album Single Chart Run: 23-16-15-12-10-7-5-5-10-13-17-21-27-35... (14 weeks) This was part of the large song debut influx that came about during the beginning of the year, and this was also one of the best-performing ones, "Time Of Our Lives", "Up" and "Sledgehammer" also doing the best with it. This was a song that I was partially against because I thought this was gonna become another deep house song (which I thought was overused by the fall of last year), but giving this a chance, it became such an instant hit for me. |

34 24 10 Imagine Dragons - "I Bet My Life" Lead Single, Smoke + Mirrors Chart Run: 42-39-32-31-33-27-28-26-24-34... (14 weeks) Up next, dropping 10 spots is Imagine Dragons with "I Bet My Life". They have really redeemed themselves from the pukefest that is "Demons" and the borefest that is "On Top Of The World". This sounds like the latter but better. Even more appealing is the fact that Dane DeHaan is in this video. I still think Dylan Sprayberry is in this video. |
