I thought Lewis would be ahead in this with yesterday's streams missing, but it's obvious Tones will get a 9th week at #1 now.

If only "This Is Real" keep that top 15 position it may score top 10 after Xmas
Good to see Endor, Meduza and Riton inside top 20 as well. Dua sould overtake that dire Ed Shitan song, I really hope she will |

Could Lewis Capaldi be within grasp of a second UK Number 1 single before the year is out?
The 2019 Scottish breakthrough star goes head-to-head with reigning chart topper Tones & I and her global chart smash Dance Monkey in this week’s Official Singles Chart race. Before You Go is up 17 places to Number 2 and trails by just 1000 chart sales after the first 48 hours, can the self-styled "America's Sweetheart" overtake Tones & I before Friday? It’s one of two Capaldi tracks heading for this week’s Top 5; Bruises (5) is up one place since last week. Here's a little reminder of what happened the last time Lewis Capaldi sniffed chart-topping glory... Stormzy and Ed Sheeran are just behind and look set to bag the week’s highest new entry – their collaboration with Burna Boy, Own It, taken from Stormzy’s forthcoming album, Heavy Is The Head (out December 13) enters at Number 3 on today’s First Look Top 20. Elsewhere, newcomer Arizona Zervas is continuing his rise up the Official Chart and on course for a personal best this week. The Maryland US singer/rapper whose popularity has risen with the help of video sharing site Tik Tok, is up two places to Number 8. Jax Jones and Ella Henderson could be looking at a new peak this week too – This Is Real is currently up 6 places to Number 14. Lewisham rapper/songwriter Digdat may also enjoy a personal best on the Official Chart this week if new entry New Dior featuring D Block Europe (17) maintains its position through until Friday. See where Digdat's previous songs have charted. A similar story for Partynextdoor – the Canadian writer/rapper/producer is on track for his first Top 20 as a lead artist, teaming up with Drake on new single Loyal, a new entry at 18. And finally, the Defected-signed rising Brighton producer Endor looks set for yet another big climb - dance-floor anthem Pump It Up may break the Top 20 for the first time this week following a six-week unbroken ascent up the Official Chart, up 9 places to Number 20 after two days. Don't like Lewis Capaldi at all or any of his previous music but I have to be honest and say this new song is very very good.

It’s bad that not even someone like LewCap or Ed can knock Tones off the top. I hope she doesn’t finish him off like Dua did to JB two years ago

G'won Endor pumping up the charts!
Ugh at Meduza frustratingly close to top 10 again but at least JaxElla are climbing and Tones is still #1 denying Lewis. |

Coldplay will obviously top the album chart but wonder if Robbie may be No.2.

It's crazy how big 'Dance Monkey' still is. I understand why most number 1 songs this year reached the top spot even if I didn't personally like them. But I just don't really get why this song is so huge or which demographic of people are listening to this.

Coldplay will obviously top the album chart but wonder if Robbie may be No.2. He should be as last weeks no1 will fall quite a bit by the way it's sales were slow by the end of last week. He's also doing a lot of promo being on various programmes this weekend. |

But I just don't really get why this song is so huge or which demographic of people are listening to this. I know I'm old but I don't get it at all. I can't stand her voice and am told it's her natural voice with no auto-tuning. Are we totally ruling it out being Xmas No.1 because it'll be on ACR then? We don't know for sure if it'll be on ACR, it could always evade it again if it has an increase of streams in the next 3 weeks.

After New Rules blocked Friends from #1, JB has found it hard getting constant #1s like he used to It's laughable that you think Dua was the reason for him not getting constant #1s after that ("finished him off" ) He basically just hasn't released a big commercial sounding single since then, that's all. When he comes back with his next proper lead single he'll have every chance of getting to #1. |

Westlife needed promo this week to hold up, with how sales dropped after the first midweeks I think they will have a big fall. I hope coldplay get the number 1 album.

Not even Sheeran and Capaldi can topple the mighty Tones. I'm enjoying the reign of this random chart behemoth.

After New Rules blocked Friends from #1, JB has found it hard getting constant #1s like he used to He's not released a single of his own since then he's been on three singles, one of which spent ages at #1 earlier this year, No Brainer was a decent-sized hit and I think 10,000 Hours did better than most people would have expected. Justin's in a fine position and it's nothing to do with Dua - there is no connection. |
