I've always meant to start a topic like this but never got round to it so thought it was a good idea when I couldn't sleep at 5am ;o
We regard Umbrella, We Found Love et al as Rih's classics but what did y'all think of them when they first came out? Time to find out. I loved WFL at first I think but I've gone off it a fair bit, definitely her most overrated song as it's probably between lke 25-40 in her best songs for me oops. I remember being unsure of Umbrella at first, but I had an awful habit of hating songs at first then like 2 listens later deciding I loved them when I was younger

It definitely seemed like a big risk for her at the time, definitely paid off though. Absolutely love it 😍 Love this idea for a thread btw Andrew, love reading people's first impressions haha. |
