BuzzJack Music Forum _ UK Charts _ YouTube streams to be counted to the UK Singles Chart

Posted by: danG Apr 1 2018, 07:15 AM

The OCC just announced on twitter! ohmy.gif I'm not a fan but will be interesting to see how this affects the chart in the future.

1:300 will be the standard ratio for YT streams and it will go to 1:600 for songs on ACR.

Will probably just have the effect of giving Ed and Drake even longer chart runs drama.gif

If (or when) it does happen I hope the ratio is more like 1000:1!

They must be really intent on stopping One Dance from being the first song to spent 120 weeks at #1.

When this happens, I'm out. Do unpaid-for Spotify streams count towards the chart? Insane if so.
